There is no NBA this year,

UNIONDALE, N. Daniel Sturridge Jersey .Y. -- The Detroit Red Wings had just enough time to salvage a point. They still havent figured out how to make the most of overtime. Pavel Datsyuk, in his 800th NHL game, scored his second goal of the night with 42.5 seconds left in regulation, but the Red Wings couldnt turn it into a win as they were beaten 5-4 by the New York Islanders in a shootout on Saturday night. The Red Wings have lost six straight overall, five in a row in extra time, and three consecutive in shootouts -- including two on back-to-back nights. "If we hadnt gone through the last five, six games, this point would be pretty good," forward Henrik Zetterberg said. "Right now its tough. We cant find a way to win a game. I think we battled hard. It was a back-to-back game and we found a way to come back at the end. "Overall, I think its a good point, but we were right there to get two points." The Red Wings arrived in New York around 2 a.m. Saturday after losing at home to Washington on Friday. Detroit is 1-7 after regulation this season, 0-4 in shootouts. "We found a way to get a point," Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said. "We obviously have to get better. We will get better. Its pretty obvious weve got to win in regulation because the shootout is killing us. "Its like anything in life, it gets in your head a little bit. To me weve got to be hard-headed and mentally tough. The standings could be a lot different for us if we won all these games, especially these shootouts." Kevin Poulin was the difference for the Islanders after he replaced the injured Evgeni Nabokov in the first period. Neither team could hold the lead until he finally shut the door in the tiebreaker, denying Henrik Zetterberg, Datsyuk and Todd Bertuzzi. "I love this," Poulin said. "I was not nervous in the shootout, was pretty excited actually. I felt comfortable. You have to be ready to jump in. Thats why I play hockey." Frans Nielsen scored the only shootout goal for the Islanders, who had dropped five of six. "Kevin really stepped up for us," Islanders captain John Tavares said. "We kept calm and it paid off in the end." Cal Clutterbuck had given the Islanders a 4-3 lead when he had the second deflection of Aaron Ness shot from the left point past Gustavsson 4:43 into the third for his second goal. The Islanders are 6-0-1 against Detroit in the past seven meetings and havent been beaten by the Red Wings in regulation since November 2003. New York outshot Detroit 15-4 in the third period and 6-1 in overtime. Tavares had a goal and assist to stretch his point and assist streaks to five games. Casey Cizikas and Brock Nelson both scored tying goals in the second period for the Islanders. Poulin made 19 saves in relief of Nabokov, who injured a groin. Darren Helm and Johan Franzen had the other goals for the Red Wings, and Gustavsson stopped 37 shots through overtime in his first outing in place of Jimmy Howard since Oct. 23. Both teams were held at bay throughout most of the second period, but then combined for three goals in a span of 1:20 in the final three minutes of the frame. The Islanders got even 2-2 when the Red Wings poorly played a rush into their zone. Matt Martin carried the puck deep and fanned on a shot, but Colin McDonald got his stick on the puck and put it on Gustavsson. Cizikas got to that rebound and scored his second of the season and second in two games with 2:10 remaining. But for the second time, Islanders fans barely had a chance to celebrate before the Red Wings responded. Helm brought the puck into the New York zone and fed a pass to Franzen on the left wing. Franzen glided from the circle into the middle of the ice and snapped a drive past Poulin just 33 seconds later. This time it was the Islanders turn to answer quickly, and they did it 20 seconds into Luke Glendenings tripping penalty. Nelson scored with a second poke with 49.5 seconds remaining. The Red Wings wiped out their early 1-0 deficit just nine seconds after they fell behind, and knocked out Nabokov in the process. Helm won a faceoff against Tavares, right after the Islanders captain put New York in front at 4:03 with his ninth goal. The Red Wings controlled the puck in their zone until defenceman Jonathan Ericsson found Helm with a long lead pass that led to a breakaway. Helm came in on Nabokov, made a move that caused the goalie to do a split, and scored his second of the season at 4:12 to tie it 1-1. The 38-year-old Nabokov was playing for the first time in four games and the second in six. He was assisted by a trainer in the crease before getting up on his skates and gingerly skating while hunched over to the tunnel leading to the dressing room. Nabokov came into Saturday with a 5-5-3 record and 3.24 goals-against average. "He means a lot to this team, all of us," Tavares said. "Not everyone knows how much he does for us in this room. Hes important." Datsyuk made it 2-1 with 1:42 left in the first period, scoring a power-play goal with Bertuzzi screening Poulin in front. The Toronto Maple Leafs are now the only team Datsyuk hasnt scored a goal against. NOTES: The Red Wings recalled Glendening from Grand Rapids (AHL) to fill in for forward Daniel Alfredsson, who missed his second straight game because of a groin injury. ... The Islanders failed to score on a 4-minute power play that spanned the second and third periods after Franzen was called for high-sticking. Nathaniel Clyne Jersey . beat Ryan Blaney off a restart with 21 laps to go and hung on to win the NASCAR Nationwide Series race Sunday at Iowa Speedway. Fabio Borini Jersey .com Tour title, beating Richard Sterne with a birdie on the first hole of a playoff. With former NBA player Mark Strickland leading from the sidelines, the Oshawa Power won their National Basketball League of Canada home opener 107-80 against the visiting Moncton Miracles in front of a relatively small but enthusiastic crowd. Kansas State University product Akeem Wright led the Power (1-1)with a game-high 27 points, scoring 18 points in the first half on 7-of-10 shooting. He also grabbed 11 rebounds to help stake the Power to a 48-26 lead after two quarters. Oshawas defence stymied the Miracles all night, holding them to 34 per cent from the field. "We played well on defence," said a pleased Strickland. "Were getting better at team defence, were getting better at trapping the post ... Were trying to have teams cater to us, instead of us cater to them. Despite an announced crowd of just 1,123 in a facility that holds nearly 6,000, the building was buzzing with support for the home side most of the night. For Oshawa local Steve Butterworth curiosity brought him down to the game and he was one of the many who liked what he saw. "I thought I would give it a shot," he said. "There is no NBA this year, so I thought it was a great chance to see some pro basketball and, you know, see what the Power has to offer. "You see the potential there. The tickets are very reasonable and you dont have to go into Toronto to see pro basketball. Talent-wise, I can only see it getting better." Many fans lined the courtside seats, both on the baseline and sidelines, where the so-called best seats in the house -- or "Jack Nicholson" seats as the Power has dubbed them -- are located. James Milner Liverpool Jersey. Those tickets can be picked up for $80, though much more affordable seats are available, ranging from $12 to $70. Rowan Barrett, a longtime staple within the Canadian mens national team program, was also among the crowd to take in the opener. The Power debuted at the GM Centre five years to the day that the building opened with an Oshawa Generals Ontario Hockey League game. Strickland matched the crowds enthusiasm Thursday night. He joined a group of three youngsters to participate in a mock slam dunk contest between the first and second quarters. Strickland was as lively as anyone involved the game, stepping and jumping up and down the sidelines, barking orders at his crew. He didnt quit all night, continuing his banter through the final buzzer. "Man, if I bring it, theyre going to bring it. I have to," Strickland, an NBA veteran of nine seasons, said with a laugh after the game as fans mingled with Power players. "Its a mental game. If youre up 20, you should go up 40." Elsewhere around the NBL on Thursday, the Summerside Storm dropped the Quebec Kebs 120-105 and the London Lightning won its home opener, 118-110 over the Halifax Rainmen. The NBL was formed when three existing teams -- Halifax, the Saint John Mill Rats and Quebec -- left the Premier Basketball League. Four NBL franchises were then formed in London, Oshawa, Moncton, N.B., and Summerside, P.E.I. Each team will play a 36-game schedule, with the top four advancing to the playoffs in March. NFL Jerseys Cheap China Jerseys Cheap Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Jerseys NFL Cheap ' ' '

CHICAGO - The Chicago Blackhawks are trying get into a groove so they can head into the playoffs firing on all cylinders. Wholesale NFL Jerseys . Even without star forward Patrick Kane, the defending Stanley Cup champions showed signs of moving in the right direction Tuesday night. Andrew Shaw and Duncan Keith each had a goal and an assist, and Chicago held on for a 4-2 win over the Dallas Stars. "We did some good things throughout the game," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "All four lines were contributing and our special teams were good as well. Good win." Kris Versteeg and Marian Hossa also scored for Chicago, which needs just one more point to clinch a playoff berth for the sixth straight season. Patrick Sharp added two assists to help Chicago finish 4-1 against Dallas in the Central Division rivals regular-season series. "It was a big win tonight," said Keith, second in scoring among defencemen with 57 points. "Theyre a hungry team, fighting for their playoff lives." Ryan Garbutt scored twice for the Stars, who fell three points behind Phoenix for the final Western Conference playoff berth. Dallas matched Chicagos speed and effort early, but eventually the Blackhawks took over and built a 3-1 lead. Garbutts second goal cut it to 3-2 late in the third, but Hossa empty-netter sealed the Blackhawks solid effort. Chicagos Corey Crawford made 25 saves, while Dallas Kari Lehtonen blocked 38 shots. "Theyre a fast team, can really skate," Crawford said. "They got the jump early and then our D were able to shut them down really good. "They really shut down everything in the third period." Dallas Tyler Seguin set up Garbutts goal in the second period to extend his point streak to 10 games. He has seven goals and 10 assists during the run. Blackhawks top prospect Teuvo Teravainen didnt record a point in his NHL debut, but logged 11 minutes and 39 seconds of ice time. The 19-year-old forward was Chicagos first-round draft pick in 2012 and led his team in Finland, Jokerit, in scoring this season. Chicago played its third game without Kane, who is on long-term injured reserve and may miss the rest of the regular season. Dallas had several good chances early, including Garbutts breakaway just over 2 minutes in. Crawford stopped his close-in rising shot with a glove save. "We hung around the first 10 minutes and Garbutt had the breakaway," Stars coach Lindy Ruff said. "But I thought they slowly started taking it away from us. "We slowed the game down and they sped it up all the time." Chicago took charge as the period progressed, then Shaws power-play goal with 18 seconds left in the first opened the scoring. Shaw swept in a rebound of Sharps shot from the blue line with a highlight-reel effort. Shaw was knocked to the ice by Dallas defenceman Trevor Daley in the crease, but backhanded in the loose puck as he fell to his knees and while facing away from the net. Versteeg was credited with a goal at 4:12 of the second that made it 2-0. After Dallas Antoine Roussel failed to clear the puck, Versteeg slid a pass toward Hossa who was cruising in down the slot. Rousell reached with his stick to break up the pass, but deflected the pucks past Lehtonen. Garbutt didnt miss on his second breakaway of the game, and cut it to 2-1 midway through the second. He skated in behind the Blackhawks defence after Seguin banked a pass off the left boards from the Stars zone. Garbutt cut across the crease and slipped a backhander between Crawfords pads. Keith restored Chicagos two-goal lead at 3-1 with 5:45 left in the period on a fluttering screened shot from the left point. Garbutts second goal cut it to 3-2 with 5:40 left in the third. Following Nick Leddys turnover in the right corner of the Chicago zone, Garbutt carried the puck to the net. Crawford stopped his first shot, but Garbutt stuffed in the rebound from right side of the goal. "Its too bad we couldnt get the third (goal) there," Garbutt said. "Its doesnt matter if its pretty or not this time of year. "Well just take what we can get and need to start scoring more as a team." Hossa fired into an empty net with 33.3 seconds left to complete the scoring. Notes: Keith has six goals and 51 assists for his 57 points. ... The Blackhawks won 49 of 71 faceoffs on Tuesday. Captain Jonathan Toews was 23-for-28 and Teravainen was 7-for-7. Blackhawks F Bryan Bickell (upper-body) and D Michal Rozsival (lower-body) each missed their third games with injuries. ... Dallas F Erik Cole sat out his third game with an upper-body injury. ... Long-time Blackhawks beat writer Tim Sassone, who passed away Tuesday, was honoured with a moment of silence before the game. Now, Harbaugh is giving Martin a football fresh start. In a safe environment around former Stanford coaches who consider him a friend. Martin was traded from Miami to the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday night to play once more for Harbaugh, who publicly expressed his support of Martin last year and called him a "personal friend." The Dolphins announced the move late on the first day of NFL free agency. San Francisco then confirmed the trade, saying only that it would send an undisclosed draft choice to Miami and that Martin still must pass a physical to complete the deal. "Big news.... Beyond Blessed ... Opportunities are few in the NFL... Cant wait to get to work #9erEmpire," Martin posted on Twitter. The 24-year-old Martins move should be a simple one considering hes already in town — back on the Stanford campus taking classes. "This is great for him to get back on the field and hes in Palo Alto right now. It couldnt be much better," his agent, Ken Zuckerman, said in a phone interview. "I just think everyone wanted this to happen. Harbaugh knows Jonathan, I think the Dolphins were compensated and Jonathan wants to get back on the field. Its a good day." An investigation for the NFL determined last month that Dolphins guard Richie Incognito and two other offensive linemen engaged in persistent harassment of Martin, another offensive lineman and an assistant trainer. "As far as that situation, theres only one thing I can intelligently comment on and thats knowing Jonathan Martin," Harbaugh said in November. "I know him to be a fine person and his family. ... (He) epitomizes the student-athlete model and a personal friend. I support Jonathan." The trade capped a busy first day for the 49ers, who lost to the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks in the NFC championship game. Martin left the Dolphins in late October, underwent counselling for emotional issues and alleged he was harassed by teammates. Incognito wwas then suspended for the final eight games. Cheap Jerseys. "We feel that this move is in the best interests of all parties involved," Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey said. "We wish Jonathan well." After a report on the investigation was released last month, the Dolphins fired offensive line coach Jim Turner and longtime trainer Kevin ONeill. Incognito and guard John Jerry, who was also implicated in the report, became free agents Tuesday and arent expected to play for the Dolphins again. Incognito has recently received treatment in the wake of the scandal. He sent tweets in recent weeks that varied dramatically in tone, including a rant blasting Martin that quickly went viral. Martins departure from the Dolphins had been expected. Owner Stephen Ross said in January that he didnt expect Martin to play for the team again. The investigation for the NFL found a pattern of harassment on the Dolphins, with Martin the primary target of vicious taunts and racist insults that occurred almost daily. The report said teammates threatened to rape Martins sister, called him a long list of slurs and bullied him for not being "black enough." Martin is black and Incognito is white. The troubled relationship between Martin and Incognito drew national scrutiny and stirred a debate about bullying. Martin said he tried to be friends with Incognito despite their diverse backgrounds. Martin was a classics major at Stanford, while Incognito, 30, was kicked off his team at Nebraska and went on to develop a reputation as one of the NFLs dirtiest players. Martin, who protected Andrew Lucks blind side at Stanford, was a second-round draft pick by Miami in 2012. He became a starter as a rookie but struggled at times while being shuffled between right and left tackle. Last year he was part of a line that allowed a franchise-record 58 sacks. The Dolphins began revamping their line Tuesday by agreeing to terms with Pro Bowl left tackle Braden Albert. Martin has two years remaining on his contract and has a base salary of $824,933 this year. Pro Bowl centre Mike Pouncey is the only offensive lineman involved in the bullying scandal still on Miamis roster. AP Sports Writer Steven Wine in Miami contributed to this report. NFL Jerseys Cheap China Jerseys Cheap Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap JerseysJerseys NFL Cheap ' ' '

the Saints converted two more third-and-long situations

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Nike Air Max 90 2015 . -- The Minnesota Vikings have begun the week in ambiguous mode, stung by injuries and disappointed by a second straight defeat yet buoyed by the earlier-than-anticipated arrival of their rookie quarterback. The offence around Teddy Bridgewater has been depleted of several starters, but maybe the kid will be all right. Like any debuting first-round draft pick, Bridgewater brings not a boost of optimism for the team as well as an undetermined ceiling for his performance. "A lot of poise for a rookie. I mean, an incredible amount, and he can throw the ball around the field," centre John Sullivan said. "So were excited." Sullivan went even further in response to a question about the teams confidence in Bridgewater. "We should win every single game we play with him at quarterback," he said. Well, that wouldve been a tall task, obviously, even at full strength. Bridgewaters first NFL start this Sunday against Atlanta, with Matt Cassel sidelined for a while because of broken bones in his left foot, will have the benefit of being at home. He will likely, however, be without the No. 1 running back, No. 1 tight end, No. 3 wide receiver and starting right guard the Vikings expected to have at this point in the season. "You never plan on having this many injuries as you have, but were not going to make excuses about it," coach Mike Zimmer said Monday. Running back Adrian Peterson remains out indefinitely, of course, with the charge of child abuse pending against him in Texas. This was going to be the week that wide receiver Jerome Simpson returned from a three-game suspension, but the Vikings released him Thursday after news broke of more off-the-field trouble. Then Sunday in New Orleans, the Vikings lost more than just by the 20-9 margin. Five key players had to leave the game because they were hurt: -- Tight end Kyle Rudolph aggravated an abdominal injury that had been bothering him since early in the preseason. Rudolph was scheduled to fly to Philadelphia on Tuesday morning to have surgery by Dr. William Meyers, a noted specialist in dealing with sports hernias. Rudolph is expected to miss about six weeks but wanted to have surgery as soon as possible to try and return in time for the second half of the season. Rudolph signed a five-year contract extension in July and was poised for a breakout season under new offensive co-ordinator Norv Turner. "Ive always tried to demonstrate that these times can define you as a person. This latest setback will be no different," Rudolph tweeted. "I will prove that my determination and dedication to this team, city, and most importantly, our fans, will carry me back to where I belong." -- Cassel will see a specialist Thursday before a timetable for his recovery is determined. Zimmer said signing another quarterback, and tight end, was under consideration. -- Right guard Brandon Fusco hurt his pectoral muscle, in the chest area, and was slated for a second medical opinion. -- Nickel cornerback Josh Robinson hurt his right hamstring, the muscle that limited him for much of training camp. -- Linebacker Chad Greenway, who also played against the Saints with a broken left hand, aggravated a rib injury he was already dealing with last week. Asked whether Greenway could play through that against the Falcons, Zimmer said, "Not like he did this week." Elaborating, Zimmer second-guessed himself for allowing Greenway to play after being in too much pain to practice during the week. "He had a hard game yesterday. Its my fault," Zimmer said. The defence played well for much of the afternoon but had a rough start and a costly stretch late in the game with the Saints clinging to a 13-9 lead. Captain Munnerlyns wrestling-style takedown of Drew Brees for third-down sack drew an unnecessary roughness penalty, and the Saints converted two more third-and-long situations on their way to the insurance touchdown. "It was a bad call. The referee, he never blew the whistle," Munnerlyn said, vowing to appeal a fine. He added: "I feel like it changed the game for my team. So Ive just got to learn from it and try not to make that mistake again." On offence, the Peterson-less ground game has been punchless. Protection by the offensive line, particularly left tackle Matt Kalil, has become an increasing concern. "He allows one play to affect the second play sometimes," Zimmer said, adding: "Its like a golfer when he misses a putt and then he goes up on the tee box and has a bad drive. Were all going to have bad plays. He has enough athletic ability and physical skills and mental toughness. He has all those things. Now, he cant compound it by making another mistake." Nike Air Max 90 Mid NO SEW Donna correre Scarpe . also accomplished the feat

Landover, MD (SportsNetwork. Nike Air Max 90 Outlet .com) - Kai Forbath kicked a 26-yard field goal with five seconds remaining to lift the Washington Redskins to a 27-24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday. The Redskins snapped a six-game losing streak and dealt a significant blow to the Eagles playoff hopes. Philadelphia has lost three straight games since a Thanksgiving win at Dallas gave it sole possession of first place in the NFC East. A win at home by the Cowboys against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday will eliminate the Eagles from postseason contention. The Eagles (9-6) have been prone to turning the ball over this season and cornerback Bashaud Breeland intercepted Mark Sanchezs pass at the Washington 42-yard inside the two-minute warning. Robert Griffin III then threw a short pass to Pierre Garcon, who spun out of a defenders grasp for a 23-yard gain. A roughing the passer penalty tacked on 15 more yards and the Redskins added one more first down, forcing Philadelphia to use each of its three timeouts before Forbath nailed the go-ahead kick. The Eagles, who had erased a 24-14 deficit, were still alive with three seconds remaining because Forbath drilled Trey Burton with the kickoff at midfield. Cornerback David Amerson knocked down Sanchezs pass in the end zone to end the game. Griffin completed 16-of-23 passes for 220 yards with one interception and Darrel Young had two 1-yard touchdown runs in the third quarter for Washington (4-11). Sanchez was 37-of-50 for 374 yards and threw two touchdown passes to Riley Cooper. Tight end Zach Ertz set an Eagles franchise record with 15 catches for a career-high 115 yards. A rough third quarter actually began favorably for the Eagles, who started in the red zone after Andre Roberts fumbled the opening kickoff of the second half. Philadelphia failed to capitalize on the turnover when Cody Parkey missed a 34-yard field goal wide right. Washington benefited from a pair of roughing the passer penalties on their next drive. The second infraction set up the first of Youngs two short touchdown runs on 1st-and-goal. The normally reliable Parkey then missed a 46-yard try wide right after LeSean McCoy was wrapped up for no gain on 3rd-and-1 at the Washington 28. The rookie had missed only two attempts (29-of-31) through the first 14 games. On the ensuing Washington drive, former Eagle DeSean Jackson caught a 55-yard pass, beating cornerback Bradley Fletcher on the play, and drew a pass interference penalty in the end zone. Young scored to give the Redskins a 24-14 lead with 26 seconds left in the third. The Eagles rallied as Sanchez found Cooper for a 16-yard touchdown and Parkey made a 22-yard field goal following a Griffin interception. Philadelphia coughed the ball up on the games opening drive. Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan forced a Sanchez fumble on a sack and made the recovery at the Philadelphia 47-yard line. Forbath kicked a 25-yard field goal to give Washington a 3-0 lead. The Redskins defense then made a stop, but Breeland was charged with an illegal use of hands penalty to extend the drive. Instead of a three-and-out, the Eagles marched 79 yards in 10 plays. McCoy ran around the right end for an 11-yard touchdown. The Redskins regained the lead with a quick response. Jackson beat Fletcher for a 51-yard grab. The catch put Jackson over the 1,000-yard mark for the season. Alfred Morris rumbled 28 yards for a touchdown on the next play to make it 10-7 with 19 seconds left in the first quarter. The Eagles moved back in front with a 15-play, 93-yard drive in the second quarter. Sanchez converted a 3rd-and-25 with a 26-yard pass to Jordan Matthews and later hit Cooper on a 3-yard slant for a touchdown. Philadelphia looked to add to its lead before halftime, but punted after reaching the Washington 40. Game Notes Philadelphia leads the league with 35 turnovers ... Morris rushed for 83 yards on 21 carries. He joined Stephen Davis (1999-2001) as the only running backs in team history to rush for 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons ... Kerrigan became the first Redskins player to record a sack in five consecutive games since Fred Stokes in 1991 ... Jackson is the fifth player to reach 1,000 receiving yards in his first season with Washington. Bobby Mitchell (1962), Henry Ellard (1994), Laveranues Coles (2003) and Santana Moss (2005) also accomplished the feat ... Parkey tied an Eagles rookie record for made field goals with 30. brief fight between Bostons Kevan Miller

INDIANAPOLIS - Mike Adams got a firsthand look at Peyton Mannings record-breaking blockbuster last season in Denver. Omar Gonzalez Jersey .Now the former Broncos safety is hoping to catch the sequel with his new teammates in Indianapolis. With Andrew Luck off to the best statistical start of his pro career, the Colts new starting safety has started detecting trends that seem to come from the same script a€” an offence that keeps the defence on the sideline, a scoreboard that resembles a video game and a quarterback that has seemingly mastered every facet of the game.It almost feels like every time a third down comes, he moves the chains and thats the key. Move the chains, move the chains and eventually you know six points are coming, so, yeah, it does kind of feel like (last year), Adams said Wednesday. It may not seem fair to compare Lucks spectacular early season numbers to a 16-game run from Manning, a run many consider the greatest season for a quarterback in league history. Manning threw for 5,477 yards and 55 touchdowns, both NFL records. But if the Colts franchise quarterback stays healthy and keeps playing this efficiently, Luck could work his way into the conversation.Mannings successor in Indy has never played better a€” and the numbers prove it.He has completed 60 of 80 passes for 763 yards with eight touchdowns and only one interception over the past two games, and hes only been sacked twice in the past three weeks.Instead of having to engineer late rallies, hes led the Colts (2-2) to back-to-back blowouts against division rivals. And the 25-year-old Luck leads the league with 1,305 yards and 13 touchdowns and has led the Colts to an NFL-best 136 points. At this rate, the Colts franchise quarterback may not only break Mannings single-season franchise records for completions, yards passing and touchdowns in fewer attempts, he would become the first player in Colts history to throw for more than 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns.Coach Chuck Pagano was so impressed with Lucks 393-yard, four-touchdown performance Sunday, he even compared the current two-game run to Michael Jordan being in a zone in his prime. Hes not alone.Wow! Fifty-two touchdowns, wow! Thats my man, Adams said when told of Lucks current pace. Im rooting for him.Luck would rather focus on film study rather than the rave reviews, and he insists the biggest reason for this surge is actually his teammates.Receivers Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton are both ranked among the AFCs top 10 in receptions. Running back Ahmad Bradshaw already has a career-high four touchdown receptions.Dwayne Allens three TD catches are third among NFL tight ends, and an offensive line that was decimated by injuries during the preseason has managed to clear the way for Indianapolis to produce three straight 100-yard rushing games and set a club record for most total yards over a two-game span (1,027).Lucks goal is simple: Keep the momentum.I think if you can get that ball rolling and not relax, not take your foot off the pedal in a sense, you hopefully can corral some of that momentum and keep it going, he said.Indy may not need to make any major revisions Sunday against Baltimore (3-1).While the Ravens usually stout defence is allowing 15.0 points, the pass defence has been suspect. Opposing quarterbacks have completed 64.2 per cent of their passes, thrown one interception and been sacked only four times. And now Baltimore is up against one of the NFLs hottest quarterbacks in a city where it has never won.Indy expected Luck to emerge as the best young quarterback in the league when it drafted him with the No. 1 overall pick in 2012.He hasnt disappointed. As a rookie, Luck engineered one of the greatest one-season turnarounds in league history and leading the Colts back to the playoffs.Last year, Luck cut his interception total in half, increased his completion percentage, led the Colts to the AFC South title and directed the second-largest comeback in playoff history. This season, Luck blamed himself for a botched play call on the goal line in Denver and a late red zone interception against Philadelphia, plays that may have cost Indy two wins. But as he works out the kinks, Luck is becoming the headline star in the NFLs top offence. Its not a shock, tight end Coby Fleener said. I think this is kind of the Andrew Luck that everybody here sees on a daily basis, and now the people that follow the stats actually maybe believe it.Notes: Pagano said left guard Jack Mewhort (ankle) will be replaced in the starting lineup this week by Lance Louis, who started in place of the injured Hugh Thornton at right guard last Sunday. ... Pagano also said safety Sergio Brown will replace LaRon Landry in the lineup as Landry serves a four-game suspension for violating the leagues performance-enhancing substance policy. Pagano said he was disappointed when he found out about the suspension.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL Brad Guzan USA Jersey . Rask made 26 saves for his NHL-leading fifth shutout two nights after being knocked out early, and the Bruins got a third-period goal from Carl Soderberg to beat the San Jose Sharks 1-0 on Saturday night. "That was Bruins hockey," said Rask, who gave up three goals in less than 22 minutes in a loss at Los Angeles on Thursday. "Thats how we get points in this league. Sometimes we slip from it but today was a great example of how we need to play in order to get points. Im really happy with the effort." Rask gave up eight goals on the first two games of the trip as the Bruins were outscored 9-4 in losses at Anaheim and Los Angeles. But they rebounded in San Jose to sweep the season series and hand the Sharks just their second home loss in regulation all season. Soderberg broke the tie with 7:35 remaining at the end of a broken play when Loui Erikssons shot was blocked by Scott Hannan. Soderberg got the loose puck and knocked it past Antti Niemi for his sixth goal to salvage the finale of Bostons three-game California swing. "A goals a goal in this league," Boston coach Claude Julien said. "You get some tough ones that go against you so every once in a while its good to have some go for you. Thats the breaks of the game, and sometimes you have to make them yourself." Niemi made 21 saves for the Sharks, who had their six-game home winning streak snapped and were shut out at home for the first time since Feb. 9, 2013, in a shootout loss to Phoenix. "Both teams werent giving up too much," captain Joe Thornton said. "One shot in the third period made all the difference. Both goalies did an excellent job. When you do get a good chance they were there to block it." Niemi kept the Sharks in the game shortly after Soderbergs goal when he made a strong stop on a backhand by Brad Marchand but the Sharks couldnt get anything past Rask on 26 shots. The game featured a pair of goalies who will be teammates for Finland at the Olympics next month. Rask and Niemi botth made a case for the starting gig by stopping 47 of the 48 shots. Kyle Beckerman USA Jersey. "I dont think either one had to be really unbelievable," Rask said. "Both teams played tight defence and we just scored that one goal that have us the win. It wasnt about showing off." Neither goalie faced too many good scoring chances in a tight opening two periods that featured one power-play chance for each side and a brief fight between Bostons Kevan Miller and San Joses Mike Brown. The Sharks looked disjointed on their power-play chance in the first period with Soderberg off for boarding, getting only one shot on goal during the man advantage. San Joses best two chances in the opening two periods came from Joe Pavelski, who was stopped by Rask on a redirection in the first period and then again midway through the second right in front of the net following a good pass from Thornton. The Bruins came the closest to scoring in the first two periods on their power play with Scott Hannan off for holding. Patrice Bergeron got the puck in front and slid a shot past Niemi that hit the post. The Bruins ended the second on the power play when Patrick Marleau was called for high-sticking with 1 second remaining in the period. But Boston couldnt convert on that chance or another one early in the third when Jason Demers got called for holding. The Bruins fell to 0-for-13 on the power play in their last five games. "It was tight from the very beginning all the way to the end," Sharks coach Todd McLellan said. "There was playoff-type checking. The top two lines neutralized each other and it came down to puck luck and the bounce went to their skate. Theres nothing to hang our heads over." NOTES: Bruins D Johnny Boychuk flew home for personal reasons. ... Boston F Shawn Thornton returned from a 15-game suspension for slew-footing Pittsburghs Brooks Orpik to the ice and punching him twice. Thornton was retaliating for a hit on Eriksson, who also returned Saturday after missing 15 games from a concussion in that game. ... He appeared in 34 games for Milwaukee this season, averaging 11.0 points and 4.6 rebounds. He has career averages of 15.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. In a statement emailed to The Associated Press on Wednesday by his agent, Phil Williams, Hargrove said he hoped the NFL would not discuss the signed declaration publicly. "Call me naive, but I did not expect them to publicize the fact that I had sent them the Declaration. But since they did, and because they grossly mischaracterized my words, it obviously became a hot item and subsequently was leaked by someone," Hargroves statement said. Hargroves declaration explains how ex-Saints defensive co-ordinator Gregg Williams and current assistant head coach Joe Vitt instructed him to deny the existence of a bounty program in New Orleans when he was interviewed by NFL investigators in March of 2010. Hargrove acknowledges that he acted on Williams and Vitts instructions to "play dumb" if askked whether he was aware of bounties being placed on former Minnesota quarterback Brett Favre or any other player. wholesale jerseys free shipping. . The declaration does not go into specifics, however, about just what Hargrove knew or did not know about the bounty program in New Orleans, and for that reason it has become a point of contention between the NFL and the NFL Players Association. From the unions perspective, Hargroves statement does not say that he lied to anyone, nor does it state that he or any other Saints participated in a bounty program that offered cash bonuses for hits that injured targeted opponents. The NFL, by contrast, has said that Hargroves words acknowledge the existence of a bounty program and show that Hargrove initially lied to NFL investigators about it. "The intent of the Declaration was to let the NFL know exactly what happened in March of 2010," said Hargroves latest statement, which he also sent to ESPN. "I do not know who leaked it, but I would have preferred for it to remain private between the NFL and me." Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Cheap MLS Soccer Jerseys ' ' '

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- Determined to end a two-year title drought, Lee Westwood shot a 7-under 65 Thursday to take the lead at storm-affected Malaysian Open. Javier Mascherano Jersey . Westwood had a bogey at his first hole but birdied four of his closing five to take a one-shot lead ahead of Nicolas Colsaerts of Belgium before play was suspended because of the risk of lightning. A tropical downpour in the afternoon had previously halted play for more than an hour, and 45 players in the 156-man field will have to complete their first round on Friday. The 36th-ranked Westwood is coming off a seventh-place finish at the Masters last weekend -- his best so far this year -- and is looking to repeat his Malaysian Open victory from 1997. "I didnt make the best of starts bogeying ... the first hole, but fortunately that didnt set the tone," Westwood said. "I hit it really well and hit it close a lot. I had to be patient because I was hitting good putts and they werent going in (until) I holed one from about eight feet on my 16th." Colsaerts recovered from a neck injury that forced him out of the Houston Open earlier this month and carded a 66. Northern Irelands Michael Hoey and Portugals Ricardo Santos were a stroke further back in the co-sanctioned European and Asian Tour event. Colsaerts, a former Ryder Cup player who has slipped to 131st in the world, had eight birdies and two bogeys in his round. "Ive felt Ive played pretty well since early in the season, but theres always been a stretch of holes where Ive shot myself in the foot for some reason," Colsaerts said.
