The 32-year-old Williams won the French Open and U.S. Open in 2013 to end the year No. 1 in the WTA rankings for the first time since 2009. American twins Bob and Mike Bryan were named mens doubles world champions for the 10th time in 11 years, while Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci of Italy took the womens doubles award. Adidas Superstar 2 Aanbieding . -- The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms with former St. Adidas Sneakers Dames . PAUL, Minn.New York Rangers 4 Winnipeg Jets 2 (Jets 30-29-9, home 15-14-6) – The loss drops the Jets to six points back of the Dallas Stars, after Dallas picked up a single point in a shootout loss to Calgary. The Stars were up 3-1 in the third. Stars and Jets will meet at the MTS Centre Sunday night (TSN Jets, TSN 1290) in what is a must win for the Jets. The Jets and Stars will meet in Dallas later this month, the Stars have two games in hand. For the Jets its six straight without a win, five straight at home without a win. The Jets lost Ondrej Pavelec with a lower body injury after the first period and lost Chris Thorburn early in the second with a lower body injury after he blocked a shot. The Rangers opened the scoring at 1:15, Carl Hagelin deflecting a shot past Pavelec. The goal came off a face off following a very debatable icing call against the Jets. But the Jets got that one back 1:18 later, Dustin Byfuglien batting home a rebound for his 17th of the year and fourth in the last four games. Blake Wheeler and Toby Enstrom drew assists. 53 seconds later the Jets took the lead with Andrew Ladd beating Henrik Lundqvist with a wrist shot for his second in as many games and 19th of the year. Ladd has now scored five goals in the last seven games. The goal gives him a team leading 65 since the team relocated to Winnipeg. Assists went to Bryan Little and Michael Frolik. Little extending his point streak to four games. Chris Kreider with his 17th would tie the game at 11:28, with the Jets outshooting the Rangers 11-8. Al Montoya came out to start the second and the Jets came out strong, but despite a number of great chances could not get the go ahead goal. As the Rangers finished killing back to back penalties, Martin St. Louis came out of the penalty box and set up Hagelin for his second of the game at 19:52 of the period to give the Rangers the lead. Adidas Zx 700 Dames Sale. The Rangers are 21-1-1 when leading after two. Shots in the second were 11-7 Jets. The Jets had to kill a penalty early in the third but then again applied pressure on the Rangers. Lundqvist was terrific in picking up his 301st win, tying Mike Richter for the franchise lead. Hagelins first NHL hat-trick made it a 4-2 game and the Rangers locked it down after that. Shots in the third were 10-8 Jets and 32-23 Jets over the game. Jacob Trouba led the Jets in ice time for the 12th time this season at 23:42, Wheeler had six shots on goal, Evander Kane five, but both saw their goalless streaks go to seven for Wheeler and eleven for Kane. Jim Slater was the best face-off man winning 10 of 15. The penalty kill was four for four, the power play zero for four. "We need more out of our power play," said Captain Ladd post-game. "But the guys in here have not given up." Coach Paul Maurice also felt the struggling power play was a key part of the game. "Its tough. We had a lot of pressure before they scored their second and their third. And then the 3-2 goal clearly changed how we moved the puck and how we moved some things around – an important piece to the game. It was tough." In many parts of the game the Jets have been better in the past six games than in a lot of the games they won after the coaching change. It was a frustrated dressing room post game. "There should be frustration. We had too many good looks, too many blocked shots." Six points out with teams in between puts the Jets in a difficult spot (14 games remain), with sweeping the home and home with Dallas now a must, and clean wins to boot, no overtime. The chase resumes Sunday against the Stars (TSN Jets, TSN 1290) with the season on the line. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' '

And theres plenty of promise in Enes Kanter

SALT LAKE CITY -- Tyrone Corbin oversaw Utahs transition from Jerry Sloan and Deron Williams to a youth movement, one he wont get to see to fruition. Aramis Ramirez Authentic Jersey . The Jazz are in the market for a new coach after deciding not to offer Corbin a new contract Monday. Corbin went 112-146 in three-plus seasons in Salt Lake City. He took over on Feb. 10, 2011, following the resignation of Sloan, for whom he played three seasons and served as a longtime assistant. Corbin reached the playoffs in the strike-shortened 2011-12 season, but his team was swept by San Antonio in the first round of the playoffs. The Jazz went 43-39 the next season and dumped a number of veterans. This year, they went 25-57, the worst season by the Jazz since 1979-80, when Utah was 24-58 following the franchises relocation from New Orleans. Still, it wasnt easy to cut ties with a classy man who steered the franchise through the difficult stretch and whos worked for the organization for more than a dozen years. "Tys a man of dignity, class, integrity and well do nothing now in this press conference or moving forward that will disparage him or his coaches in any way," Jazz general manager Dennis Lindsey said. "Today, were grateful for a period that they saw us through and following coach Sloan in many ways ... is like following John Wooden." Lindsey said he doesnt have a short list of preferred coaching candidates nor does he have a deadline for hiring Corbins replacement. Corbin was the seventh coach in franchise history. He served as an assistant under Sloan from 2004-11. He also played for nine teams during a 16-year NBA career, including three seasons with the Jazz from 1991-94. Lindsey left open the possibility of Corbin returning to the organization in some capacity. "I dont want to speak for Ty and understand his range of emotions, from disappointment to anger to everything in between, but (hes) a good man who was a very good player, very good assistant that led us well through a tough three-plus years where there was significant change of personnel," Lindsey said. "So, I wouldnt rule anything out, just because hes that high of character. "And Ill say this, as well: I think Ty is ... going to be a better coach or is potentially going to be a better head coach for his experience, and it wouldnt surprise me at all to see him land on his feet to be a head coach and to do very well going forward. If that doesnt happen and he were to want to come back in some fashion, I dont think theres anybody within the organization that would prevent that." Owner and CEO Greg Miller said in a statement that Corbin "has always represented the Jazz franchise in a first-class manner both on the court and in the community. He did a wonderful job of building relationships with the players and encouraged their growth throughout the season." After jettisoning veteran salaries last summer, the Jazz started 1-14 amid injury woes, but improved as the season progressed. Rookie point guard Trey Burke started the season on the bench with a broken finger, pressed through a shooting slump and ended with a season-high 32 points in the final game. He averaged 12.8 points and 5.7 assists. Despite the losses, the team never splintered. Players pointed to Corbins positivity and the veteran influence of Marvin Williams and Richard Jefferson, who resurrected his career, shooting 41 per cent from 3-point range and scoring 10.1 points after rarely playing at Golden State last year. A lottery pick, another first-round choice and sizeable salary cap flexibility will benefit the Jazz and Corbins successor this off-season. And theres plenty of promise in Enes Kanter, Derrick Favours and Alec Burks. The two big men improved in all statistical areas. Burks became a go-to scorer and ended up as the second-leading scorer despite playing as a reserve most of the season. Martin Maldonado Authentic Jersey . -- The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms with former St. Scooter Gennett Authentic Jersey . The 58-minute victory marks the fourth mixed title for the 41-year-old Nestor and second for his team in the last three grand slams. He and Mladenovic won the Wimbledon title last summer after finishing runner-up at the French Open eight months ago. "Weve been playing our best tennis here," said Nestor. "Its great to win this title. "I have what I believe is the best partner in mixed. Kristina helps me out and I have to cover less of the court -- thats good at my age." Nestor now owns three Melbourne mixed titles, winning with Elena Likhovtseva in 2007 and repeating three yeears ago with Slovenian Katerina Srebotnik. Aramis Ramirez Jersey. Nestor and Mladenovic beat Mirza and Tecau at Wimbledon last summer on the way to their title together. Nestors team beat the sixth seeds with five aces 14 winners, 24 unforced errors and four breaks of serve. Mladenovic converted on a third match point as she sent a passing shot past Tecau to take the victory. "Australias a great place to be at this time of year," Nestor said of a match played in 26 Celsius summer conditions, "Its certainly a bit colder in Canada. "Leaving home at around Christmas time is always a blessing." Nestor was accompanied on his trip by his family, which had to return home this week for school. The Canadian will travel to Tokyo for next weeks Davis Cup tie with Japan. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' '

the teams left the court at halftime

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. Custom Diamondbacks Jersey . -- The Detroit Pistons havent totally clicked yet after an off-season makeover, yet their new-look roster has shown a lot more potential than Milwaukees. Brandon Jennings made four consecutive 3-pointers in the first quarter against his former team, and the Pistons overwhelmed the struggling Bucks with a dazzling first half in a 113-94 victory Monday night. Jennings was traded from Milwaukee to Detroit last off-season after four seasons with the Bucks. "At this point in my career, every game gets me geeked up," Jennings said. "Ive got a lot of chip on my shoulder right now, so Im just trying to prove that I can come over here and lead this team to the playoffs." Jennings hadnt been shooting well for the Pistons, but that changed right away Monday, when he led Detroit on a 21-0 run toward the end of the first quarter. The Pistons led 38-18 after one and by as many as 34 in the third. Jennings finished with 15 points and 13 assists. Brandon Knight, who went from Detroit to Milwaukee in the trade, scored eight points. The Bucks have lost nine straight. "Right now we are a team that is searching -- searching for an identity," Milwaukee coach Larry Drew said. "I expressed my disappointment in how we played, but the last thing I want us to do as a team is to feel sorry for ourselves." Khris Middleton, also sent from the Pistons to the Bucks in that deal, had 14 points. John Henson led Milwaukee (2-11) with 15. The Pistons have won back-to-back games for the first time this season. Their off-season shakeup, which included the trade for Jennings and the acquisition of free agent Josh Smith, hasnt paid dividends yet, but this game was a blowout almost from the start. Detroit (6-8) could gain ground quickly in an Eastern Conference that is full of struggling teams. "We have a lot of talent. Weve just got to put the chemistry together," Jennings said. "The East is real shaky. Weve got a chance to really put some wins in now that were at home." This win was the start of a four-game homestand for Detroit. "We needed it," coach Maurice Cheeks said. "We dont want to keep winning one game and losing two games, one game. We never can get any rhythm like that." Drew called a timeout 84 seconds into the game, with his team down 8-2. Detroit led 17-14 before its decisive run, which included three 3-pointers by Jennings in a span of 1:19. Detroits Charlie Villanueva, who had scored only 10 points all season, matched that total in the second quarter. He made a couple of 3-pointers and had a breakaway dunk after one of Milwaukees 15 first-half turnovers. It was 65-34 at halftime. Villanueva finished with 12 points, one of seven Pistons in double figures. Rodney Stuckey led Detroit with 17 points. Knight turned the ball over six times. "It wasnt a good experience just because my team struggled," Knight said. "I want my team to do well, so Im just trying to focus on that and getting to playing the way I need to play." One of the Pistons strengths has been the offensive rebounding of Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond, but they didnt need much of that Monday because they werent missing many shots to begin with. The third quarter began with a free throw -- Milwaukees O.J. Mayo had been whistled for a technical foul as the teams left the court at halftime -- and the game quickly became tedious after that. The Pistons and Bucks combined to shoot 26 free throws in the third, but Milwaukee never cut into the lead in any meaningful way. The Bucks losing streak equals their longest since they dropped 15 in a row in 1996, according to STATS. The last time Milwaukee lost nine straight was in 2008 -- and that skid spanned the end of one season and the beginning of another. NOTES: Carlos Delfino (right foot) and Larry Sanders (right thumb) were out for Milwaukee. The Pistons were missing Chauncey Billups (knee tendinitis). ... The Bucks finished with 20 turnovers, leading to 26 Detroit points. Martin Prado Authentic Jersey . Salamida, 29, has played the last four seasons with the Goldeyes. T.J. Brodie scored at 2:26 of the extra session to lead Flames to a 5-4 win over the slumping Blackhawks, whose overtime record fell to 0-6 this season. STRASBOURG, France -- Third-seeded Kirsten Flipkens of Belgium and fifth-seeded Elena Vesnina of Russia both lost in the first round of the Strasbourg International on Monday. The 96th-ranked Zarina Diyas of Kazakhstan upset Wimbledon semifinalist Flipkens 6-2, 6-7 (3), 6-3, while Casey Dellacqua of Australia stunned Vesnina 7-5, 3-6, 6-3. Dellacqua broke serve seven times as Vesnina made nine double-faults. American trio Madison Keys, Vania King and Alison Riske moved into the second round. The eighth-seeded Riske beat Teliana Pereira of Brazil 6-3, 6-3, and Keyys won the last four games to defeat Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor of Spain 7-6 (2), 6-2. Patrick Corbin Authentic Jersey. King outlasted Paula Ormaechea of Argentina 5-7, 6-2, 6-1. A semifinalist in Bogota last month, King took a 4-0 lead in the second set and won the last five games in the decider. French wild-card entry Claire Feuerstein and Ajla Tomljanovic of Croatia also won their first-round matches. Feuerstein saved 10 of 12 break points in a 6-2, 6-4 win over Sharon Fichman of Canada, while Tomljanovic hit six aces to dismiss Kristina Mladenovic of France 6-4, 6-0. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' '

according to a person with familiar with the situation

NASHVILLE -- The Tennessee Titans have kicked off their search for a new head coach by interviewing Cincinnati Bengals offensive co-ordinator Jay Gruden. Gerardo Parra Jersey . The Titans confirmed Tuesday that Gruden had finished interviewing with general manager Ruston Webster. Gruden has been the Bengals offensive co-ordinator the past three seasons as Cincinnati reached the playoffs each of those years. Gruden interviewed last season with four different teams about head coaching jobs. The Titans are one of five NFL teams still looking for a new coach after firing Mike Munchak after three seasons on Saturday. This is only the teams second coaching search since leaving Texas for Tennessee in 1997, and the first conducted by Webster. Tennessee went 7-9 this season extending a playoff drought to five straight years with the last post-season win back in January 2003. Gruden, who interviewed with Jacksonville, Philadelphia, Arizona and San Diego for head coaching jobs last season, is available to interview now because the Bengals (11-6) lost to San Diego in the wild-card round Sunday. Gruden also is due to interview Wednesday with the Washington Redskins, according to a person with familiar with the situation, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the team has not made information on the search public. He played in college at Louisville between 1985 and 1988 before winning four titles in the Arena Football League as a quarterback. He got his start in coaching in Nashville with the then-Nashville Kats in the AFL in 1997 before becoming head coach of the AFLs Orlando Predators where he won two more league titles. Gruden went to work in the NFL in 2002 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an offensive assistant working seven seasons for his brother Jon Gruden. Webster also worked for the Buccaneers during part of that time. The Titans also have asked for permission to talk to Jim Caldwell, the Ravens offensive co-ordinator and former Indianapolis head coach, according to John Wooten. The chairman of the Fritz Pollard Alliance said Caldwell is expected to interview with Tennessee later this week. Other candidates reportedly include Bengals defensive co-ordinator Mike Zimmer and Dallas special teams coach Rich Bisaccia. Chargers offensive co-ordinator Ken Whisenhunt and Seahawks defensive co-ordinator Dan Quinn also are expected to be candidates but cannot interview while their teams remain in the playoffs. Aaron Hill Jersey . I pulled a rookie move

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. Brian Leonhardt Raiders Jersey . -- The finish wasnt what Jimmy Walker wanted. The result is what hes come to expect. Walker led by as many as six shots Sunday in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, only for it to be decided by his final putt. He ran his birdie attempt 5 feet by the hole, and had to make that for par to close with a 2-over 74 and a one-shot win over Dustin Johnson and Jim Renner. "Its drama, man," Walker said on the 18th green. "It was too much for me." But it was a familiar outcome for Walker, a 35-year-old Texan who only four months ago was regarded as one of the best players to have never won on the PGA Tour. This was his third win of the PGA Tour season, a streak that began in October about an hour away at the Frys.com Open. Walker joined some exclusive company. He is only the fourth player in the last 20 years to win three times in his first eight starts to a season. The others are Tiger Woods (who has done it eight times), Phil Mickelson and David Duval. For a brief moment, it looked as though Walker might have a chance to join Greg Norman and Sergio Garcia as players to lose a six-shot lead in the final round. He was never seriously challenged until Johnson, and then Renner, put together a strong finish. Johnson, a two-time winner at Pebble Beach, closed with a 66 on a card that included three bogeys. Renner, who had yet to make a cut all year, made five birdies on the back nine for a 67. Walker made a 10-foot birdie on the 11th hole and was seemingly on his way. But he hit a poor chip on the par-3 12th for a bogey. He three-putted the 13th for a bogey. He settled down for three simple pars and was two shots clear with two to play. Walker three-putted the 17th, missing a 3 1/2-foot par putt. He tried to play it safe on the 18th with an iron off the tee that found the right rough. From 25 feet above the hole, he hit the birdie putt too hard and had one anxious moment. "I hate three-putting," Walker said. "I had two of them back there, and definitely didnt want another one on the last." Walker finished on 11-under 277 and earned $1.188 million, expanding his lead in the Ryder Cup standings to more than $1 million over Mickelson in second place. The Ryder Cup is based on PGA Tour earnings, though there are still four majors (which count double), three World Golf Championships and The Players Championship remaining. For now, the stars are aligned for Walker better than anything he sees through his high-powered telescope. "I just go out and play golf," Walker said. "This is what I want to do and Ive worked really hard to do it, to be here, and to be in this position and its really cool." Jordan Spieth had to return Sunday morning to complete his third round, which ended with his sixth three-putt of the round for a 78. He faced Pebble at its most vicious throughout the third round, though he bounced back with a bogey-free 67 to at least tie for fourth with Kevin Na (69). And he hasnt lost his sense of humour. "Yesterday was a day where you want to play Pebble Beach in that weather once in your life," Spieth said. "You just dont want it be Saturday when youre in the lead." Chalk it up to another learning experience for Spieth, who said his 36 putts were more a product of not having the speed than the less-than-smooth quality. "I felt like I needed birdies when I didnt," he said. Another strong finish belonged to Graeme McDowell, returning to Pebble for the first time since his U.S. Open title in 2010. He closed with a 67, happy with a week in which he would have settled for just knocking some rust off his game before heading to Riviera next week. Outside of Walker, however, the big winner was Renner. He was among the Web.com Tour graduates who played poorly in the four "finals" event that determine priority ranking, and struggled to get into tournaments. In his fifth start, he not only made his first cut, Renner earned a spot at Riviera next week and will be in better position to get into events over the next couple of months. "It was pretty big," Renner said. "I just knew I needed a good week. My back was up against the wall, and thats something Im familiar with and I dont mind it. But Im happy that I freed myself up a little bit for the rest of the year." DIVOTS: Jim Renner and John Harkey Jr., the CEO of Consolidated Restaurant Operations, Inc., won the pro-am portion of the tournament. ... Tim Wilkinson, playing in the final group with Jimmy Walker, closed with a 73 and tied for seventh. That gets him into the Northern Trust Open next week at Riviera. ... Walker was the fourth Pebble Beach winner since 1994 to shoot 74 in the final round -- Johnny Miller in 1994, Dustin Johnson in 2010, and Graeme McDowell in the 2010 U.S. Open. Willie Brown Raiders Jersey . -- Amid stories about Jeremy Lin and the upcoming all-star game, the Detroit Pistons have quietly become one of the hottest teams in the NBA. Jeron Mastrud Jersey . Coverage kicks off from Philadelphia on Thursday as Hustler and Lawless tee up the action with a preview show. First round coverage starts on Friday at 3pm ct, as Hustler and Lawlesss and the Illegal Curve Hockey Show are live from the draft floor and continues on Saturday of rounds two through seven at 9am ct.WINNIPEG -- Maybe its third time lucky for linebacker Ejiro Kuale, who has bounced around a bit since he was released by the Toronto Argonauts after the 2012 season ended with their Grey Cup win. As the Winnipeg Blue Bombers opened their main training camp Sunday, Kuale is one of the newcomers brought in to bolster a sagging defence that ranked overall where the Bombers finished 2013, in the CFL cellar with a league high 585 points against. After brief stints in Montreal and Saskatchewan in 2013, Kuale is entering his fifth year in the CFL in Winnipeg, where the Bombers are now coached by former Toronto special teams co-ordinator Mike OShea. The two have a lot of good things to say about each other. "He understands what its like to be a player," says Kuale, who played special teams in Toronto when OShea was there. "He approaches the game differently from any of the coaches Ive ever been around." The Bombers are in need of a middle linebacker after star Canadian Henoc Muamba jumped to the NFL and Kuale, six-foot-two, 238 pounds, is certainly a contender. "Theres good competition at that middle linebacker spot but Kuale is, having coached him in Toronto, hes a different type of player," said OShea. "Hes very physical. Hes always in great shape and he can be a leader, that sort of emotional type of leader for guys. Hes come in and hes not let us down." For someone who will turn 31 in July, Kuale showed no ill effects Sunday from a four-and-a-half-hour practice in weather that wouldnt have been out of place in his hometown of Daytona Beach, Fla. "I feel great today although I should have brought my old cleats, my brand new cleats have my feet hurting a bit. . . I pulled a rookie move, Im a vet, I should know better." Veteran offensive lineman Glenn January liked what he saw at camp. The O-line is another place the Bombers are looking to add talent. "Everyboody thinks they look good May 31 or June 1 but I think were looking pretty good," said January, entering his eight season in the CFL and sixth with the Bombers. Otis Sistrunk Jersey. After disappointing fans with as 3-15 season in 2013, January wasnt getting too bold in his predictions. "They should be expecting a better season than last year." But he says the labour dispute between the league and players isnt getting in the way of business on the field. "Its Day 1, lets focus on football." OShea agreed, saying he sees no signs the players have anything but playing football on their minds The defence is coached this season by Gary Etcheverry, another favourite of OShea who is known for taking an unusual approach. "We have to forget everything weve learned about football and buy into what coach Etch is trying to teach us," says Kuale. Defensive back Johnny Sears says its going to be unique and the kind of defence opposing teams may have a hard time preparing to battle. "You cant get a bead on it, its different," he says. "I might not be playing the position you see me playing today... The scouting report says `This guy plays here. Next week when they see us, I might play there for the first snap, who knows the rest of the game... I think thats a good advantage for us." The first day of camp brought its share of injuries. Former Detroit Lions running back Kevin Smith was sidelined with a hamstring pull when he jumped to make a catch early in practice. Canadian wide receiver Jordan Brescacin also had a hamstring injury. Canadian linebacker Jesse Briggs was favouring an arm but OShea said they didnt have a report on what might have happened. Offensive lineman Paul Swiston wasnt on the field and is still recovering from off-season surgery, said the coach. Defensive lineman Willie Moseley is expected to return in a couple of days from a muscle strain. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' '

clear-cut scoring chances from open play.

BRUSSELS, Belgium -- Substitute Rodrigo scored a 90th-minute winner to give Benfica a thrilling 3-2 win over Anderlecht in the Champions League on Wednesday. Nike Air Max 90 Kopen . Anderlecht defender Chancel Mbemba scored a goal and conceded an own goal as the Belgian champions European campaign ended. The result means Anderlecht remains anchored to the bottom of Group C while Benfica goes level on points with Olympiakos which lost 2-1 at Paris Saint-Germain but stayed second on goal difference. Mbemba opened the scoring and then deflected a shot by Nicolas Gaitan into his own goal in the 52nd minute to give Benfica the lead after Nemjana Matic had equalized in the 34th. Massimo Bruno levelled again in the 77th minute when he turned and fired in a low shot that beat Artur at his near post. Rodrigo sealed the win for Benfica on a late break. John van den Broms Anderlecht was playing without injured playmaker Matias Suarez and suspended midfielder Sacha Kljestan, who impressed in the draw against PSG two weeks ago before being sent off. Benfica also had injury troubles, with top scorer Oscar Cardozo sidelined with a back injury. But the goals flowed at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium despite the missing stars. In a scrappy first half, both strikes came from set pieces as Anderlecht and Benfica failed to carve out clear-cut scoring chances from open play. Anderlecht finally scored its first goal at home in this Champions League campaign when Benfica failed to clear a corner in the 18th minute and the ball fell to 19-year-old centre back Mbemba, who controlled it on his chest under pressure from Benfica captain Luisao and shot under goalkeeper Artur. Benfica equalized in the 34th when Matic headed home a curling free kick from the left by Enzo Perez. After scoring his first Champions League goal in the first half, Mbemba got on the scoresheet a second time, but at the wrong end, when he deflected a shot into his own net after Nicolas Gaitan had turned sharply away from Guillaume Gillet and shot in the 52nd minute. Bruno looked to have earned Anderlecht a point in the 77th minute when a quick pass from Anthony Vanden Borre set him free behind the Benfica defence and he turned and shot past Artur from a tight angle. Mbemba came close to stealing a winner with two minutes to play, but was ruled offside after finding the net. Instead, it was left to Rodrigo to snatch the win for Benfica just minutes after coming on to replace Perez. Adidas Tech Super Sale . -- Jermaine Marshall scored eight of his 29 points in the second overtime and Jordan Bachynski blocked T. Nike Air Max 90 Heren . Down 19-0 early in the second half, the Canadian men reeled off 22 straight points to secure the win. "It showed a lot of character," said Canadian coach Geraint John. "The players at halftime were composed. Everybody was composed. We knew what we had to do and they executed. "Thats what I liked about the whole weekend. When we executed I thought we were a very very good side and we showed that we deserved to be in that top bracket. Now the hardest part is weve got to continue and move on from here." Canada stood 13th in the standings after the first three stops on the nine-event HSBC Sevens World Series. But it showed grit throughout the three-day tournament at Sam Boyd Stadium, staging one rally after another, and moved up to 11th spot. It marked the first time since 2000 and only the second time in IRB Sevens play that Canada had reached the semifinals of the top-tier Cup competition. South Africa, appearing in its third straight final, beat New Zealand 14-7 to win its second tournament. The Springboks downed the All Blacks 17-14 last time out in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The victory moved South Africa ahead of New Zealand atop the series standings. England held on to edge Australia 26-24 in the consolation Plate final and place fifth. Fiji finished ninth in thumping Kenya 35-0 in the Bowl final and the host U.S. blanked Spain 31-0 to win the Shield and finish 13th. Going into the third-place game, Samoa had gone 31-3 against Canada in past matches. And the Pacific Islanders were rampant early on as Fomai Ah Ki scored two tries to give the two-time tournament champions a 12-0 lead at the half. Reupena Levasa scored soon after the restart to extend the Samoan lead to 19-0. Then the Canadian comeback began. Conor Trainors try cut the deficit to 19-7 before captain John Moonlight bulled his way over the goal-line to make it 19-14. Mack then crossed the line in the corner only to see hiss conversion attempt hit the post, leaving it knotted at 19-19 with 30 seconds remaining.Ryan Braun Brewers Jersey. . Mack completed the comeback, slotting his drop goal through the posts after Samoa was penalized some 20 metres in front of its posts as time ran out. Mack finished with 12 points on a try, penalty and two conversions. "Once we got that roll going in the beginning of the second half, I dont think there was really any stopping us," said John. The fine Canadian showing came despite a string of injuries that kept captain Nathan Hirayama, Sean Duke, Ciaran Hearn, Mike Fuailefau, Lucas Hammond, Adam Kleeberger and Pat Parfrey out of the lineup. Canada opened the day with a 26-7 loss to New Zealand in the Cup semifinal. The semifinal against New Zealand was a tough ask for Canada. The All Blacks career record against Canada was 23-0 going into the game, with New Zealand outscoring the Canadians 726-151. Canada got a break with suspensions to New Zealands George Tilsley (one match) and Sam Dickson (eight) for foul play in its last pool match against Fiji. The underdog Canadians opened the scoring against New Zealand with a converted Mack try after an attack by Moonlight. But the All Blacks, capitalizing on Canadian defensive mistakes, responded with a try by Scott Curry before Bryce Heem scored on the stroke of halftime for a 2-7 lead. New Zealand continued to dominate possession in the second half and the Canadians found themselves on the back foot after Australian referee Matt OBrien called a string of penalties at the breakdown. Tim Mikkelson and Heem added New Zealand tries to make the final score 26-7, with Gillies Kaka adding three conversions. "Theyre a good team," New Zealand coach Gordon Tietjens said of Canada. "A tough semifinal." On Saturday, Canada rallied from 14-0 down to beat France 17-14 in the Cup quarter-final after recovering from a 12-0 deficit to defeat Wales 21-19. On Friday, Canada downed Kenya 17-15 and lost to South Africa 29-0. LOS ANGELES -- Coming off a resounding victory over the Lakers in which they posted the largest winning margin in franchise history, the Los Angeles Clippers had to fight to the bitter end against the Atlanta Hawks after squandering an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter. Tony Dorsett Jersey . Blake Griffin had 27 points and eight rebounds, Chris Paul added 19 points -- including a go-ahead layup in the final minute -- and the Clippers beat the Hawks 109-108 on Saturday night for their season-high seventh straight win. "In the locker room, I almost felt like we lost the game, because we expect a lot from themselves," Paul said. "But the name of the game is winning. So obviously, were happy we won. But theres a lot of things we need to clean up." The Pacific Division leaders got 13 points and 12 rebounds from DeAndre Jordan, and 17 points from Matt Barnes on the eve of his 34th birthday. The Clippers shot 53.2 per cent from the field, improving to 22-1 when shooting 50 per cent or better. "The Clippers are a really dangerous team," Atlantas Kyle Korver said. "We tried to eliminate their fast-break points, and they had one little stretch in the third quarter and they had a couple of plays that were hurting us with Blake and Chris. But other than that, I think we did a pretty good job." Griffin made 11 of 19 shots while extending his career-best streak of games with 20 or more points to 22. Jamal Crawford had three points in 10 minutes off the bench after missing three games with a left calf strain. DeMarre Carroll scored 19 points in Atlantas 14th loss in 15 games and sixth in a row. The Hawks have gone from four games over .500 to 26-35 during this sudden freefall but are still eighth in the Eastern Conference, 2 1/2 games ahead of Detroit for the final playoff berth. The Clippers had lost seven of the previous nine meetings, including 107-97 defeat in Atlanta on Dec. 4. Barnes missed that game because of a torn retina in his left eye. "The first thing you do is watch the last time you played them, and that was a good basketball team that night," Clippers coach Doc Rivers said. "They were playing so well at that time, then all of a sudden they just fell on hard times. A lot of that is confidence. When you start losing, you start pressing. Theyve also made a lot of trades and (roster) moves, and I think that affects your team." The Hawks have dropped their last 10 on the road, their longest drought since losing their final 13 in 2006-07. The Hawks were 12 for 28 from 3-point range. It was the 27th time they made at least 10 from behind the arc, tying the club record they set last season. All-Star forward Paul Millsap scored 14 points in his second game back, after missing the previous five with a bruised right knee. Korver was 3 for 3 behind the arc against the team with the leagues best 3-point defence, two games after his NBA-record streak of 127 games with a 3-point basket ended at Portland. Paul began the final quarter on the bench with the Clippers holding an 88-78 advantage. Danny Granger, playing his third game for the club since signing as a free agent, hit a 16-footer and a 20-footer 33 seconds apart and Willie Green added a 3-pointer for a 98-87 lead with 8:41 to play. The Hawks closed to 102-100 with an 11-2 run capped by Korver, who recorded his seventh four-point play of the season and 12th of his career. He also had a four-point play in the previous meeting. Jeff Teagues driving layup tied it at 107 with 1:35 remaining, but Paul responded with a driving layup with 54 seconds to go. The Hawks, whose 19 turnovers were converted into 25 points by the Clippers made a costly one under their own basket with 33 seconds left. But Griffin missed two free throws, giving Atlanta another life. Teague was fouled by Jordan with 1.2 seconds left and after missing the first free throw made the second when he was trying to miss. "I just told Blake in the locker room that I think this is the worst Ive felt about a win this season," Barnes said. "This was just a nasty win, a different kind of win. But at the end of the day, it was a win. We still have a lot to work on. With my game, its more mental that anything -- cut down turnovers and play solid defence." Already playing without injured forwards J.J. Redick and Jared Dudley, the Clippers had to go the final 9:50 of the second quarter without newly acquired forward Glen Davis after Big Baby picked up his first three fouls in a 3:53 span. Davis finished with four points in 13 minutes. NOTES: Rivers played eight seasons with Atlanta and is still the Hawks career assist leader with 3,866. "Its shocking, especially because of the fact that I didnt know I still had it," said Rivers, whose final regular-season game with them was on April 21, 1991. "Mookie Blaylock didnt break that? Then its going to stand forever. Im going to talk to Danny Ferry (the Hawks GM and president of basketball operations) and every time a guy gets close, Im going to request that he get traded." J.J. Wilcox Jersey . - The Atlanta Falcons have signed former offensive lineman Gabe Carimi. Authentic Cowboys Jerseys . - Wednesdays lightweight bout between Canadian Sam (Hands of Stone) Stout and K.The Philadelphia Flyers and Columbus Blue Jackets hooked up to make a deal involving veteran wingers, both of whom have size and can score. Numbers Game looks into the trade that sends Scott Hartnell to Columbus for R.J. Umberger and a pick. The Blue Jackets Get: LW Scott Hartnell. Hartnell, 32, is coming off a season in which he scored 20 goals for the seventh time in his career and his 52 points represented the third-highest total of his career. Since joining the Flyers in 2007, hes one of eight players with at least 100 goals and 500 penalty minutes. While Hartnell does take more than his share of penalties, hes an aggravating player to play against, doesnt hesitate to go to the other teams net and has a tendency to fall, which means he also draws a lot of penalties. So long as hes healthy, Hartnell gets involved in the play. Despite his style of play, Hartnell is durable. Hes missed 23 games in seven seasons with the Flyers, including 16 games with a broken foot in 2013. Part of the reason that Hartnell has been so effective is that he has been riding shotgun alongside Claude Giroux for a good portion of the last handful of seasons. While Hartnell isnt necessarily the one driving play on that line, hes been a very good complement to Giroux and Jakub Voracek, most recently, as that trio has generated better possession numbers together than when they were apart. In Columbus, that ability to play with top talent, could give Hartnell a legitimate chance to spend time on the wing with Ryan Johansen on the Blue Jackets first line, though Boone Jenner and Nathan Horton can make some claims to those wing spots as well. Where this deal could become an issue for Columbus is that Hartnell is signed through 2019, thats five more seasons, at a cap hit of $4.75-million. Hartnell isnt the fleetest afoot already, so as he gets into his mid-thirties, that is only going to be more of an issue in a game that is getting ever faster. But, if Hartnell could fill a top six role for the next couple seasons, and a third or fourth line spot for a couple more, then maybe the last year could be tolerable when compared to what the Blue Jackets felt they could be getting out of Umberger going forward. The Flyers Get: LW R.J. Umberger and a fourth-round pick. Umberger is a 32-year-old who can play all three forward spots and is a five-time 20-goal scorer who has hit for 50 points or more three times in his career. This past season, Umbergers role was reduced, his 16:53 average time on ice reprresenting his lowest since 2006-2007, when he was playing for Philadelphia. DeMarco Murray Jersey. . While Umberger doesnt stir things up the way Hartnell does, hes still a physical player, using his 6-foot-2, 220-pound frame to his advantage and Umberger is a stronger skater. The trouble for Umberger is that hes been getting worse as a possession player. He had some okay years mixed with some bad years earlier in his career, but Umberger has been thumped in possession terms over the past three seasons and virtually every one of his teammates has fared better without Umberger on the ice. That doesnt mean Umberger cant play. It does mean he was likely playing too big a role on a Columbus team that, until 2013-2014, has been on the wrong side of the scoreboard all too often. Where does Umberger fit in Philadelphia? Well, his flexibility does help in this respect. While Umberger isnt necessarily a natural choice to play with Giroux and Voracek, playing alongside Sean Couturier and Matt Read could be a possibility. Umberger has also played enough centre that he could fit into that spot if the Flyers juggle some pieces around when composing their lines. If Umberger isnt going to play on the Flyers top line, thats a plum opening. If it is going to come from within, Wayne Simmonds, Brayden Schenn or Vincent Lecavalier could get that opportunity. Umberger is signed for three more seasons, at a cap hit of $4.6-million per season, so he doesnt provide much cap relief, aside from the fact that his deal runs a couple of years less than Hartnells. A fourth-round pick doesnt offer huge value, but of the 600 picks in the 91-120 range made between 1990 and 2009, just over 4% became top-six forwards, top-four defencemen or starting goaltenders, while just under 20% have played (or are most likely to play) 100 NHL games. Immediately, the Blue Jackets appear to be the better team for making this deal. Not that Hartnell holds a monumental advantage over Umberger, but hes been more productive and has fared positively no matter who he plays with. Umberger had requested a move out of Columbus, not appreciating his declining role, and he should have a chance to play a top nine role in an organization that he played with for the first three seasons of his NHL career but, in a vacuum, this deal makes the Flyers slightly worse. MEMPHIS, Tenn. Mark Trumbo Diamondbacks Jersey . -- Each time the Utah Jazz threatened Memphis lead, the Grizzlies responded with defensive stops. Utahs second-half effort pulled the Jazz even in the fourth before Memphis clamped down its defence and beat the Jazz 96-86 on Wednesday night. Zach Randolph scored 21 points, Marc Gasol added 20 as Memphis maintained its hold on a Western Conference playoff spot. "When we do things were supposed to, everything is easier. Its more us," Gasol said of holding off the late Utah threats. "When we start breaking down and not doing what were supposed to, things get ugly quick." Mike Conley finished with 18 points and seven assists, and Tony Allen scored 10 points. Memphis won its eighth straight home game and fifth straight game at home over the Jazz. Gordon Hayward, Trey Burke and Alec Burks each scored 16 points for Utah, while Enes Kanter had 12 points and 12 rebounds. The Jazz lost their sixth straight and 11th of their last 12. "I love the way we fought in the second half," Utah coach Tyrone Corbin said. "We gave ourselves a chance, and we fought back in the game." Memphis weathered several runs by the Jazz before six straight points in the fourth quarter provided a sufficient buffer. The Grizzlies victory, coupled with Dallas overtime loss to Minnesota, moved Memphis into the seventh playoff spot by percentage points over the Mavericks. Utah kept making runs at Memphis and finally caught the Grizzlies near the midway point of the fourth. Memphis had carried its advantage to 12 early in the period, but Utah answered with a 16-4 run to tie the game at 84 with 5:38 left. The tying basket came after Memphis fourth turnover of the quarter, leading to a breakaway by Burks. Helping the Utah run was the Jazz hitting 10 of their first 12 shots in the fourth. But Memphis got inside for its next three baskets -- by Tayshaun Prince, Randolph and Conley -- to increase the lead to 90-84, enough for the Grizzlies to secure the game. After tying the game, Utah would commit four turnovers the rest of the way and missed nine of its final 10 shots, preventing the Jazz from threatening again. "I think we kind of settled too much, tried to just get the game over with instead of going out there and playing the style that got us the lead," Conley said. "Late in the fourth quarter, we finally got that back." As poorly as the Jazz played in the first half when they trailed by as many as 18, they reversed their fortunes in the third quarter. Hayward, who converted only one of eight shots in the first half, got untracked, helping Utah go on a 16-4 rally to get the Jazz close. "We just came out in the second half and played hard," said Jazz forward Derrick Favours, who was limited to six points on 3-for-10 shooting. "Gordon Hayward got going. We were just out there playing hard. We will get one of these games sooner or later." Utah would get within 3 in the third, but Memphis responded to run the advantage back to 13 before holding a 74-63 lead heading into the final period. Hayward scored eight in the quarter, while Richard Jefferson had nine for Utah, which made 13 of 22 shots in the third. "I think the second half we played pretty good, especially in the third quarter," Kanter said. "We got a really good run and we came back." Memphis, which led 48-32 at halftime, maintained its poise as Utah pecked away at the lead. Despite tying Memphis in the fourth, Utah never led in the game. "We stepped up our game, got three stops in a row, scored three times in a row and executed most of the rest of the way," Memphis coach Dave Joerger said of holding off Utah. NOTES: The Grizzlies, who hadnt played since Saturday remained undefeated (4-0) when coming off three days rest. ... Memphis native Ian Clark, a Utah rookie out of Belmont, did not play in the game. ... Utahs only win in their last 12 was over the Philadelphia 76ers. ... Memphis reserves shot 42.9 per cent, ending a streak of 14 games where the backups shot at least 50 per cent. Trevor Cahill Diamondbacks Jersey .C. United on Saturday night and boost the Unions playoff hopes. Nick DeLeon scored in the 36th minute for United (3-23-6), which had ample opportunities to build on its lead but went its 10th straight match without a victory. Aaron Hill Diamondbacks Jersey . The team said Bryce Harper and Adam LaRoche also had operations this week. Harper had the bursa in his left knee repaired after it had hampered him last season.TORONTO -- To Dwane Caseys way of thinking, it was more than just overtime. It was an invaluable lesson. So, through much of the fourth quarter and two extra sessions Monday night, the Toronto Raptors head coach never thought of returning his starters to the floor against the New York Knicks. This is the pre-season, a time to learn about your team. And for your players to learn about themselves. The Raptors reserves got to play a starring role in a 123-120 double overtime win before 15,701 at the Air Canada Centre, improving their pre-season record to an impressive 5-1. "It was a great experience for those young kids to really play in those situations," Casey said. "In the regular season, most likely, unless something catastrophic happens, theyre not going to be out there." Second-year guard Terrence Ross led the way, hitting six of the 13 three-point shots he attempted on the night. None was bigger than a rainbow from beyond the arc as the buzzer sounded to end the first overtime period, tying the game at 113-113 and setting the stage for another five-minute session. "It prepares you for future games if you ever get in that situation, what to do, what not to do," said Ross, who finished the night as the games high scorer with 27 points. "Its always kind of nerve-wracking (in a game) no matter how many times you go over it in practice. "So, getting in that live experience it helps." The games dont count. But that doesnt mean they dont matter. Casey said because "nobodys guaranteed minutes," it was great to see the bench players battle down the stretch and eventually pick up the win. Especially after they struggled earlier in the game. "I owe it to the players to try and execute down the stretch," Casey said. Toronto power forward Tyler Hansbrough, who since signing from Indianapolis in the off-season has already become a fan favourite for his aggressive style of play, forced overtime with a dunk in the dying seconds of the fourth quarter. He took a pass at the top of the key, spun on his defender and waltzed to the basket. Gerardo Parra Jersey. . "Theyre very important minutes," Hansbrough said of the fourth quarter and overtimes. "You never know if a starter is going to go down or something and youre going to be in that situation, especially late in the game. "It was important to get some guys some experience." Among the starters, DeMar DeRozan had 21 points and seven rebounds in 29 minutes while Rudy Gay added 19 points and seven rebounds in 26 minutes. Kyle Lowry chipped in 11 points in 24 minutes. "It was entertaining to watch, especially to see the other guys get out there and get a chance to compete," said DeRozan. "It definitely helps because you have to understand every play and every situation is critical." The Raptors were an impressive 6-1 in the pre-season last year but ended up posting a 34-48 record in the games that count for something in the standings. They missed the playoffs for a fifth straight season. The Knicks took a 79-77 lead into the final quarter after Toure Murrys one-handed prayer from centre court found the mark at the buzzer. The shot restored a New York lead, which climbed as high as 13 points earlier in the quarter before Toronto went on a nice run to bring the crowd back into it. The Raptors, who host Memphis on Wednesday and finish the pre-season at Milwaukee on Friday, open the regular season on Oct. 30 when the Boston Celtics visit Air Canada Centre. The Knicks took a 60-51 lead into the locker room at halftime as Metta World Peace had eight points in eight second-quarter minutes off the bench. The former Ron Artest, who signed a two-year deal with New York after four seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, hit a pair of three-pointers in the quarter. The Knicks bench was the difference in the first half, outscoring their Raptors counterparts 30-14. The Raptors had led 30-29 after one quarter on the strength of Gays 11 points and 10 from DeRozan. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' '
