Oilers making 33 saves to improve to 4-10-1.

CALGARY -- An ugly goal for the Calgary Flames and goaltender Reto Berra was a thing of beauty for the desperate Edmonton Oilers. Willian Brazil Jersey . From near the corner and below the goal line, David Perron flung the puck towards the net, banking it off Berras shoulder and in for the go-ahead goal as Edmonton snapped a five-game losing streak Saturday night with a 4-2 come-from-behind victory over the Calgary Flames. Boyd Gordon capped the scoring into an empty net as the Oilers stormed back with four unanswered goals in the third period to steal the first of five meetings between the provincial rivals. "Id be kidding if I said I knew I would score but I saw a little bit of room, I put it there and it was in the net so it felt good," said Perron. Just over two minutes earlier, the Oilers tied the game 2-2 on another strange one. Sam Gagners shot deflected off Flames defenceman Dennis Wideman and fluttered high in the air. While Berra couldnt find it, Ales Hemsky batted it in from out of mid-air for his first goal in 12 games. Edmonton started its comeback at 3:41 when Jordan Eberle, who was uncovered in the slot, took a drop pass from Taylor Hall and ripped a shot over Berras blocker. The three-goal barrage happened in a span of 6:42 and came on four shots. "We gave them two goals out of three," said Flames coach Bob Hartley, visibly unhappy. "After 40 minutes, I felt that we gave them nothing. We were playing our style. Then, their first goal and third goal, theres only one word for those two goals - awful." Edmonton (5-15-2), which began the night in last place in the NHL, won for just the second time in its last 12 (2-9-1). Sean Monahan and Wideman scored for Calgary (6-11-3). The Flames are winless in their last six, and are 0-4-1 in their last five games at the Scotiabank Saddledome. "We have a lot of pressure on us from our team itself, from the organization, from the fans, they expect us to win and when youre not winning, it kills the confidence on your team," said Eberle. "You start making plays that youre not used to making, you start squeezing the stick and you start not playing as a team." Eberle himself had been in a lengthy slump with just one goal in his previous 12 games. "Momentum is a huge thing in this game. When things arent going, you sometimes get pissed off and try to do things yourself and thats when things start breaking down even more," said Eberle. "So when you finally get rewarded and get some confidence, were going to use that." Oilers coach Dallas Eakins says the smallest of things can turn around a teams fortunes and he hopes this result will provide that boost for his team. He used Philadelphias recent 3-0-1 run as an example. "We were in a close game with them. We end up losing the game, they had been on the down and out and it seemed like every time I look at the scoreboard lately, theyve been winning," Eakins said. "When you get that winning feeling again, its contagious. Just like when you have that losing feeling, its contagious too." The first of five meetings between the provincial rivals featured the teams ranked 13th and 14th in the Western Conference. The Flames remain three points up on Oilers, although they are 12 points back of a playoff spot. "Great start. In the first two periods, I thought we were the better team. Then, in 10 or 12 minutes, we lost the game, so thats really disappointing and nobody in this locker-room can be happy," said former Oilers defenceman Ladislav Smid. "We have to learn how to finish those kind of games. We knew they have lots of talent over there. We should have just played the same game for 60 minutes, no matter what happened." Devan Dubnyk had a great night for the Oilers making 33 saves to improve to 4-10-1. It comes on the same night that newly signed Ilya Bryzgalov picked up a win in his second AHL conditioning start, allowing only one goal in Oklahoma Citys 4-1 victory over Abbotsford. Making his sixth start in the last seven games, Berra had 19 saves to fall to 1-4-1. Calgary took a 2-0 lead at 17:08 of the second period on a rocket off the stick of Wideman. Dubnyk never saw it as he was screened on the play by Lee Stempniak. Sean Monahan gave the Flames a 1-0 lead at 12:23. It was the first goal in seven games for Calgarys 2013 first round draft pick and just his second in the last 12 after he started the season with six in his first eight. It also marked the first time Calgary held a lead after the first period in three weeks. In the previous eight games, the Flames had been outscored 11-1 in the opening 20 minutes. The game began with a throwback to the old days of the Battle of Alberta as heavyweights Brian McGrattan and Luke Gazdic squared off in a lengthy fight that fired up the crowd. Notes: Healthy scratches for Calgary were RW Tim Jackman and D Sean OBrien... LW Ryan Jones was not in the line-up for Edmonton... After several years of Calgary domination, Edmonton has won five of the last seven games between the two teams ... Flames LW TJ Galiardi hasnt scored in his last 18 games. Also slumping is D TJ Brodie, who has no points in his last eight games... For Edmonton, Nugent-Hopkins has one goal in his last 13 games. Marcelo Jersey . - The Drummondville Voltigeurs handed the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada just their second loss of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season on Thursday. Victor Jersey .C. -- Rookie guard Dennis Schroder scored on a runner with 2.It was a really fun shoot with Brooks and the boys, heres some behind the scenes content from the production. NEW YORK -- The Brooklyn Nets acquired guard Marquis Teague from Chicago for Toko Shengalia on Saturday, and also sent guard Tyshawn Taylor to New Orleans in a separate move, a person with knowledge of the deals said. Jonathan Stewart Jersey . The trades, first reported by Yahoo Sports, open up a roster spot for the Nets, who sent cash along with Taylor to the Pelicans for a future draft pick. It also gives Brooklyn another option at point guard, where Deron Williams has been sitting out with ankle problems. But Teague had appeared in just 19 games for the Bulls, even though they were in need of a point guard after Derrick Rose was lost for the season. Teague was averaging 2.4 points and shooting 24 per cent from the field. Teague was taken by Chicago with the No. 29 pick in the 2012 draft after one season at Kentucky. "Marquis is a good, young player. Hes had some good moments. Hes had some moments that he can obviously do better, but thats to be expected," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said. "When you come into this league as young as he is, thats what youre going to get. Hes much further along today than he was when he was first drafted. Hes done a good job overall." Shengalia and Taylor both spent part of the season in the NBA Development League. Star Lotulelei Womens Jersey . Jayson Werth and Denard Span had three hits each for Washington, which had lost 6 of 7. Previously slumping, Washingtons offence has 14 runs and 30 hits in its last two games. Strasburg (4-4) allowed two unearned runs, though his error led to them, and six hits. He struck out nine and walked one. It was the eighth straight start in which Strasburg has pitched at least six innings and allowed three runs or less. He improved his ERA to a season-low 3.15. Adrian Beltre had three hits for Texas, which fell to 6-3 on its 11-game road trip. Rangers starter Colby Lewis (4-4) allowed six runs, five earned, and nine hits in taking his first road loss. Strasburg had thrown 88 pitches when manager Matt Williams lifted him in the sixth for a pinch-hitter with two outs and two on. The moved paid off when Tyler Moores double to left scored both runners, increasing Washingtons lead to 6-2. The Nationals added two runs in the seventh and one in the eighth. Washington trailed 2-0 in the fourth when Werth and Adam LaRoche singled with one out. Lewis struck out Wilson Ramos, but Desmond sent a 1-0 fastball into the seats in centre field for his 10th home run. Span used his speed to make it 4-2 after he singled in the fifth. Running on the pitch, he kept going around second on Anthony Rendons grounder to third. First baseman Mitchh Morelands throw back to the third was wild and Span scored on the error. Roman Harper Jersey. Texas took the lead during a bizarre second inning. Beltre doubled leading off, but Strasburg stuck out the next two hitters and should have been out of the inning when Leonys Martin hit a slow bouncer to the mound. The ball bounced off Strasburgs glove, then his head, and fell to the ground. He still had a chance to get Martin but missed a stab at the ball. Martin was safe on the error with Beltre moving to third. Strasburg then surrendered RBI singles to the Nos. 8 and 9 hitters, Rougned Odor and Lewis. Lewis hit snapped an 0-for-23 stretch by Rangers pitchers going back to June 20, 2012. NOTES: Texas was making its second trip back to its original home city since the franchise left Washington in 1971. Texas took 2 of 3 from the Nationals in June 2008. . Rangers RH Yu Darvish, scratched from his start on Tuesday night because of neck discomfort, remains on track to pitch Sunday after throwing a side session Friday. . Nationals 3B Ryan Zimmerman (broken right thumb) began a rehab assignment Friday night with at Class A Potomac. . Williams said LHP Gio Gonzalez (left shoulder inflammation) threw a 35-pitch bullpen session Friday. He will pitch a simulated game Sunday and if all goes well, a rehab start next week. . Desmond (77) moved ahead of Adam Dunn for second on Nationals all-time home run list. Zimmerman leads with 181. . Rangers RHP Nick Tepesch (2-0, 2.95) opposes RHP Doug Fister (2-1, 3.42) on Saturday. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys ' ' '

he Flyers depth last year?

MONTREAL - A recharged Eugenie Bouchard, fresh off her stunning run to the Australian Opens final four, says shes ready to lead the Canadian team against Serbia at this weekends Federation Cup. Wayne Rooney Jersey . Bouchard, who grabbed the tennis worlds attention at last months Grand Slam, will be joined in the best-of-five series by Gabriela Dabrowski of Ottawa, Sharon Fichman of Toronto and Aleksandra Wozniak, of Blainville, Que. The 19-year-old rising tennis star said Wednesday she took time off after the Australian Open, and only worked a little bit on her serve and a few technical issues. "I was definitely physically and mentally tired," Bouchard told a news conference at Montreals Claude-Robillard Sports Complex, the site of Saturday and Sundays indoor World Group II first-round series womens tie. "Im happy with what I did, but never satisfied. I wanted to do better. At the end of the day I lost in the semifinals, so ... I hit the practice court and Im going to continue to work hard on court to try and do better." Bouchard, whose success in Melbourne moved her up to No. 19 in the world rankings, made her Fed Cup debut in 2011 and has a record of 7-2. Last year in Kyiv, Bouchard battled an injured ankle and won two matches, including the decisive doubles match alongside Fichman. That victory gave Canada a place in World Group II for the first time since 2010. Dabrowski, the countrys top-ranked female doubles player at No. 61 in the WTA computer, reached her first two WTA doubles finals in 2013 at Brussels and Linz in addition to winning two doubles titles of the ITF Challenger Circuit. The 26-year-old is 3-0 in Fed Cup play. The 23-year-old Fichman has a 22-7 career record at the Fed Cup, while Wozniak, 26, is 37-9. The Canadians will square off this weekend with a young, less-experienced Serbian team that will be missing two of its top players: Jelena Jankovic and Ana Ivanovic, a former world No. 1. Bouchard, who upset Ivanovic in the quarterfinal at the Australian Open, said Wednesday her team would have liked to meet them in the Fed Cup. "I think were all disappointed not to have the two best, Ivanovic and Jankovic, here," said Bouchard. "But now we will take advantage, we will try to do our best and I think we have all the best players in Canada here. They might not have their best, so we will use that to our advantage." Serbian team captain Dejan Vranes said Ivanovic wont play this weekend due to injury and that Jankovic no longer competes in the event. The country will be represented by Nina Stojanovic, 17, Aleksandra Krunic, 20, Jovana Jaksic, 20, and Vesna Dolonc, 24, who at No. 117 is its top-ranked player. Vranes called the Canadians the favourites, particularly since they will be playing in front of a home crowd in a venue that holds some 4,000 fans. "We have a great challenge in front of us, but I believe in our team and I think we have a chance in every match," a confident Vranes told reporters. "Well be ready to fight." The Canadian women, however, are aiming to continue Canadas recent stretch of strong tennis performances. On the mens side, Milos Raonic climbed into the top 10 in the world last year, while Vasek Pospisil also rose in the rankings. Both reached the Rogers Cup semifinals in Montreal last summer and led the Davis Cup team to a first-ever semifinal appearance. Wozniak said she hopes the women can also deliver their own record-breaking finish. "Were looking forward to the challenge, and what the men did, its made history in Canada," Wozniak said. "So, I think for me, and for the team, its important. We would love to make a new history for Canada and win this tie." For Bouchard, who grew up in the Montreal Island community of Westmount, theres the bonus of playing a match in her hometown for the first time in a year and a half. "Its always fun to play in Montreal," said Bouchard, who was asked whether more people seem to recognize her in the city since the Australian Open. "Yeah, for sure, there are people who say, Good luck and that they are proud of me. Its special. Im happy to get compliments like that." Jonny Evans Jersey . LOUIS -- The Pittsburgh Pirates have placed outfielder Starling Marte on the bereavement list and slotted Francisco Lirianos return to the rotation for Sunday, the last game before the All-Star break. Saidy Janko Jersey . -- Anna Nordqvist moved into position for her third victory of the year, shooting her second straight 6-under 66 to take the third-round lead Saturday in the Airbus LPGA Classic. With the NHL regular season right around the corner, TSN.ca profiles each team leading up to puck drop. That seems like lofty praise for a first-round exit, but the Blue Jackets fought hard and got a consistent effort throughout their line-up to earn a playoff spot in the post-season. Things started ugly as the Jackets lost 10 of their first 15 games, including a pair of five-game losing streaks. Matters didnt get much better when Sergei Bobrovsky went down in early December with a groin injury. The team sweated out some wins under Curtis McElhinney and Mike McKenna and put the pedal down upon Bobrovskys return. They won eight in a row from Jan. 6 to Jan. 23 and thrust themselves into the Eastern Conference playoff race, earning the Eastern Conferences first wild card spot. Though outmatched on paper, the plucky Blue Jackets pulled out a pair of dramatic overtime wins against Sidney Crosby and the Penguins in Games 2 and 4. They almost forced a Game 7, but the clock ran out on the season despite a three-goal outburst in the third period of an eventual 4-3 Game 6 loss. The Jackets saluted their rapturous fans from the ice but, more importantly, may have served notice to the league that theyre for real. In just his third NHL season, 21-year-old Ryan Johansen found his stride. He emerged as the No. 1 centre the Jackets had been waiting for and piled in 33 goals without missing a single game. How that plays out this season remains to be seen. He shone in the lockout-shortened 2012-13 season and was a spark-plug for the team upon his return last year. His save percentage prior to injury was .909, but he posted a .931 mark to finish the season. The rest is up to the development of their young core and scoring depth. Johansen had his breakout year, but second in team scoring was defenceman James Wisniewski with 51 points. The addition of Scott Hartnell from the Philadelphia Flyers is a huge character boost for a team that already has a lot of that, but questions beg about his on-ice performance. He brings grit and is always good for 100 penalty minutes, but have the Jackets acquired the 20-goal player from last season or was Hartnells scoring talent buried by the Flyers depth last year? He scored 37 in 2011-12, but at 32 years-old, expecting him to do it again may be unrealistic. Hartnell does, however, provide leadership and a positive influence for the teams young forwards. Johansen, Boone Jenner, Cam Atkinson, Artem Anisimov, Nick Foligno and Brandon Dubinsky are all still in their twenties and could learn a lot from him. Excellent skater with the ability to move past defenders seemingly with ease. Can make plays with the puck at high speed and in tight areas. What should allow Alexander to be a top center is an outstanding sense of the game, offensively and defensively. He adapts to the situation and then takes advantage. Centre ice is a critical position in the NHL and a duo of Alexander and Ryan Johansen puts the Blue Jackets in a position for success. Fantasy - Cullens Player to Watch - Boone Jenner A physical forward with good size, Jenner earned a more prominent role late in his rookie season, scoring 15 points in his last 27 games (then five points in six playoff games), finishing the year on Ryan Johansens wing. Jenner is still young, only 21-years-old heading into his second season, and it could be too soon to forecast an offensive breakthrough, but if Johansen gets signed and there is an opportunity to build on the foundation they were laying last season, then Jenner should continue to play a prominent role in the Blue Jackets attack. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys ' ' '

BOSTON -- A day of treatment after getting hit by a pitch may have put Conor Gillaspie back on track. Adidas ZX 700 UK . He hit a tie-breaking, two-run homer for his third hit of the game and the Chicago White Sox beat the struggling Boston Red Sox 8-3 on Tuesday night. "Sometimes you can benefit by getting hurt and getting a day off and recharging," Chicago manager Robin Ventura said. "Hes swinging the bat fine. Running, Im sure, hes still sore." Gillaspie could just trot around the bases when his second homer of the season gave the White Sox a 5-3 lead in the sixth inning. Two days earlier, a pitch from Dominic Leone hit him in the right leg in the fifth inning of Chicagos 1-0 win over the Seattle Mariners. Gillaspie bruised his right knee and left for a pinch runner, then missed Chicagos 4-0 win over Boston on Monday night. "Obviously, it was a little bit sore," he said, "but I think getting treatment a whole entire day, 10 hours worth of treatment, I think it helped everything for me." He went 3 for 4 after going 4 for 29 in his previous nine games. "I was fortunate it missed my knee for the most part," Gillaspie said. Boston snapped Chicago pitchers streak of 22 scoreless innings but lost for the seventh time in eight games as the defending World Series champions remained in last place in the AL East. "Were just not very consistent," Red Sox catcher David Ross said. "When we do score runs, we havent pitched the way we wanted to, and when we pitched the way we need to we havent scored runs." The White Sox are 5-1 in their last six games, allowing three runs or less in all six with a scoring margin of 25-9. John Danks (8-6) started with four shutout innings on Tuesday night after Hector Noesi beat Seattle on Sunday and Scott Carroll won on Monday night when Boston had just two hits. The White Sox squandered a 3-0 lead when the Red Sox tied it with three runs in the fifth. But Chicago went ahead with two in the sixth and then added three in the ninth. Jose Abreu started the sixth with a single against Brandon Workman (1-3). With two outs, Gillaspie hit a 3-and-2 pitch just inside the right-field pole. He had singled, doubled and scored a run earlier. Abreu had two doubles and a single and has hit safely in 21 of his last 22 games. Chicago added three run-scoring extra-base hits in the ninth -- a triple by Alejandro De Aza and doubles by Gordon Beckham and Paul Konerko. The White Sox took a 2-0 lead with unearned runs in the second. They loaded the bases on a walk to Adam Dunn and singles by Alexei Ramirez and Gillaspie. Dunn scored on an error by first baseman Mike Napoli and Ramirez came in when De Aza grounded into a double play. Napoli appeared to be trying to transfer the ball from his glove to his right hand to throw home for a force play. "Any time you give extra outs, youre asking for trouble," Red Sox manager John Farrell said. "Over the past five games weve given up a number of extra outs that have led to runs." Chicago made it 3-0 in the fourth when Gillaspie doubled and scored on a single by De Aza. The Red Sox, the lowest-scoring team in the American League, failed to score after loading the bases in the first and fourth. They finally got to Danks, 5-1 in his last seven starts, in the fifth. Brock Holt tripled when centre fielder De Aza let the ball get behind him after he raced in and dived for it. Dustin Pedroia and Napoli followed with run-scoring doubles and Xander Bogaerts tied it with an RBI single. But Danks ended the threat by striking out the next two batters. "Sharp or not, I was able to make a pitch when I needed to," he said. NOTES: Ross threw out two runners trying to steal second -- De Aza in the fourth and Adam Eaton in the fifth. ... Chicagos streak of six games allowing three runs or less is its longest since seven straight from May 2-9, 2011. ... John Isner, the top-seeded player at the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport, Rhode Island, threw out a ceremonial first pitch. ... Chris Sale (8-1) pitches for Chicago on Wednesday night in the third game of the four-game series against Rubby De La Rosa (2-2). Farrell said he would be recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket. Adidas Zx Flux trainers White . Now, after a stunning run in Melbourne, Stanislas Wawrinka has a new nickname: The Stanimal — a tribute to his gritty, fight-until-the end style of tennis. Fittingly, perhaps, the name was apparently coined by none other than Roger Federer, in a tweet of support for his friend which quickly caught on earlier in the tournament. Adidas ZX 700 Red . Instead, he focused on the final result: another Tigers victory. Rajai Davis homered, and Detroit overcame a rare shaky performance by Verlander to complete a three-game sweep of the Orioles with a 7-5 victory.DETROIT -- The Detroit Grand Prix has reached a two-year extension with Chevrolet to keep a race on Belle Isle through at least 2016. The announcement was made Tuesday. Auto racing returned to Detroit in 2012 following a four-year absence thanks in part to a three-year deal with Chevy. Without the new contract, this years IndyCar races could haave potentially been the last ones scheduled in the Motor City. Adidas ZX 700 Cheap. The Detroit Grand Prix will feature a pair of races -- on May 30 and June 1 -- just like last year. Itll be interesting to see if hes back next year

FIVE QUICK NBA THOUGHTS: 1. Nike Roshe One Dames . TORONTO RAPTORS AND THE PLAYOFFS: After watching the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat game Tuesday night and once again witnessing the Nets beat the Heat, Im convinced that the best course of action for the Raptors will be for them to make sure they do everything in their power to secure the third seed in the Eastern Conference and the Atlantic Division title. I want no part of the other current bracket (Heat/Nets/Chicago Bulls).  Ill take my chances with the Washington Wizards or Charlotte Bobcats in the first round, though, either of those match-ups isnt a walk in the park, either. If you can win a series, and that wont be easy, and the current standings hold form, I feel confident that the Raptors could play a very competitive series against the Indiana Pacers. Im not saying they would win that series - the defence has to really improve down the stretch here and get back to early-mid-January form - but it would be quite compelling. There are five games left. Win all of your games and you write your own ticket. Stumble and the help will have to come from others and thats never a position you want to be in. 2. JOE DUMARS (Pistons): Rumours are swirling that hes going to step down as the teams president and GM and Im not a bit surprised. Too many coaching firings and going all-in on guys like Ben Gordon, Charlie Villaneuva, Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings sealed his fate in Motown. He had a terrific run in the early 2000s as the elite team in the Eastern Conference, but you see it often with coaches and GMs - you lose your fastball and get stale in your approach/creativity and you lose your way. Hes a good basketball man and some time away will reinvigorate him and Im sure hell be back at it again down the line. 3. MIKE DANTONI (Lakers): Watching some of his recent games, he looks like a beaten man and someone who knows that his fate is sealed in LA. DAntoni is an outstanding offensive coach who has had to deal with numerous injuries and drama there. At the end of the day, its a results-oriented business and when you evaluate his run in Denver, New York and LA, it doesnt look good. On the other hand, his teams in Phoenix - thanks in large part to Bryan Colangelos personnel moves - were awesome and entertaining to watch. Does he get another shot? Im not sure, but I do know that hes very capable if you give him a solid roster. If it ends there, I think hell be heard from again, at least as an assistant coach for a head coach looking for a guy who can upgrade his offence. Hed be a guy to talk to if hed consider being in that role. 4. INDIANA PACERS: Heard coach Frank Vogels interview where he said that being the top seed in the East was the "goal", but the "priority" is to be playing well down the stretch and be healthy/sharp heading into the playoffs. Well, what a change in approach. Theyve been obsessed with being the top seed since training camp. Now its about trying to rebuild your teams collective psyche, which wont be easy, but is doable. The talent is there to win the East, but the chemistry is off-kilter and Roy Hibbert needs a reality check. He is a defensive player who can block shots and rebound on both ends. Do what you do well, thats your strength, and play to it. Hes a quatenary or quinary offensive option in the grand scheme of things when hes on the floor. If they get him to buy into that, theyll be fine. Paul George and David West must have the ball in their hands a majority of the time, plain and simple. 5. STEVE NASH (Lakers): Congrats on becoming number-three on the NBAs all-time assists list last night. I watched the game versus the Houston Rockets and felt for him playing injured and in pain. Its ice to see him out there, though. What a career. Hell be a Hall of Famer. Itll be interesting to see if hes back next year for the Lakers for the final year of his contract, but its been a great run either way.  Nike Roshe Run Blauw Dames . McDonagh put the puck past backup goalie Thomas Greiss, who relieved injured starter Mike Smith in the third period and then gave up the tying and winning goals. Girardi got the Rangers even with 3:26 left in regulation when he tipped in a drive by his defence partner McDonagh.Frisco, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Portland Timbers claimed a 2-0 victory over FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium on Saturday but ultimately lost out on a playoff berth after Vancouver Whitecaps FC earned a narrow win later in the night. Portlands victory put the club on 49 points to temporarily climb ahead of the Caps, but Vancouvers 1-0 defeat of the Colorado Rapids restored their one- point lead in the table for good. The Timbers broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute of Saturdays contest at Toyota Stadium when Darlington Nagbe took a pass from Diego Chara and unleashed a shot from the top of the box that received a massive deflection on its way past Chris Seitz. FC Dallas thought it had leveledd the score in the 63rd minute when Michels free kick ricocheted into the back of the net, but the goal was disallowed as Fabian Castillo clearly directed the ball into the goal with his hand. Nike Roshe One Print Dames. Portland eventually doubled the lead as Gaston Fernandez slipped a pass through the Dallas defense for Maxi Urruti to smash home with eight minutes remaining. It proved to be the dagger Portland would need to kill off the match, but Vancouvers win dashed the clubs hopes of a second consecutive playoff appearance. Dallas, meanwhile, squandered its chance to avoid the Western Conference play- in game, instead settling for fourth place in the table by remaining on 54 points. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys cheap jerseyscheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys ' ' '

a wide-open layup and neither team scored again.

(SportsNetwork. Nick Powell Manchester United Jersey .com) - There are few clubs who would rather face Henrik Lundqvist than his backup, but the struggling Philadelphia Flyers could be wishing for that scenario when they visit the rival New York Rangers on Saturday afternoon. New Yorks Cam Talbot posted his second shutout in as many starts against the Flyers this season, stopping 26 shots to help the Blueshirts win 3-0 in the opener of a home-and-home series Friday in Philadelphia. Talbot hadnt played since making 31 saves in a 2-0 triumph over the visiting Flyers on Nov. 19 at Madison Square Garden and on Friday afternoon he stopped every shot sent his way to give the Rangers a third win in their last four tries. All three of those wins have come via shutout, as Lundqvist stopped 21 shots in 5-0 win over Montreal on Sunday. The last time New York posted a shutout in three games over a four-game span was when they registered three consecutive shutouts from Feb. 4-10, 1973. The Rangers have an NHL-leading six shutouts over 22 games in 2014-15. In three career games against Philly, Talbot owns a 2-1-0 record and a .67 goals against average, but despite his success against the Flyers, New York will go back to its No. 1 netminder in Saturdays rematch. Lundqvist, the 2011-12 Vezina Trophy winner, is no slouch in this series either, posting a 27-13-3 record and a 2.49 GAA in 45 lifetime games against Philadelphia. Fridays tilt also was a big game for Martin St. Louis, as the Rangers forward posted a goal and assist to reach 1,000 career points. The two-time Art Ross Trophy winner has registered 379 goals and 621 assists over 1,082 games. Its always great when you achieve something, but I dont think it crosses your mind when you try and play in this league, said St. Louis about reaching the milestone. To get a thousand, its a great accomplishment. Im not going to hide my feelings, Im proud of that. Dan Boyle and Rick Nash also scored for the defending Eastern Conference champions, while Derek Stepan assisted on all three goals. Nashs tally was a short-handed goal that came early in the third period and less than a minute after the Flyers were awarded a four-minute power play when Chris Kreider drew blood on a high stick against Philadelphias Sean Couturier. Stepan led a 3-on-1 rush and sent a pass from the left wing into the right circle for Nash, who one-timed a shot into the net for his 16th goal of the season. The goal pushed New Yorks cushion to 3-0. New York welcomed captain Ryan McDonagh back to the lineup Friday after he missed the previous 11 games with a separated shoulder. The defenseman picked up an assist on Nashs goal. Steve Mason made 21 saves for the skidding Flyers, who have lost three in a row and are 1-6-1 in their last eight. The recent drought has dropped Philadelphia six points behind Toronto for the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. The Flyers were 0-for-6 on the power play and are just 3-for-24 with the man advantage over their last six games. Were definitely in a rut here, said Mason. There is still a lot of time to make up room, but you cant let this keep sliding like this. Its unacceptable, its embarrassing and we have to get going on a roll here. Philadelphia backup Ray Emery could get the start today. Emery owns excellent career numbers against the Rangers, going 7-2-0 with a 1.87 GAA and .936 save percentage in this matchup. The Rangers have won three straight and four of the last five meetings against the Flyers. Although Philly won one of four road meetings against New York in the opening round of last seasons playoffs, the Flyers have lost nine consecutive regular-season tilts at Madison Square Garden. Not counting a Game 2 win at MSG last spring, the Flyers havent won on the road in this series since Feb. 20, 2011. Angel Di Maria Jersey . -- Canadian Milos Raonic missed his chance at his first semifinal showing since last October as the 10th seed lost to Alexandr Dolgopolov 6-3, 6-4 Thursday at the BNP Paribas Open. Nani Jersey . I just wanted to hit the rim and give ourselves a chance, and we got something positive out of it.Deng made both foul shots to lift Miami to a 95-91 lead. The biggest thing is to make the first one, he said. To me it wasnt two free throws, it was just worry about this one. But Wade then scored for the Heat, who put together an 18-8 surge to increase their advantage to 11.I dont wish anything bad on Dwyane Wade. Keith Rivers to a two-year contract on March 12

East Lansing, MI (SportsNetwork. Womens Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 31 .com) - Texas Southern did not take its first lead of the game until there was only 1:26 remaining in regulation, The Tigers were then able to force overtime and pull off a 71-64 upset win over No. 25 Michigan State on Saturday. Jason Carters 3-pointer capped a 7-0 Texas Southern run to give it a 53-52 lead, and his bucket the next possession helped push the game to overtime. Texas Southern (2-8) hit 12 free throws in the extra session to record its second win of the season. Chris Thomas led all scorers with 22 points for the Tigers, while Malcolm Riley added 20 off the bench. The Spartans (8-4) got 17 points and 10 rebounds from Matt Costello, and Denzel Valentine chipped in 15. Michigan State was just 4-of-21 from long distance. What we are trying to do is be all in every possession, said Tigers coach Mike Davis. Every possession we need to block out. I thought that tonight we did that. I thought Michigan State just came out and kind of played. They missed some shots early, and they just kept missing shots. After Carters layup with 29 seconds left, the Spartans were given a great opportunity to win the game in regulation. However, Javon Bess only made 1- of-2 at the line, and the game went to overtime after the Tigers turned the ball over as time expired. Michigan State made more shots from the floor in overtime than Texas Southern, but the Tigers hit enough free throws to build up a lead that got as large as nine points. The Spartans never led in overtime and shot just 30.8 percent from the field. I have to give Mike Davis all the credit in the world, said Spartans coach Tom Izzo. His kids played harder than us, they shot better than us, they rebounded the ball not quite as well as us, they turned us over more, they made big plays, they made their free throws. The Spartans led by as much as eight in the first half but both times they took that eight-point lead, Thomas responded with a bucket on the other hand. Thomas led all scorers at the half with 10 points as Michigan State took a 30-25 lead into the locker room. Gavin Schilling hit both of Michigan States first two baskets in the second half with the second giving the Spartans a 34-27 lead 2 1/2 minutes after the break. The Tigers proceeded to go on their biggest run of the game to tie it up at 34. David Blanks shot from long range started the 7-0 run, and Madarious Gibbs jumper tied the game for the first time. Valentines triple at the 8:00 mark of the second half extended Michigan States advantage to eight again, but the Spartans would only hit one more shot the rest of regulation. Game Notes Michigan State falls to 2-1 in the all-time series ... Texas Southern was averaging being outscored by 17.4 points per game ... The Tigers are now 1-8 on the road ... The Spartans outrebounded Texas Southern 40-28 ... Michigan State will try to get on track Monday against the Citadel while Texas Southern plays another road game Tuesday at Auburn. Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 31 White . Michael Grabner knocked in a shot from the slot at 1:46 of overtime, giving the Islanders a 2-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Friday night. Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 31 Red . LOUIS -- Facing trouble, Michael Wacha did his best to slow down the game.ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- After a falling out with the New England Patriots, linebacker Brandon Spikes is embracing his fresh start with the Buffalo Bills. Spikes joined the Bills late Friday night on a one-year contract. The Bills have been active in free agency thus far, signing six free agents. The middle linebacker is easily Buffalos most intriguing addition. The 26-year-old Spikes is an aggressive, hard-hitting defender. A second-round pick of the Patriots in 2010, Spikes started 39 of 53 games in New England, with 286 tackles and five forced fumbles. He was third on the Patriots in tackles in 2013 with 86. "I was excited the whole time to get going with a new start in a new beginning in a new place," Spikes said on a conference call Monday. "I feel like its going to be fun and Im down for a challenge. I want to help change the culture there." Spikes is known for the physical nature of his play. "All the old-school, throwback backers, I just moulded my game after them and it just stuck with me this whole time," Spikes said. "I wouldnt call it intimidating, Im just playing and going hard and relentless and play every play like its your last." The addition of Spikes is one of many moves the Bills hope will fix their porous run defence. With Spikes taking over middle linebacker duties, the Bills plan on moving young standout Kiko Alonso to the weak side after spending his rookie season in the middle. The Bills also signed former New York Giants linebacker Keith Rivers to a two-year contract on March 12. The Bills finished 28th against the run in 2013, allowing an average of 128.9 yards per game. "I actually think it was like seven games where they gave up 150 yards on the ground. I just want to come and help them out," Spikes said. "Thats one of my strengths, stopping the run, and I feel like I can help. Whatever they need me to do, Im willing to ddo and do it at a high level. Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 31 Black. " Spikes joins a defence that has its fourth co-ordinator in four seasons. Former Detroit head coach Jim Schwartz is installing a base 4-3 following the departure of Mike Pettine, who left Buffalo after one year to become head coach of the Cleveland Browns. Spikes is set to reunite with his former linebackers coach, Pepper Johnson, now Buffalos defensive line coach. Johnson made the move from New England in January and Spikes said his presence was one of the reasons he decided to come to Buffalo. "A great coach, a great inspiration to the game," Spikes said. "He loves the game and hes definitely what I want to be down the road; hes a legendary ball player and coach." After playing with a knee injury for several weeks in New England, Spikes was placed on injured reserve on Jan. 6. An ESPN report later said Spikes was placed on IR after being late to a team meeting during a Boston snow storm. On Saturday, after the contract was official, Spikes tweeted: "Free at last, free at last. I thank God Im free at last. Free at last, Free at last !!!!!! #LetsGetIt #PoWwWwW." "I just want to kind of close that chapter," Spikes said. "I just want to put that all behind me. Its great just to have a new beginning. Im excited. The past is the past. Im happy now and Im ready to get to work and Im just ready to help." Spikes is hoping to follow in the footsteps of his cousin, Takeo Spikes. Takeo Spikes was a standout linebacker with the Bills from 2003-06. After wearing number 55 in New England, Spikes is returning to the number 51, which he wore earlier in his career, in honour of his cousin. "He inspired me to be great," Spikes said. "He inspired me to have a dream and chase it. ... Watching him in Buffalo growing up inspired me to wear the number 51 ... hes just somebody I look to be like." cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys ' ' '

top point guards in our league.

Rashard Mendenhall has had a pretty solid career. Justin Houston Womens Jersey . He rushed for over 1,000 yards on two occasions and appeared in two Super Bowls. However, at age 26, he decided to walk away from the game to explore some of his other interests, including writing. Mendenhall blogged about his retirement on Huffington Post. He writes: "I look forward to chasing my desires and passions without restriction, and to sharing them with anyone who wants to come along with me! And Ill start with writing!" Mendenhall also touches on some of his other interests in the blog: "Over my career, because of my interests in dance, art and literature, my very calm demeanor, and my apparent lack of interest in sporting events on my Twitter page, people in the sporting world have sometimes questioned whether or not I love the game of football. I do. I always have. " But most prevalently, like other NFL players who have opted for early retirement, he cites health concerns: "I no longer wish to put my body at risk for the sake of entertainment. I think about the rest of my life and I want to live it with much quality. And physically, I am grateful that I can walk away feeling as good as I did when I stepped into it." Bernier left Thursday nights game against the Kings with a lower-body injury and was replaced by James Reimer, who stopped every shot he faced to pick up the victory.MILWAUKEE -- Goran Dragic tumbled to the floor after a hard foul. When he finally got up, he was holding his elbow. That didnt stop him from sealing the game for the Phoenix Suns. Dragic scored 10 of his 30 points in the final 3:28, helping the Suns beat the Milwaukee Bucks 126-117 on Wednesday night. "Emotions," Dragic said. "You are so much in the zone, the adrenaline keeps you going." Dragic hit the floor hard after a late foul by Larry Sanders, but was able to stay in the game -- and keep scoring, including a pair of 3-pointers on back-to-back possessions. But he was on the bench with a wrap on his left elbow in the closing minutes, and was escorted to the locker room with 52 seconds remaining. Dragic said an X-ray was negative, but his elbow was swollen. "Im a little bit concerned," Dragic said. "Right now it is too soon. We will see how I am feeling in the morning. Im a quick healer." Gerald Green scored 23 and Marcus Morris had 16 points off the bench for the Suns, who have won the first three games of a four-game road trip. Suns coach Jeff Hornacek wasnt pleased that his team frittered away a few big leads. "When we get up, we have a tendency to relax," Hornacek said. "If you are not scoring, at least play defence." Ersan Ilyasova scored 27 points and Brandon Knight added 24 for the Bucks, who have only one win in January. A sign of the times in a tough season: The biggest ovation of the night went not to a Bucks player but rather to former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver, who was sitting courtside. Still Bucks coach Larry Drew was pleased with the way his team responded from a pair of blowout losses. "There were some positives to come out of this game, and were going to continue to try to build on the positives," Drew said. And Drew was plenty impressed by Dragic. "I think a lot of people used to look at him as a reserve," Drew said. "But he has shown that hes a starter. Not only is he a starter, butt he has emerged as one of the top point guards in our league. Husain Abdullah Womens Jersey. " Leading by 12 at halftime, the Suns let the Bucks back in the game during a third-quarter spurt led by Knights ability to draw fouls and hit free throws. Milwaukee cut the lead to six before Green drained three 3-pointers in a stretch of just over two minutes -- gesturing to the crowd with three fingers on his way back down the court -- but Milwaukee hung close and went into the fourth quarter trailing 91-84. Green said he enjoyed going back and forth with the crowd. "Loved it," Green said. "Best part of the game to me. It kept fueling me up. It got me going. It is exciting playing against a crowd like that." The Bucks cut the lead to five on a fast-break slam dunk by rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo with 7:27 left in the game, but Phoenix responded with a 7-2 run. Dragic hit a 3-pointer with 4:04 left, giving the Suns a 114-102 lead, and hit two more 3-pointers to seal the game. Sanders played for Milwaukee despite a recent illness, coming off the bench to score 14 and grab nine rebounds. "They really capitalize on mistakes," Sanders said of the Suns. "They get out in the open floor and they run, they finish in transition and get fouled -- make something happen." Milwaukee was without guard O.J. Mayo because of flu-like symptoms, and forward Ekpe Udoh continued to sit out with a sprained left ankle. The Suns led by 12 at halftime, thanks to a second-quarter surge led by Dragic and Morris, who caused fits for Antetokounmpo on defence. A 25-7 run in the middle of the second quarter powered the Suns to a lead as large as 23 before the Bucks made up some ground going into the half. Notes: Antetokounmpo was selected to play in the "Rising Stars Challenge" during All-Star weekend. Coach Larry Drew is glad a national audience will get a chance to watch him. "It gives everybody a chance to see who he is now," Drew said. ... made the turn in 7-under 29.

MANCHESTER, England -- Manchester United slumped to a 2-1 loss at relegation-threatened Stoke in the Premier League on Saturday to puncture the optimism generated by Juan Matas arrival and leave the reigning champions with a huge task to finish in the Champions League positions. Cheap Jerseys . Uniteds eighth defeat of a wretched campaign means Liverpool, which currently occupies the fourth and final Champions League place, could go nine points clear of its fierce rival by beating West Bromwich Albion on Sunday. Charlie Adam scored both of Stokes goals at Britannia Stadium either side of Robin van Persies equalizer, with a miserable day for seventh-place United capped by first-half injuries to centre halves Jonny Evans and Phil Jones that forced them off. It was Stokes maiden win over United in the Premier League, and first since 1984. "I dont know what we have to do to win," said United manager David Moyes. Everton bounced back from its derby thrashing by Liverpool in midweek by coming from behind to beat Aston Villa 2-1 and climb to fifth above Tottenham, which drew 1-1 at Hull. Cardiff climbed off the bottom by scoring two goals in 73 seconds at the start of the second half to defeat Norwich 2-1. That left Fulham, which was overwhelmed 3-0 at home to Southampton, two points adrift in last place. West Ham completes the bottom three even though it beat Swansea 2-0 thanks to a brace by Kevin Nolan. That win was marred by a red card to striker Andy Carroll for elbowing an opponent. The other match saw Sunderland earn a second straight 3-0 win at Newcastle in the northeast derby, sparking anger and frustration by home fans disillusioned by the sale of star player Yohan Cabaye to Paris Saint-Germain this week. Such is the tightness of the bottom half of the table, Sunderland -- like Stoke -- is now nearer mid-table than the relegation zone. With Mata joining from Chelsea for a club-record fee last week and both Wayne Rooney and Van Persie back fit, things looked like turning around for United and its under-pressure manager David Moyes. Most thought the comfortable 2-0 win over Cardiff on Tuesday would be the first in a run of victories to lift the champions up to the top four, but they came unstuck at the hands of a gutsy Stoke side managed by a former United favourite, Mark Hughes. "I thought we were, to a man, fantastic," said Hughes, who played 467 games for United. "We got a great reward for a huge amount of effort." Stoke enjoyed some fortune with the first goal, with Adams long-range free kick in the 38th taking a wicked deflection off Michael Carrick and flying into the far corner past stranded goalkeeper David de Gea. Mata set up Van Persie to make it 1-1 in the 47th but Adam grabbed what proved to be the winner from 25 yards five minutes later. "It is a massive result against a great team," Adam said. Belgium forward Kevin Mirallas popped up with Evertons winning goal from a free kick in the 85th minute, after Steven Naismith had cancelled out Leandro Bacunas opener for Villa. Everton is provisionally a point behind neighbour Liverpool, which beat its Merseyside rival 4-0 on Tuesday. Tottenham moved four points clear of United after Paulinhos 61st-minute goal earned a draw against Hull, which took the lead through Shane Longs first goal for the club since his recent move from West Brom. Cheap Jerseys From China . PHOENIX -- Morgan Pressel had a befitting start at Wildfire Golf Club. She was 6 under after six holes, then 9 under through 11. Golfs magic number of 59 -- accomplished only on the LPGA Tour by Annika Sorenstam in 2001 at nearby Moon Valley -- was in range and word spread quickly Thursday at the JTBC Founders Cup. "Wow. Go Morgan," friend Natalie Gulbis tweeted. "I dont know if I was necessarily thinking 59, but I probably just got a little bit excited, because I had never been that many under par in that short of a span," Pressel said. "I just got a little bit quick and came back to earth." She did, bogeying the next two holes and closing with five pars for a 7-under 65 that left her a stroke behind first-round leader Mirim Lee. After birdieing Nos. 1 and 2 -- her 10th and 11th holes -- to reach 9 under, Pressel pulled her drive left on the par-4 third. Her ball lodged at the base of a short bush, with the bulk of the branches between the right-hander and the ball. There were burrowing animal holes near the ball, but they didnt interfere with a possible swing or stance. "I could have hit it left-handed and there were a couple of burrowing animal holes around," Pressel said. "I brought them (rules officials) over to ask, but I didnt honestly think that I was going to get relief and I dont think that I deserved it." Pressel took an unplayable lie and missed the green to the right, chipped to 7 feet and made the putt to save bogey. She also dropped a stroke on the par-3 fourth, missing a 15-footer after hitting another iron to the right. "It wasnt the finish that I would have hoped for, but it gives me a little bit of confidence knowing how many birdies I can make and Im capable of," she said. Pressel birdied the first four holes and made a 50-footer for eagle on the par-5 15th. She also birdied the par-3 17th and made the turn in 7-under 29. "I dont know that Ive ever gotten off to that hot of a start," Pressel said. A tour regular since she was 17, the 25-year-old Pressel won the 2007 Kraft Nabisco to become the youngest womens major champion. Cheap NFL Jerseys. She also won the 2008 Kapalua LPGA. "I definitely feel like I have the ability to win again," Pressel said. Lee also started on No. 10 and nearly matched Pressels start, playing her opening nine in 6-under 30. She had three birdies and a bogey on the front side for a 64. "Everything was good," said Lee, making her third LPGA Tour start. Defending champion Stacy Lewis, top-ranked Inbee Park and Michelle Wie were two strokes back at 66 along with 2011 winner Karrie Webb, Eun-Hee Ji, Catriona Matthew, Gerina Piller and Pernilla Lindberg. "A lot of tee shots set up well for me," Lewis said. "They fit my eye." Coming off a victory two weeks ago in China in a Ladies European Tour event, Park birdied the final three holes. She closed with a tap-in birdie on the par-4 ninth after nearly holing a full pitching wedge. "It was a very solid round," Park said. "Very good irons." Wie eagled the par-5 fifth. "I hit 3-wood, 5-iron over the green and then chipped in," Wie said. Sixteen-year-old Lydia Ko had a 67. Playing alongside Park, Ko closed with a bogey after driving left into the desert. "I forgot to bring my food and my protein bars," Ko said. "Thats my excuse." DIVOTS: Paula Creamer, a playoff winner three weeks ago in Singapore in the last LPGA Tour event, shot 70. She had a double bogey on the par-4 eighth, her 17th hole. ... Cheyenne Woods, Tiger Woods niece, had a 71. The Phoenix player won the LETs Australian Ladies Masters last month. ...
