their price was far higher than what

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Vikings have ruled out running back Adrian Peterson for their final game of the season. Hugo Almeida Jersey . The Vikings announced Saturday they downgraded Peterson from doubtful on the original injury report to out against Detroit Sunday, when the Vikings and Lions will play the last game at the Metrodome. Peterson sprained his right foot Dec. 8 at Baltimore and sat out the following week against Philadelphia. He played last Sunday at Cincinnati but was mostly ineffective. Peterson acknowledged afterward the injury affected his performance. He has also been bothered this year by a sore groin. Peterson finished the season with 1,266 yards rushing, the second-lowest total of his seven years in the NFL. Ricardo Costa Jersey . The Oilers have the third selection in Friday nights first round, a year after taking Darnell Nurse seventh and two years removed from a streak of three consecutive No. Luis Figo Jersey . The 26-year-old Cisse joined for an undisclosed fee, with some reports in the British media valuing the transfer at 10 million pounds ($15.3 million). Cisse will not be available to Newcastle while Senegal is competing in the African Cup on Nations, which starts on Saturday.ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Minnesota Wild traded for goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov on Tuesday in conjunction with their decision to shut down ailing veteran Niklas Backstrom. The Wild sent a fourth-round draft pick to Edmonton to complete the deal one day before the NHL trade deadline. General manager Chuck Fletcher said the team must assume that neither Backstrom nor Josh Harding will be healthy enough to mind the net again this season. Rookie Darcy Kuemper has been stellar in their absence, but with a finishing stretch of 20 games in 37 days starting Saturday, hes not enough. "We have a lot of work ahead of us to get where we want to get to, but clearly having two quality goaltenders was very important," Fletcher said. Kuemper has started 15 straight games, so Bryzgalov is more for insurance, though hes certain to have his time, too. The Wild are 14-4-2 in 2014 and in firm control of the first wild-card spot in the Western Conference playoff race. "I will do my job as best I can. Making the decisions on who is supposed to play is not my job," Bryzgalov said on a conference call. He added: "I look at this as a great opportunity for me to play, and yeah its like a new challenge." Backstrom has been bothered by injuries all season, most notably to his midsection that will probably prompt surgery, and the 36-year-old has a career-worst 3.02 goals-against average over 21 games. Fletcher told him Monday of their preference to hold him out until training camp. "His pain threshold is tremendous," Fletcher said. "Hes a competitive guy and I know hes really disappointed because the team has taken a really strong step the last couple months. Hes been through some of the lean times, and I know he wants to be a part of it but our goal for Nik is to get him healthy." Harding was superb early in the season, but the 2013 Masterton Trophy winner -- for sportsmanship, dedication and perseverance -- has not played at all in 2014 due to illness related to medication for multiple sclerosis. With not much more than a month left in the regular season and Harding not yet ready to resume skating, Fletcher said hes probably finished until the fall, ttoo. Eduardo Jersey. The search for a replacement intensified in the last couple of days. Martin Brodeur and Jaroslav Halak also were potentially available via trade, but their price was far higher than what it took to nab Bryzgalov. The 33-year-old Russian has a 5-8-5 record in 20 games for the Oilers this season, with an ugly 3.01 goals-against average. Hes on an expiring contract, a requirement for the Wild. This is a rental, plain and simple. Thats largely because Kuemper has tied a Wild rookie record with 11 wins and since Jan. 7 has a 1.70 GAA with two shutouts and a .939 save percentage. "Weve always felt hed be a very good No. 1 goalie down the road, and we just didnt realize down the road would mean this January and February," Fletcher said. The pick sent to Edmonton was originally acquired last year from Buffalo in the trade that brought first-line right wing Jason Pominville to Minnesota. Bryzgalov has 38 games of playoff experience over five postseasons with Anaheim, Phoenix and Philadelphia, including three stellar starts against the Wild in the Western Conference quarterfinals in 2007. He stopped 73 of 77 shots in the first three games of that series, all Ducks victories. Bryzgalov struggled in defeat in the next game, Jean-Sebastien Giguere replaced him thereafter and the Ducks went on to win the Stanley Cup. Bryzgalovs career record is 213-157-50, including a 42-20-6 mark for the Coyotes during the 2009-10 season, his best in the NHL. He had a 2.29 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. Then came his ill-fated time in Philadelphia. The Flyers signed him to a $51 million, nine-year contract in 2011 and used a salary-cap compliance buyout to release him last June, just two seasons into the megadeal. General manager Paul Holmgren said then the contract was "a costly mistake." Bryzgalov didnt sign with the Oilers until last November. After signing goalie Ben Scrivens to a two-year contract extension last week, the Oilers took their first step away from Bryzgalov. Then they acquired goalie Viktor Fasth from Anaheim on Tuesday for a fifth-round draft pick this summer and a third-round selection in 2015. cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys wholesale jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys Etrit Berisha Jersey ' ' '

coming within one out of a perfect

ARLINGTON, Texas - Yu Darvish will be the opening day starter for the Texas Rangers. Fabio Coentrao Jersey . When asked by a fan Saturday at the teams Fan Fest who would start the March 31 opener against Philadelphia, manager Ron Washington said he thinks "its obvious. Its Darvish." Darvish was 13-9 with a 2.93 ERA in 32 starts last season. He led the majors with 277 strikeouts and was second in the AL Cy Young Award voting. The right-hander dealt with nerve inflammation in his lower back the last six weeks of last season, but his off-season rehab has gone well. He is still home in Japan preparing for spring training and the season. He started the second game last season, coming within one out of a perfect game against Houston. Luka Modric Real Madrid Jersey .Estradas deal was worth US$3.9 million while Saunders will earn $2.875 million. Also Friday, the Blue Jays signed infielder Munenori Kawasaki to a minor-league contract with an invite to spring training and outrighted right-hander Cory Burns to triple-A Buffalo. Gareth Bale Jersey . Cellino was ordered by a judge to pay a 600,000 euro ($800,000) fine for evading import taxes on a yacht he purchased in the United States and brought to Italy, the ANSA news agency reported.MADRID - Atletico Madrid edged Athletic Bilbao 1-0 at home to take a slim lead from the first leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final on Thursday. After Bilbaos Ander Herrera missed a good chance to strike first, Atletico midfielder Jorge "Koke" Resurreccion swung in a cross from the right side for Diego Godin to thump home with a powerful header in the 41st minute. The defending champions pressed to extend their advantage, but Bilbao limited them to a glancing header from Raul Garcia that goalkeeper Iago Herrerin stretched to save 10 minutes from time. "I was lucky enough to hang a ball up there that Godin put in," Koke said. "With 1-0 the tie isnt decided, but we got a good result heading there.&quoot; Diego Simeones side remained unbeaten at its Vicente Calderon Stadium in 18 games this season. Sami Khedira Jersey. . While his team continues to deploy the toughest defence in Spain, Atletico striker Diego Costa came up empty for a fifth match in 2014. "The truth is that we would have liked to have at least drawn. Now we have to turn it around at San Mames," said Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte, who tussled with Diego Costa throughout the intense match. In other opening legs this week, Barcelona rolled to a 4-1 victory at Levante, Real Madrid won 1-0 at Espanyol, and Real Sociedad beat third-tier Racing Santander 3-1 at home. The second legs will be next week after the 21st round of the Spanish league. cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys wholesale jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys Etrit Berisha Jersey ' ' '

MacDonald appears to have found his groove

NASHVILLE -- The Tennessee Titans have deactivated rookie wide receiver Justin Hunter against the Arizona Cardinals for what a team spokesman called a violation of team rules. Brian Schwenke Titans Jersey . Hunter, a second-round draft pick out of Tennessee, is coming off the best game of his career with 114 yards receiving in last weeks loss at Denver, and he has had two 100-yard games in his past three. The Titans also deactivated receiver Damian Williams, leaving Kenny Britt active. The Cardinals scratched tight end Rob Housler, who had been doubtful with an injured groin. Jake Ballard is starting in his spot. Julio Jones Falcons Jersey . Now the defending champion Chicago Blackhawks will try to complete a monumental comeback when they host the Kings in Sundays Game 7 battle at United Center. Justin Durant Falcons Jersey . David Griffin was promoted from interim GM on Monday by owner Dan Gilbert. He says Irving was not consulted on Browns future and any insinuation that he pushed to have him fired is "patently false. The last time Rory MacDonald fought in Vancouver, things didnt exactly go as planned. The B.C. native immediately turned heads in a thrilling bout with future interim welterweight champ Carlos Condit at UFC 115 in 2010. Though MacDonald was ahead on the judges scorecards going into the final round, he succumbed to Condits relentless ground-and-pound with only seven seconds left on the clock. While he may have come out on the losing end that night, MacDonalds performance established him as a young fighter to watch. Over the past four years hes largely lived up to the hype, making the leap from prospect to contender. Now that hes poised to make his Vancouver return against Tyron Woodley in the co-main event of UFC 174 Saturday, MacDonald said he has grown both as a fighter and a person. "I was an inexperienced fighter at that point, it was a very big fight and I got a lot of response (from fans)," said MacDonald of his bout with Condit. "So it was a tough, but good learning experience for me as a martial artist and a UFC fighter to deal with that pressure and perform under it. "Since then Ive had a lot of big fights. Ive been able to deal with it great since then. So I see no difference going back there and fighting there again." Though MacDonald has since etched his spot in the welterweight title picture, consistency has been a problem. If he has struggled in one area, its been the frequency within which hes competed. Since joining the UFC roster in early 2010, hes managed only two fights per year due to a variety of injuries. MacDonald has attributed many of these to over-training and not knowing when to dial back his efforts. However, MacDonald appears to have found his groove as of late. His scrap with Woodley not only marks his second of 2014, but also his fourth in the past 12 months. MacDonald said hes finally hit thhe right balance. Jalen Collins Falcons Jersey. "In a years time Ive been very busy and Ive been focused," MacDonald said. "My trainings been good. Ive been training very smart and been able to stay healthy. Obviously there are some injuries that are out of your control, but others are in your control and I think its just up to your experience as a martial artist. You know, growing up in your training and seeing what works for you. Im starting to figure out a rhythm that works for me. "I understand how to warm my body up, how to spar more technically and put less stress on my system. Its been a combination of a lot of things." MacDonald said a big piece of the puzzle has also been separating east coast from west coast. While in Montreal and New York, hes 100 - percent focused on training. However, after each fight, he spends time with family and friends back in B.C. The Tristar fighter said this allows him to recharge his batteries. "I take a month back home after my fights," MacDonald stated. "After all the hard training, I relax, but I also stay busy and stay active. I go into the gyms where I used to train with all the people that I know. I work with them — nothing crazy; just once a day. I spend my time there and enjoy it with family. It makes me happy. When I come out to Montreal and New York, I focus on my training and I feel energized." With his training formula firmly in place, MacDonald said he cant wait to put on a show in his home province. "It feels great," MacDonald began. "I love fighting in Canada and being in Vancouver is even better because after the fight Im right at home. I get to see my family and I dont have to fly anywhere. I also get a lot of recognition there from the fans. "Its going to be a very exciting night. Im very much looking forward to it." cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys wholesale jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys Etrit Berisha Jersey ' ' '

ind of like the San Francisco game

SAN DIEGO -- Cuban rookie Odrisamer Despaigne is undefeated in his two starts with the San Diego Padres, a small bright spot in a season that otherwise has gone so wrong. Javier Mascherano Barcelona Jersey . Again using an assortment of breaking pitches and arm angles, the 27-year-old Despaigne outdueled fellow rookie Michael Bolsinger to win his second straight start as the Padres beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 2-1 Sunday to pop out of their one-day stay in last place in the NL West. Cameron Maybin keyed the two-run fourth inning for San Diego, which scored their most runs in four games. "Hes got a nice pulse to him," manager Bud Black said of Despaigne, who defected last summer. "Our heartbeats down. He doesnt get fazed. Working his way through a 2 1/2 hour work day, he is pretty composed and clear-thinking. This guy knows how to pitch." Despaigne (2-0) held Arizona to one run and five hits in 6 2-3 innings, walking four and striking out two. He is the sixth Padres pitcher to win his first two starts, and the seventh San Diego pitcher overall to get a win in his first two appearances. In his big league debut last Monday at San Francisco, he held the Giants to four hits in seven shutout innings, striking out one and walking none in a 1-0 win. Despaigne allowed three of the first four Arizona batters to reach base, but allowed only one run. Leadoff batter Ender Inciarte beat out an infield single and stole second before Paul Goldschmidt walked. Miguel Montero singled in Inciarte before Despaigne got Aaron Hill to fly out to centre and struck out Martin Prado to strand runners on first and third. "He wasnt stressed a great deal last week in San Francisco," Black said. "He was stressed there in the first and hung in there. It was good that he didnt let that second run score. His heartbeats pretty good. He knows his game. He knows what he can do with the ball." Despaigne, who signed a minor league contract with the Padres on May 2, said he felt good in making his first start at Petco Park. "I was excited to pitch here in front of the fans," he said through interpreter Yasmani Grandal, who caught both of his starts. "We had lost two games so I wanted to get that win for us. "I felt good," said Despaigne, who played eight seasons with the Havana Industriales of Cubas Serie Nacional. "My breaking pitches were outside the zone so I had to make adjustments and I got it through." Grandal said he told Despaigne the same thing he did in San Francisco: "Make sure you dont shake me off. He did that the first six innings and at the end he wanted to throw something else. Youve got to give him the benefit of the doubt. If he wants to pitch his own game for an inning, hey, Ill give him that." The right-hander retired the first two batters in the sixth before allowing consecutive singles and making way for Kevin Quackenbush, who struck out pinch-hitter Roger Kieschnick to end the inning. Despaigne got the Diamondbacks to hit into three double plays. "A lot of deception," manager Kirk Gibson said. "We had some opportunities. Hes thrown two games and hes given up one run. Hes doing something right." The Padres scored their most runs in four games. Through 81 games, they had scored one or fewer runs 27 times. They swapped places with the Diamondbacks, who had leapfrogged the Padres into fourth place after winning 3-1 Saturday night. Huston Street pitched the ninth for his 21st save in as many chances. The Padres scored twice in the fourth on two hits, two walks and a sacrifice fly off Bolsinger (1-4). Chase Headley drew a leadoff walk, advanced on Tommy Medicas one-out single to left and scored on Maybins double down the right-field line. Medica scored on Alexi Amaristas sac fly. Bolsinger allowed two runs and three hits in six innings, struck out six and walked four. "Since I have been up here I prided myself on not walking people," Bolsinger said. "Kind of like the San Francisco game, where the one walk I gave up, the run scored. So, I just have to try to eliminate that. Besides that, everything else was pretty good." NOTES: Nick Ahmed was selected from Triple-A Reno before the game and made his big league debut for the Diamondbacks, starting at SS and batting eighth. He grounded into a double play in his first at-bat and got his first big league hit, a single, in the seventh. ... The Padres open a three-game series against Cincinnati on Monday night, when former San Diego ace Mat Latos (1-0, 2.89) is scheduled to start against rookie Jesse Hahn (3-1, 2.38). ... The Diamondbacks are off Monday before opening a three-game series at Pittsburgh on Tuesday, when the scheduled starters are Wade Miley (3-6, 4.78) against Jeff Locker (1-1, 3.74) in a matchup of lefties.Sergio Busquets Barcelona Jersey . With the teams trading chances, the Brazilian midfielder put Los Angeles ahead with a looping shot that went over the head of Motagua goalkeeper Kerpo De Leon. The goal was Juninhos sixth in all competitions for the Galaxy and his fifth from beyond the box. Blank Barcelona Jersey . United will finish the season without a major trophy if it fails to overturn a 2-0 deficit against Olympiakos in the last 16 of the Champions League on Wednesday.SAO PAULO, Brazil -- The first test match at a World Cup stadium in the southern Brazilian city of Porto Alegre will not be played this weekend as planned because infrastructure work outside the venue has not been completed. The Beira-Rio is not expected to be fully completed until late February, but local club Internacional was set to host matches with limited attendance bbeginning on Sunday. Thomas Vermaelen Barcelona Jersey. The matches would serve as test events as the stadium prepares to host five World Cup games in June. The decision not to play at the Beira-Rio was made because of all the infrastructure work outside the venue. e Daytona 500 didnt use the new

I have been a very proud parent this week. San Diego Chargers Corey Liuget Jersey . As someone who grew up idolizing many sports I was absolutely thrilled when my daughter came home from school and told me her class spent part of their lunch watching the Winter Olympics in the library. "Look daddy there is that girl skier I watched today," she said pointing at our television. The skier in question hadnt won gold but shed won a spot on national television and, while enjoying her moment in the spotlight, had a huge smile for the camera. An enormous smile for a finish outside the medals. This lady had captured my daughters attention. Her happiness, so it turned out, had been infectious. I had noticed the smile immediately. I had spent my day watching hours of Premier League football and on a day where few goals were scored, even fewer smiles showed up. In fact, aside from celebrating the rare goals, none of the players smiled at all. It made me wonder; isnt anyone having any fun anymore? This had come to my attention watching Manchester Uniteds recent draw with Fulham at Old Trafford. United conceded early, spent much of the next hour camped in their opponents half, scored a goal with 12 minutes left, didnt celebrate, rushed back to restart, then scored a goal again which finally allowed everyone to smile. And laugh. And, in the case of manager David Moyes, act like theyd won the Champions League. It had all seemed a bit forced and then the smiles were well and truly wiped off their faces when Darren Bent netted a dramatic 94th minute equalizer. A few Fulham players smiled at the final whistle, others hugged each other and clapped their fans as they headed down the tunnel, no doubt turning their attention to their next match coming four days later. Welcome to Premier League football in 2014. Every team is either racing after something or trying to run away from something and while they are doing it, very few are stopping to smell the roses on the way. For some, having a plethora of teams challenge for the title, European spots, and against relegation, is seen as parity and a wonderful way for the league to have many important matches. The problem, however, are the intense demands that come with chasing 1st, 4th or 17th, for example, and they are undoubtedly weighing the players down. We are not supposed to feel sorry for a professional footballer. They earn tremendous amounts of money and for that they are supposed to be looked upon differently. However, whilst watching hours of Premier League football this month, I keep coming back to my original question - Is anyone having fun anymore? Professional sports have never been as professional. No stone is unturned and athletes are given the best of everything, but is this making them better and, just as important, are they enjoying themselves? Premier League footballers have their every move looked at, both on and off the playing field. How they train, eat, sleep, socialize, cross, pass, shoot, run, you name it, the club is looking at it. We are told it is to ensure every player is getting what they need so their employers can get the best out of them but you only have to watch Manchester United this season to know that they are not getting the best out of their players. We live in a world where every player in a game we have just watched can be analyzed in many different ways. By this rule, we can debate the merits of Tom Cleverley in midfield, the decision to play Juan Mata wide or Ashley Young at all, for example. Trained eyes can tell you how well they played. Stats available on your smart phone can tell you where they passed the ball and to whom seconds after it happens. Some statistics, if used correctly, can tell a story of how a player performed. Yet, the one thing no one will ever find a way to solve is the inability to know what is happening inside a players mind. Manchester United players this season look like the shirt is very heavy on them. They look like a team featuring players who have some serious doubts in their minds. These doubts could be anything from concerns about their form, whether their manager is good enough, or if their wife and kids are happy. Some of their teammates will not even know the real issues in their mind so the media and fans have no chance at knowing. And there is a very good chance that we will never know most of the issues. "The time to speak about many things will come," said striker Javier Hernandez on his Instagram account this week. It is a cryptic message and time will tell what he reveals, but if and when he does so, he will be in the minority. The Premier League right now is full of players going through mental battles. Yes, they have tremendous talent with a football and show you a strong side of them when they are on the field but what of the other times? A lot of things can happen in 6,410 hours - the amount of time between the start and end of a Premier League season. Only 57 of these are spent playing 38 games of Premier League football, less than nine per cent of the time. Yet, it is this time that many of us use when analyzing these individuals. It is, of course, the time we get to know them as we welcome them inside our living rooms, but for over 91 per cent of the time, these individuals are left to be as vulnerable as you or I and wed be foolish to not think what happens during this time doesnt have a substantial impact on what they do when playing. They are over analyzed and monitored by their clubs who hire men, who usually lose their job within two years, to get the best out of them as soon as possible. The pressure from that manager leaks to the players and leaves many to do things they wouldnt normally do. This is an example of insecurities being created by the sports culture. Clubs demand success, managers demand players to play at a high level and players are told they must deliver when the pressure is on. They are bombarded with information about their style and how they can be better but some are drowning in modern day over-professionalism and are losing their love for the sport. Last November I watched closely a battle between England and Australia in cricket and was left puzzled by the poor performances of a particularly England player who consistently seemed to play poorly. That player, Jonathan Trott, would go on to leave the tour and return home with a stress related illness. He was one of the minority who got help and, because he walked away from the series, allowed the public to see what demons he was battling in his personal life. Trotts case is the extreme and it would be wrong to assume many professional footballers have gone through something similar but it would naive to deny it completely. When we study the less than nine per cent of visual evidence we have on these players it is clear that many are not enjoying themselves enough. Manchester United have no chance at winning the league but instead of the club adopting a we are in a transition phase where we are experimenting to evaluate what we need to know to get better approach, the club is starting every match like it needs to win it and the enormous pressure placed on its players means they are not expressing themselves. How much better would they be if they were told to just forget the league table and have fun? Southampton have no such demands and have shown this season what a club can do when they are free to express themselves. Sure, they too could smile more but if a league table existed for content and happiness they would be at the top. Anyone who doesnt think this leads to success should talk to the current Brazilian coach Luiz Felipe Scolari. "My priority is to ensure that players feel more amateur than professional," Scolari once said. "Thirty to forty years ago, the effort was the other way. Now there is so much professionalism, we have to revert to urging players to like the game, love it, do it with joy." Anyone who watches Neymar often would say Scolari has so far accomplished that goal. Neymar would make a great Olympian; a true global superstar who plays with a smile. Too bad too many in the Premier League take it too seriously. Another win for modern day over-professionalism. Thankfully it isnt creeping into our childrens schools during Sochi 2014. San Diego Chargers Orlando Franklin Jersey . Sources tell TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun the international tournament will likely return in September 2016 rather than 2015. San Diego Chargers Stevie Johnson Jersey .S. international midfielder Michael Bradley. The club has already announced the signing of Defoe, with the 31-year-old Spurs star set to be unveiled at a news conference Monday morning at the huge high-tech sports bar owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment across the street from the Air Canada Centre.AVONDALE, Ariz. -- A few drivers, like Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano, raced onto the track to get in their qualifying sessions. Others waited, some nearly 10 minutes, before heading out for the first time. There were long stretches with almost no activity followed by mad scrambles to get runs in before time ran out. Cars raced past each other at close to a 100 mph difference. No doubt, this first round of NASCARs new knockout qualifying was a little strange and will take some getting used to. Brad Keselowski earned the first Sprint Cup pole under NASCARs new format, edging Joey Logano with a track-record top speed of 139.384 mph at Phoenix International Raceway on Friday. "Its a lot more nerve-racking," Keselowski said. "Usually a pretty good rule of thumb is that If its more nerve-racking for the drivers, its a lot more fun for our fans and partners and all those things, and thats a good thing. Im more interested in feedback from our fans to see if they liked it." Keselowski was one of the first drivers to go out in the first session and finished behind Logano. He trumped his teammate in the shorter, second session to earn his fourth career pole and a spot on the front row for Sundays 312-mile race. Jamie McMurray qualified third, defending Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson was fourth and Daytona 500 champion Dale Earnhardt Jr. will start fifth, next to Greg Biffle. "The qualifying format was before because I felt like I was one of those guys it was exciting for me because I wasnt in, I made another run, I got in," McMurray said. "The excitement was there." NASCAR made numerous changes for this season, including a tweaked qualifying process in an effort to liven up what had become a monotonous part of race weekend. Instead of going out one at a time, the entire field gets a 30-minute session to post their fastest lap, with the top 12 moving on to a 10-minute second round. On bigger tracks, the qualifying will have three sessions, with the field cut to 24 then 12. NASCAR got a glimpse of the new system at Daytona last week, but it didnt last long; the Nationwide series was able to get inn one round before rain washed out the rest of the qualifying and for the Truck Series. San Diego Chargers Jimmy Wilson Jersey. The Daytona 500 didnt use the new qualifying process, so Phoenix was the inaugural go-round. No one knew quite what to expect and there was a bit of concern about drivers intentionally blocking each other to prevent fast lap times, something NASCAR officials planned to keep an eye on. Instead, the action on the track was sparse for long stretches, with some drivers racing out to get qualifying laps in right away while several others waited several minutes to get their first lap in. One issue while there were multiple cars on the track were the speeds. NASCAR decided against allowing teams to have cool down units in their pit stalls, so most of the drivers in the field put in one fast lap and one that was much slower to cool their engines, creating differences of up to 100 mph between the cars. "Weve got a really good dialogue with all of our competitors," said Robin Pemberton, NASCARs vice-president for competition and racing development. "They dont want to force us to do something thats wrong. They weigh in because they think things can be better. Its our job to take and balance all that out and remove the agenda part of that a team may or may not have. Right now, its working pretty good." For the first session, Logano and Keselowski were at the front of the pack along pit road -- by random drawing -- and raced to get out in front on the track so theyd have a clear path. Logano put up the fastest time early and Keselowski was right behind him in second. Despite teams coming in for adjustments -- one crewmember was allowed to come over the wall to make minor changes -- those two stayed out front for the entire first session. For the final session, Keselowski put up his fast time relatively early in the 10-minute window and swapped places with Logano for the pole. "Unfortunately, we won the wrong one," Logano said. "We won the first one and our teammate got the second one, but either way we both had a chance to win something. He just got the trophy to take the pictures with." cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys wholesale jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys Etrit Berisha Jersey ' ' '

Johnson kept the Tar Heels in it early on by

Sao Paulo, Brazil (SportsNetwork. Mario Gotze Jersey .com) - Nico Rosberg claimed his 10th pole of the 2014 Formula One season after beating his Mercedes teammate and championship rival, Lewis Hamilton, by a slim margin in Saturdays qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix. Rosberg topped Hamilton for the pole with a lap in 1 minute, 10.023 seconds, which was only 0.033 seconds quicker than Hamiltons lap. Rosberg also broke the track qualifying record time of 1:10.646 here at the Interlagos circuit, set by Brazilian Rubens Barrichello in 2004. Heading into Sundays 71-lap Brazilian GP -- the penultimate race of the season -- Rosberg trails Hamilton in the world championship standings by 24 points. Hamilton has won the last five grand prix -- Italy, Singapore, Japan, Russia and the United States. Rosberg has been perfect this weekend in Brazil. He topped the time charts in the first two practice sessions, held on Friday, and again in final practice, which ran prior to qualifying. Rosberg was fastest in all three rounds of qualifying. Perfect job only if it works out (Sunday), Rosberg said. Up to now, of course, its been going well. This is the best place to be for tomorrow. But of course, I need to make it happen in the race, unlike Austin (U.S. Grand Prix), for example. In Austin last Sunday, Rosberg started on the pole, but Hamilton passed him for the lead just before the halfway point and went on to victory. A total of 75 points are up for grabs in the last two races. The winner of the Brazilian GP will receive 25 points, while the winner of the Nov. 23 season- ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will collect 50. Abu Dhabi will award double the amount of points for drivers and teams. This is the 11th time this season that Mercedes has started 1-2 in a grand prix. Qualifying was great fun, and Nico did a great lap, Hamilton said. I lost a little bit of timing in turn 10 (during final lap) and perhaps a little bit in turn 1. Thats what qualifying is all about, and it should always be that kind of gap, being that close. So it was really exciting, and I hope people enjoyed it. Williams Felipe Massa, a Brazilian, qualified third in front of his home crowd with a lap in 1:10.247. Its very emotional to be here in Brazil and to have a competitive car, starting in the top-three, Massa said. Massas teammate, Valtteri Bottas, took the fourth spot, followed by Jenson Button from McLaren and Red Bulls Sebastian Vettel, the four-time F1 world champion and winner of last years Brazilian GP. McLarens Kevin Magnussen qualified seventh, while Fernando Alonso from Ferrari, Red Bulls Daniel Ricciardo and Alonsos teammate, Kim Raikkonen, completed the top-10. For the second grand prix in a row, the field will feature 18 cars instead of 22 since Caterham and Marussia are both missing the race due to their current financial issues. Marussia ceased its operations earlier this week. Arjen Robben Jersey . -- Yu Darvish will be the opening day starter for the Rangers. FC Bayern Munich Jersey .With a teammate injured and out for the rest of the three-match series, Temba Bavuma will join the lineup if the team continues to use seven batsmen.South Africa has fielded only five black African players since it was readmitted to international cricket in 1991.Lexington, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Devin Booker and Willie Cauley-Stein each scored 15 points as top-ranked Kentucky remained undefeated with an 84-70 victory over No. 21 North Carolina. Aaron Harrison added 14 points and the Wildcats shot 56.3 percent from the floor in a performance far more impressive then Wednesdays lethargic 10-point home win over heavy underdog Columbia. Kentucky (11-0) also asserted itself on the defensive end, forcing 18 Tar Heel turnovers that it converted into 24 points, and was never seriously threatened for the majority of this high-profile battle of basketball blue bloods. Brice Johnson led North Carolina (6-3) with 15 points, though most of that total came the games early stages. Marcus Paige finished with 14 points in the loss. The Tar Heels entered Saturdays showdown fifth nationally in field goal percentage defense, but Kentucky scored at will all throughout a fast-paced first half to build a commanding 49-34 lead at the break. Johnson kept the Tar Heels in it early on by tallying 12 points on 6-on-7 shooting over the games first 12 1/2 minutes, including four during an 11-3 run that brought UNC within 22-19 with 11:29 left in the opening period. However, he picked up his second foul with just over eight minutes to go in the frame and went to the bench shortly thereafter, and Kentucky dominated the remainder of the half. The Wildcats outscored UNC 15-7 during the final 6 1/2 minutes of the stanza, highlighted by three straight treys ffrom Harrison that accounted for Kentuckys 15-point advantage at intermission. Pepe Reina Jersey. Kentucky went 6-for-12 as a team from 3-point range over the initial 20 minutes, while making 13-of-17 free throws as well with several Tar Heel players saddled with foul trouble. The Wildcats maintained a double-digit lead until an 11-2 UNC run, capped by Theo Pinsons 3-pointer with 10:22 remaining, cut the margin to 66-57. It was a 70-60 game after Paige knocked down a trey with 8:08 to go, but the Tar Heels went more than four minutes without a basket as Kentucky pulled away. Andrew Harrison fed Marcus Lee for an emphatic dunk on the ensuing possession, and Cauley-Stein threw down two slams shortly afterward as part of a 10-2 stretch that gave the Wildcats an 80-62 cushion with four minutes left. Game Notes The game featured two of the three winningest programs in Division I history, with Kentuckys 2,150 victories the most all-time and Carolina third with 2,120 ... Freshman Trey Lyles made his first career start for Kentucky in place of Alex Poythress, who tore his ACL in practice on Thursday ... Booker returned after sitting out the Columbia game with a sore knee. Teammate Tyler Ulis also played after missing the Wildcats last two outings due to illness and dished out a career-best eight assists... North Carolina shot 53.6 percent in the first half but went just 12-of-32 (37.5 percent) from the field in the second. cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys wholesale jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys Etrit Berisha Jersey ' ' '

and the one thing that stands out is winning.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Bruce Bochy remembered stressing out while watching Tim Lincecum labour through the final innings of his 148-pitch no-hitter at San Diego last July.Diego Costa Jersey . The Giants manager said there was "no chance" of stretching out his starter again Wednesday, even after Lincecum logged five hitless innings. Not with a blister forming on the tip of Lincecums middle finger. Not with the Giants owning baseballs best record. And certainly, not with more than half of the season to play. Instead, Lincecum and five relievers combined on a weird two-hitter to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 5-0 win over the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday. "He worked so hard out there. It was time," Bochy said. The unconventional performance included 10 baserunners -- five walks, two hits, two errors and a hit batter -- before an announced sellout crowd of 41,186 at AT&T Park that wanted to cheer history. Lincecum struck out five, walked four and hit a batter in another wild but effective start. George Kontos (1-0) retired four straight before John Baker singled through the right side of the infield with one out in the seventh against lefty Jeremy Affeldt for Chicagos first hit. The Cubs hold the longest streak in the majors without being no-hit. The last time it happened to them was 1965, when Sandy Koufax pitched a perfect game for the Dodgers. "Whats the cliche? Its a game of inches," Baker said. "I think the Chicago Cubs are proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that baseballs a game of inches." Hector Sanchez hit a two-run double, and three others drove in a run to help the Giants (34-19) extend the best record in the majors. San Francisco has won six of seven after holding the Cubs scoreless in consecutive games. Edwin Jackson (3-5) gave up two runs on four hits in 5 1-3 innings for the Cubs, who have not won a road series since last September. He struck out nine and walked two. But for most of a sunny afternoon along the bay, the focus remained on whether San Franciscos staff would complete an improbable no-hitter. Lincecum had a 32-pitch first inning that ended on Nate Schierholtzs sharp lineout to first baseman Buster Posey with runners on second and third. He tossed another 20 in the second and pitched a perfect third. The two-time NL Cy Young Award winner hit Schierholtz and overcame an error by shortstop Brandon Crawford on a grounder in the fourth. And after walking Emilio Bonifacio in the fifth, Lincecum got Junior Lake to ground into a double play. It was the second straight erratic outing for Lincecum. He walked six in six innings in San Franciscos 6-2 win over Minnesota last Friday. Lincecum said a tiny blister began forming on the tip of his middle finger in the third. He said its not serious, but he didnt want to risker further injury. And with a no-hitter on his resume already, he felt no need to lobby Bochy for another inning. "I think its just because I know what our bullpen is capable of," Lincecum said. "I just wanted to get the win today and put up some good numbers today, so it was good." Jean Machi got two outs on three pitches, Juan Gutierrez allowed a single to Anthony Rizzo in 1 1-3 scoreless innings and Javier Lopez recorded the final two outs in the ninth. San Francisco supplied support for the pitchers in the late innings. Pablo Sandoval and Tyler Colvin drove in a run in the sixth, and Sanchez hit a two-run double to highlight a three-run seventh that gave the Giants a 5-0 lead. Bochy said Sanchez will continue to catch Lincecum most of the season. He said the move is made, in part, to save Posey from the bumps and bruises that often come with catching Lincecum. "We have a good relationship," Sanchez said, "and we work well together." NOTES: Giants RHP Matt Cain, who missed his last start with a strained right hamstring, threw a bullpen session and is on schedule to make his next start Saturday at St. Louis. ... The Cubs have Thursday off before beginning a three-game series at Milwaukee on Friday. ...RHP Ryan Vogelsong (3-2, 3.20 ERA) starts for the Giants in the opener of a four-game series at St. Louis on Thursday. Filipe Luis Chelsea Jersey . The full extent of the injury wont be known for certain until Yakupov gets an MRI done upon his return to Sarnia. Yakupov, a potential first-overall pick for this Junes NHL Entry Draft and ranked first in TSN Scout Craig Buttons monthly draft ranking, had nine assists in seven games at the tournament. Andre Schurrle Jersey . Milan dominated possession but it was Catania which took the lead in the 13th minute against the run of play as poor defending eventually saw Lucas Castros effort deflected over stand-in goalkeeper Gabriel.MIAMI -- There was a moment of confusion Friday at the start of the Miami Marlins news conference to introduce newcomer Mark Buehrle, with team officials unsure whether he should first pose for photos. Following a brief discussion about how to proceed, president of baseball operations Larry Beinfest grinned. "Weve never done this before," he said. Actually, the Marlins added a succession of all-stars in the past week, with Buehrle the latest. After passing a physical, he signed a US$58 million, four-year deal reached Wednesday, capping a whirlwind spending spree by the heretofore frugal Marlins. "A fun and very productive week," Beinfest said. "This is a great way to end it." Along with Buehrle, the Marlins signed NL batting champion Jose Reyes and closer Heath Bell, and the three contracts totalled $191 million. There are more moves to come, with another starting pitcher the top priority, but the Marlins believe theyve already upgraded enough to compete with Philadelphia and Atlanta in the NL East. "Wed like to play tomorrow as is," team president David Samson said. Buehrle bolsters a rotation that struggled this year without ace right-hander Josh Johnson, who made only nine starts before being sidelined for the season by right shoulder inflammation. Johnsons expected to be ready for spring training, and he and Buehrle could form a formidable combination. "When you have a stud like Josh Johnson at the top of the rotation, its hard to beat," Buehrle said. "Im coming here just to try to fit in." But Buehrle will play more than a supporting role. Since his first full season in 2001, the durable left-hander leads the majors in games started and innings pitched while ranking fourth in wins with 157, all with the Chicago White Sox. "He was the primary free-agent pitching target," Beinfest said. "Its easy to understand why if you look at his accomplishments, and the one thing that stands out is winning. He just wins." A four-time All-Star, Buehrle went 13-9 with a 3.59 ERA this yeaar and won his third consecutive Gold Glove. Didier Drogba Jersey. He chuckled about being reunited with fast-talking manager Ozzie Guillen, who made the jump last month from the White Sox to the Marlins. "When hes talking to you, you kind of laugh and giggle, and when he turns around and walks away you look at everybody, Does anybody understand what he said?" Buehrle said. "Hes like one of the players. I love playing for him. Hes a great guy. He keeps everybody loose." The roster for Guillen remains under construction. On Friday the Marlins also designated for assignment right-hander Clay Hensley, who went 6-7 with a 5.19 ERA last year. One day after returning from the winter meetings in Dallas, team executives assessed their free-agent bounty and met to discuss what other moves they might make. "Were not celebrating anything yet," owner Jeffrey Loria said. "Theres nothing to celebrate. You celebrate in October. In December you try to put it together correctly." The Marlins were outbid this week for slugger Albert Pujols, the top free-agent prize, who signed a $254 million, 10-year deal with the Los Angeles Angels. The Marlins offered Pujols a 10-deal deal for slightly more than $200 million, but slugger Prince Fielder wasnt on Miamis shopping list, Samson said. "We never viewed Prince the way we did Albert," Samson said. "Albert Pujols is the best hitter of our generation. Theres Albert and then theres everyone else when it comes to that type of franchise-changing contract." Buehrles news conference took place across the street from the Marlins new ballpark, which is already generating revenue that made the teams spending binge possible. Thanks to the recent deals, business is brisk. Three times in the past week, the team achieved a new record for one-day season-ticket sales, Samson said. When Buehrle posed for photos, he held up a No. 56 Marlins jersey, and an hour later the same shirt went on sale at the Marlins souvenir shop. The team is spending like never before -- and making money, too. cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys wholesale jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys Etrit Berisha Jersey ' ' '

, died in November 2010 at the age of 58.

At the age of 46, Dominik Hasek was still playing hockey. Daniel Carvajal Real Madrid Jersey . He put on his goalie pads for the final time Feb. 27, 2011 in the KHL. At the age of 49, "the Dominator" is expected to be part of the class of 2014 at the Hockey Hall of Fame, which will be announced this afternoon on TSN2 at 3pm et/Noon pt. Though nothing is guaranteed, the six-time Vezina Trophy-winner should be a lock. "For me its a no-brainer," former Buffalo Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said earlier this year. Hasek won one Stanley Cup as a starter with the Detroit Red Wings in 2002, then split time with Chris Osgood and became the backup in the playoffs for the 2008 title. He came close to the Cup in 1999 with Buffalo, only to be beaten by the Dallas Stars on Brett Hulls foot-in-the-crease overtime goal. Haseks best years came with the Sabres, when he had seven straight seasons with a save percentage of .930 or higher. He finished with 234 career regular-season victories in Buffalo and 389 over his 16-year NHL career. Veteran goaltender Tomas Vokoun "knew all along" Hasek would be great from watching him play in their native Czech Republic. "It took him a little bit just because of his style and all that to convince people here," Vokoun said in a phone interview. "I definitely consider him, if hes not the best, one of the top three to ever play. ... He definitely deserves to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer." Swedish centre Peter Forsberg is also expected to get the call to the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. American-born centre Mike Modano leads the other new candidates and is the most likely to be inducted, ahead of three-time Cup-winner and first-ballot dark horse Mark Recchi. Forsberg, who began his career with the Quebec Nordiques following the blockbuster Eric Lindros trade with the Philadelphia Flyers, went on to win two Cups with the Colorado Avalanche. He finished with 885 points in 708 regular-season games as his career was cut short by foot injuries. With 1,374 points over 21 seasons, Modano became the most prolific American-born scorer in NHL history. Late coach Pat Burns remains a candidate in the "builder" category, a year after Fred Shero was posthumously elected 38 years after leading the Flyers to back-to-back Cups. Burns, a three-time Jack Adams Award winner as coach of the year, died in November 2010 at the age of 58. This is the first year John Davidson is serving as chairman of the Hockey Hall of Fame selection committee, replacing Jim Gregory. Bobby Clarke, David Poile and Luc Robitaille were appointed to the committee for the first time. Clarkes addition raised the question of whether Lindros would stand a better chance of being elected. Despite a contentious relationship with the Lindros family, the longtime Flyers general manager is considered a proponent of his Hall of Fame case. Lindros has similar numbers to Forsberg — 865 points in 760 games over 13 seasons — and won the Hart Trophy as league MVP in 1994-95. The three-time Canadian Olympian and world junior standouts resume isnt as Hall of Fame-worthy as Haseks. The goaltender is all but certain to be inducted Nov. 10. "I appreciate it, its very nice to be among all these big players," Hasek said recently when asked about impeding election to the Hall of Fame. "I appreciate to be one day, maybe, in the Hockey Hall of Fame, however ... it was never my goal when I was playing hockey." Luka Modric Jersey . Lately his team hasnt given him much to curse about. The Raptors have won four straight, nine of their last 12 games, and the NBA has taken notice, awarding Casey Eastern Conference Coach of the Month honours for December. Brayan Perea Lazio Jersey . Woodson led the Knicks to a 54-28 record last season and their first Atlantic Division title since 1994. He is 72-34 since taking over for Mike DAntoni late in the 2011--12 season, a . Marquinhos Paris Saint-Germain Jersey. 79 winning percentage that is second-best in franchise history. BRIDGEPORT, Conn. Stephen Hill Panthers Jersey . - Max Novak and Matt Hatch each scored two goals to help top-seeded Union beat Vermont 5-2 on Friday in the opening game of the NCAA East Regional. Mat Bodie also scored for Union, which came into the tournament as the nations top-ranked team for the first time in program history after winning the ECAC tournament for the third straight season. Kevin Sullivan added three assists and Daniel Carr had two for the Dutchman (29-6-4). Chris McCarthy had two goals for Vermont (20-15-3), which was making its first NCAA appearance since 2010. Union is 13-0-1 in its last 14 games. The Catamounts took eight penalties, and Union converted three times on special teams. The Dutchmen got on the board 4:15 into the game with a short-handed goal. Hatch went almost end-to-end unimpeded, skating down the right half-wall before cutting into the slot and beating goalie Brody Hoffman to the glove side. "That really got the bench going," Bodie said. "Special teams often dictate who wins and I thought our special teams did it tonight." --- CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Mark MacMillan deflected a shot into the goal with 1:44 to go, rallying North Dakota to a 5-2 victory over top-seeded Wisconsin on Friday night in the NCAA tournaments Midwest Regional. No. 3 North Dakota (24-13-3) will face second-seeded Ferris State in the final Saturday. Ferris State beat Colgate 1-0 in the other semifinal. The seven-time national champions got an at-large berth when Wisconsin (24-11-2) beat Ohio State for the Big Ten title, eliminating the Buckeyes. North Dakota then knocked out its long-time rival with three late goals. MacMillan deflected Brendan ODonnell shot from the right wing into the net -- the goal was upheld on review -- to break a 2-all tie. Rocco Grimaldi scored a pair of empty-net goals in the final minute. --- PROVIDENCE 4 QUINNIPIAC 0 BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Jon Gillies made 37 saves and third-seeded Providence beat second-seeded Quinnipiac 4-0 on Friday night in an NCAA East Region semifinal. Mark Jankowski, Anthony Florentino, Shane Luke, and Trevor Mingoia scored for Providence (22-10-6). The Friars led 1-0 after the first, and scored three second-period goals. Providence is making its 10th tournament appearance, but the first since 2001. It was the Friars first win in the tournament since 1991. The Friars will play top-seeded Union on Saturday in the regional championship game. Quinnipiac finished the season 24-10-6. This was in just the third NCAA tournament for the Bobcats, who lost to in-state rival Yale in last years national championship game. Quinnipiacs Michael Garteig made 22 saves. --- FERRIS STATE 1 COLGATE 0 CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Gerald Mayhew scored a power-play goal midway through the first period, and C.J. Motte made it stand up by turning away 35 shots Friday, leading Ferris State to a 1-0 victory over Colgate in the NCAA tournament regional semifinals. The second-seeded Bulldogs (29-10-3) advanced to the Midwest Regional final by pulling off their sixth shutout of the season, their fifth with Motte in goal. Colgate (20-14-5) had more shots on goal, but couldnt get one past the junior goaltender, who made two impressive stops during a power play in the third period. He also made a glove save on Spiro Goulakos slap shot with 1:37 to go. Colgates Tyson Spink was called for cross-checking with 57.9 seconds left, allowing Ferris State to finish it off on a power play. Kony Ealy Youth Jersey . And when it comes to overall depth, I dont believe that there has ever been a class as impressive as 2008. 28 of the 48 players chosen (58.3%) were still active CFLers as of the end of the 2012 season. Stephen Hill Womens Jersey . There have been a few challenges for Koe in the leadup to the competition, which opens Saturday at Beijings Capital Indoor Stadium. Chief among them is news that there are changes coming to his rink next season. As the bulk of fantasy football leagues enter playoffs this week, several of the games top performers have something in common besides putting up the most points.Theyre the value all-stars — players who were drafted more cheaply than the top options at their position. And theyre on more teams headed to the playoffs than any other players as Week 14 shifts largely toward a single-elimination tournament.Indianapolis quarterback Andrew Luck is on 15 per cent of fantasy playoff teams, according to data from CBS Sports leagues.Part of that is because hes the top scoring quarterback in fantasy with 286 points in standard scoring formats awarding 4 points per passing touchdown. But for his owners, hes even more valuable because he was the sixth quarterback drafted on average in Yahoo leagues, behind Atlantas Matt Ryan and Detroits Matthew Stafford. And Stafford is at the top of a less desirable list as the quarterback most often on fantasy teams that missed the playoffs — 9 per cent of teams out of the title hunt, according to CBS Sports. Here are some other players who proved themselves the most valuable breakout stars or biggest fantasy busts this season:___ANTONIO BROWN VS. BRANDON MARSHALLIn 12-team Yahoo leagues, it took an early second-round pick to land Marshall, the Chicago wide receiver known for getting a lot of looks from quarterback Jay Cutler. Brown was drafted about one round later, in the early third. But Brown is on 14 per cent of playoff teams while Marshall is on 10 per cent of teams that didnt make the fantasy playoffs in CBS leagues.Easy to see why: Brown has been the top wide receiver in the game with nearly double Marshalls yards while Marshall has been a middling second wide receiver, with fewer fantasy points than New Englaands Brandon LaFell and Cincinnatis Mohamed Sanu. Shaq Thompson Womens Jersey. .___LEVEON BELL VS. LESEAN McCOYPittsburghs Bell is on 13 per cent of playoff fantasy teams while McCoy of the Eagles is on 9 per cent of teams not in the playoffs, CBS said. Before the season, McCoy was in the debate as the No. 1 overall draft pick as Yahoo, ESPN and CBS differed between him, Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles.Bell, however, was the 13th running back off the draft board in Yahoo leagues. He wont be next year.___DeMARCO MURRAY VS. FRANK GOREIts hard to overstate how valuable Murray has been in fantasy leagues this year as the top running back. The Dallas runner averaged 15.8 fantasy points per game compared with 14.5 points per game for Marshawn Lynch, the No. 2 running back. Hes on 13 per cent of playoff fantasy teams, according to CBS.Gore was much more of a value pick as a sixth-round pick in 12-team leagues, yet hes on 9 per cent of teams that missed the playoffs.___EMMANUEL SANDERS VS. CALVIN JOHNSONDetroit wideout Calvin Johnson really put fantasy players in a bind this year: You dont just quit on a player as talented as him, even though he was out several weeks with an injury. Still, at some point you need players to come through, making it unsurprising that hes on 9 per cent of fantasy teams that didnt make the playoffs in CBS leagues.Denvers Sanders is on 12 per cent of fantasy teams that made the playoffs on CBS, and tied with Philadelphias Jeremy Maclin as the fourth-best fantasy wide receiver this year.___OTHER PLAYOFF ALL-STARS: Demaryius Thomas, Matt Forte, Maclin, Arian Foster.OTHER PLAYOFF DUDS: A.J.
