BOSTON -- Claude Julien, who led the Boston Bruins to the playoffs in each of his seven full seasons as coach, has signed a multiyear contract extension. Corey Kluber Indians Jersey . Julien coached the Bruins to the Stanley Cup championship in 2010-11 and is the longest serving coach in consecutive seasons in the teams history. Claude is one of the top coaches in the NHL and has consistently shown a passion for winning, general manager Peter Chiarelli said Sunday in announcing the signing. The length of the extension was not disclosed. Julien is in his eighth season with the Bruins and is the second-longest tenured NHL coach with the same team. Mike Babcock is in his 10th season with the Detroit Red Wings. Coaching is a difficult profession at the best of times and what Claude does in implementing structure in his systems, and having a solid defensive foundation while allowing freedom in offensive play is no easy task, Chiarelli said. During his time with the Bruins, he has excelled in maintaining this difficult balance, and his longevity here speaks volumes. Julien also led the Bruins to the Stanley Cup finals in 2012-13, but lost in six games to the Chicago Blackhawks. He has a 317-171-65 record with them and led the Bruins to the NHLs best regular-season record in 2013-14. Theyve been hurt by injuries to defencemen this season and are off to a mediocre start with a 7-6 record after Saturday nights 4-2 win over the Ottawa Senators. Juliens first job as an NHL head coach came in 2002-03 with Montreal. He coached the Canadiens for four seasons, not counting the lockout season of 2004-05. He spent one season coaching the New Jersey Devils in 2006-07 before being fired just before the playoffs then moved to the Bruins the next season. Custom Texas Rangers Jersey . -- Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston says Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher was on the money when he said that the Heisman winner might play two more years of college football. Jason Hammel Cubs Jersey . Henrikh Mkhitaryan opened the scoring in the 12th and Robert Lewandowski scored his 100th goal for Dortmund to secure the victory in the 43rd.SHANGHAI - Yuzuru Hanyus free skate at the Cup of China began with a scary crash with another skater in warm-ups that left him on his back on the ice, gasping for air and with blood streaming across his neck and face from a cut on his chin.Visibly shaken and with gauze wrapped around his head, the reigning Olympic and world champion from Japan decided to stay in the competition and struggled through his program, falling five times. He nearly won the title anyway.Maxim Kovtun of Russia landed just enough jumps to take the gold with 243.34 points, less than six points ahead of Hanyu in second (237.55).Hanyu was skating backward at a high speed during the warm-ups when he collided with defending champion Yan Han of China and went down hard on the ice. He lay for several seconds on his back before being helped up and receiving treatment from doctors. Both skaters returned moments later to compete with matching bandages on their chins.Yan tumbled on his opening two jumps and popped his third, eventually finishing in sixth place.Hanyus program appeared even worse, with falls on his quad salchow and quad toeloop at the start and three more spills toward the end. He was showered with stuffed bears and flowers from the crowd and then broke down in sobs when his scores appeared, showing him in first place.Kovtun followed with his program next, skating just cleanly enough to knock him down to second.Hanyu received stiches on his head and chin and was checked for a concussion after the competition. His coach, Brian Orser, said he would fly back to Japan on Sunday to receive further treatment.I know that tomorrow hes going to feel like he was hit by a car, he said. Both of these boys are going to feel awful.Orser said he allowed Hanyu to compete because he wasnt exhibiting any physical signs of a concussion after the crash — his eyes were clear and he was speaking normally, even making jokes. He was immediately determined he wanted to compete, and for me, I wanted to make sure he was healthy enough, he said. I told him, This is not the time to be a hero. You have to take care of yourself. The crash even had an effect on Kovtun, who said he couldnt concentrate on his own preeparations and put in a flawed performance. Dylan Bundy Orioles Jersey. When they suspended the warm-up, my coach tried to calm me down, he said. It was hard for me to pull myself together.American Richard Dornbush finished third. In the ladies competition, Russian Elizaveta Tuktamysheva won her fourth event of the season, while her countrywoman Julia Lipnitskaia fell apart in her free skate and slipped to second after leading following the short program.Tuktamysheva is starting to fulfil the promise she showed at the age of 12, when she broke onto the scene with a runner-up finish at the senior Russian championships. Although shes had some success since then, her progress has been slowed by injuries, growth spurts and inconsistent results. Now nearly 18, Tuktamysheva is finding confidence on the ice again — something she credited to her coachs decision to skate a heavy schedule of events this season.I felt it had to be this way. I had a long break and I needed to polish my elements and my programs in competition, she said.Lipnitskaia, the world silver medallist , fell on a triple salchow and never recovered. She put her hands down on a triple flip, popped two other triples, and didnt complete a triple-double combination. The 16-year-old still finished second ahead of Japans Kanako Murakami, but that was hardly a consolation.I dont really know what happened, she said. That was the worst skate of my life.In the ice dancing, Frances Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron won the gold after the reigning world champions, Anna Cappellini and Luca Lanotte of Italy, had a rare fall during their routine. Lanottes boot collided with his partners and he lost his balance and fell to the ice.It was really unexpected, Cappellini said. It hasnt happened to us in a long time to make a mistake like that in competition.American siblings Maia and Alex Shibutani led after the short dance but lost points on their rotational lift and other elements, finishing second, just ahead of the Italians.Chinas Peng Cheng and Zhang Hao took the gold in the pairs event, leading a Chinese sweep of the podium. Yu Xiaoyu and Jin Yang were second, followed by Wang Xuehan and Wang Lei in third. Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NHL JerseysWholesale Jerseys ' ' '

PITTSBURGH -- The injury-ravaged Pittsburgh Penguins keep winning. Todd Gurley Jersey . Sidney Crosby scored his 20th goal of the season Saturday, helping the Penguins win their season-high seventh straight game, 4-3 over the Calgary Flames. "Winning always makes things better," Crosby said. "Theres no secret there. It doesnt matter what team you play on, winning solves everything." The Penguins, who lead the Eastern Conference with 55 points, played without star centre Evgeni Malkin and five of their top six defencemen for the fourth straight game, but that didnt stop them from winning their 10th straight at home and picking up their 12th victory in 13 games. "We do our best to chip in and get through this," Crosby said. "Its not common, youre not used to being in this situation, but just having the mindset of going out there to outwork the other team has done us well." Crosby, who had a goal and two assists, extended his season-high points streak to 10 games. He leads the league with 54 points. Pascal Dupuis added his seventh goal of the season, Harry Zolnierczyk scored his first with the team and James Neal added a goal. Mike Cammalleri scored his first goal in nine games for the Flames. Jiri Hudler netted his 10th, and Paul Byron had the other goal. The Flames have lost four straight and six of their last nine. "We never quit," Flames coach Bob Hartley said. "We kept going at the net. With a little luck, maybe we could have gotten the tying goal. Its a tough loss to swallow." Pittsburgh jumped to a two-goal lead and went up 4-1 on goals from Crosby and Neal. But Calgary scored twice -- Cammalleri with 45 seconds left in the second period and Hudler 1:03 into the third period to make it 4-3. The Flames came up empty on an ensuing power play and continued to press for the tying goal. Their best chance came with 6:25 remaining when Joe Colborne hit the post to the right of goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, who won his 21st game of the season. "They had more than one good opportunity around our net, and certainly the one that went off the post," Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said. Despite all their injuries, the Penguins have been better than any other team in the league since Nov. 18, registering the most wins and points during that span. Theyve done it playing from ahead too as Pittsburgh has trailed for just 3:12 in its past nine games. Dupuis and Zolnierczyk scored 1:19 apart midway through the first period, staking the Penguins to another early two-goal lead. The Penguins are an NHL-best 17-3 at home and 22-2 when scoring first. Malkin, who injured his left leg last Saturday at Detroit, skated the past two days and could return after Christmas. Penguins defenceman Rob Scuderi (broken ankle) and forward Tanner Glass (broken hand) also could return soon during an upcoming stretch in which Pittsburgh plays seven of its next nine on the road. Additionally, Penguins defenceman Brooks Orpik passed a concussion test Friday and practiced for the first time since Dec. 7 when he was pushed to the ice by Bruins forward Shawn Thornton. Thornton, who punched Orpik while he was down, was suspended by the NHL for 15 games. The Flames, who just finished a five-game road trip, could be without two key players when they return to Canada for a five-game homestand that starts Monday against St. Louis. Assistant captain Curtis Glencross left early in the first period, injuring his left knee after an awkward fall into the boards. Glencross, who needed assistance to the dressing room, remained on the ice until the whistle, but couldnt put weight on his leg. Flames defenceman Kris Russell, playing in his 400th career game, also left in the third period with a leg injury. Hartley did not have an injury update after the game, noting both will be evaluated on Sunday. "The fact that they didnt come back is not good news," Hartley said. "Theyre two great leaders, but at the same time there is nothing we can do about injuries." NOTES: The Penguins signed backup goalie Jeff Zatkoff to a two-year contract extension. ... The Flames scratched Blair Jones, T.J. Galiardi and Christopher Breen; Brian Gibbons sat for Pittsburgh. ... Pittsburgh travels to Ottawa on Monday. Tavon Austin Jersey . According to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun, Brodeurs agent Pat Brisson has spoken to six teams so far regarding the veteran goaltender. Eric Dickerson Rams Jersey . PETERSBURG, Fla.IRVING, Texas -- Free agent linebacker Will Herring isnt joining the Dallas Cowboys after all. The team reported the signing on its website Thursday, but said Friday the deal was off in "a mutual parting of the ways that had to do with the language of the contract." Herring figured to be a promminent part of special teams for the Cowboys after the eighth-year player excelled in that role for New Orleans. Robert Quinn Rams Jersey. The 30-year-old Herring was with Seattle his first four years in the league before spending the past three seasons with the Saints. PHILADELPHIA -- Key contributions from bench players helped the Philadelphia Phillies put a winning streak together. Nacho Monreal Arsenal Jersey UK . Pinch-hitter Reid Brignac lined a tiebreaking, two-run double in the sixth inning, John Mayberry Jr. hit a three-run homer and the Phillies beat the San Diego Padres 7-3 to complete a three-game sweep Thursday in a game played in steady rain. Brignac, whose three-run homer in the ninth sent the Phillies to a 3-0 victory a night earlier, hit a drive off Dale Thayer to the gap in left-centre for a 4-2 lead. Mayberry connected an inning later off Alex Torres. Making a spot start for Ryan Howard, Mayberry also doubled twice. "Its definitely a game of momentum and I think with the way weve played these last few games, that can definitely carry over." Mayberry said. "I think from top to bottom, weve pitched well, had timely hitting and played good defence. Hopefully we can continue." Kyle Kendrick (2-6) allowed one earned and seven hits, striking out five in six innings. He earned his second win in 20 starts, dating to last year. The Phillies have their first three game-winning streak since May 17-20 and recorded just their second series sweep this season. Ken Giles made his major league debut for the Phillies with two outs in the ninth. He threw a 100 mph fastball on his first pitch before Yasmani Grandal hit an opposite-field homer on a 3-1 pitch. "I just go out and pitch. Whatever it says, it says," Giles said of the radar gun. As for the homer, Giles said: "It looked like a routine fly ball to the warning track to me." Welcome to hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park, kid. Padres starter Eric Stults (2-8) allowed four runs and eight hits in five-plus innings. Mayberry is batting .324 (12 for 37) with five doubles, three homers and 12 RBIs against lefties. Howard is hitting just .206 (12 for 63) with one double, four homers, 15 RBIs and 30 strikeouts vs. lefties. Manager Ryne Sandberg may have to consider a platoon at first, even though Howard is making $25 million per season through 2016 with a $23 million team option for 2017. "I see it pretty well (against lefties)," Mayberry said. "I think traditionally righties hit left-handers better obviously. Im just trying to take the same approach into every at-bat." Mayberry led off Philadelphias sixth with his second double. Domonic Brown lined a single to right on an 0-2 pitch, chasing Stults. Thayer came in to face Will Nieves, who hit a bouncer to third baseman Chase Headley. His high throw to the plate was in time to get Mayberry. Sandberg challenged the call, but a video review confirmed catcher Grandal tagged Mayberry before his foot touched the plate. Thayer then struck out pinch-hitter Howard. But Brignac followed with a shot to the wall to give the Phillies a two-run lead. Mayberry made it 7-2 with his fifth homer of the season in the seventh. Padres manager Bud Black won a replay challenge in the third inning when a video review showed Ben Revere was out at first base following a drag bunt. Jimmy Rollins hit an RBI single in Philadelphias first to move within two hits of breaking Mike Schmidts franchise record of 2,234. The Padres jumped on Kendrick for two runs in the first. Will Venable led off with a single and Everth Cabrera followed with a single, snapping an 0-for-23 slump. After Seth Smiths groundout, Headley hit an RBI double. Smith scored when right fielder Marlon Byrd bobbled the ball for an error and Headley went to third. Kendrick has a 9.00 ERA in the first inning and batters are hitting .393 against him. "I dont have an answer," Kendrick said. "Ive tried everything. Maybe next game I wont warm up." NOTES: Howard wasnt in the starting lineup vs. Stults, even though hes 2 for 2 with two homers off him. ... Kendrick became the first Phillies pitcher to draw a walk. ... The Padres lost for only the 12th time when having a lead at any point in a game. ... The Phillies open a three-game series against the Cubs on Friday night. Roberto Hernandez (2-4, 4.35) faces Chicagos Jake Arrieta (1-1, 2.50). ... The Padres open a three-game set at the Mets. Andrew Cashner (2-5, 2.13) goes against New Yorks Bartolo Colon (5-5, 4.31).Calum Chambers Arsenal Jersey UK . - Dwyane Wade isnt sure whether hell miss more games after leaving the Miami Heats victory over the Los Angeles Lakers late in the first half Tuesday night with a mild left hamstring strain. Granit Xhaka Jersey UK . Pretty soon he started hitting a few, and on Friday night he was a career-best 6 of 6 from behind the arc. Parsons scored 21 points and the Rockets picked up their fourth straight win, rolling to an easy 114-95 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.SOCHI, Russia – Not much has changed for Phil Kessel, other than the fact that hes stealing the Olympic hockey stage. "No difference at all," chirped U.S. roommate and linemate James van Riemsdyk. "Its still the same cranky Phil." An endlessly static personality, Kessel continued his 2014 domination on Sunday afternoon, racking up a hat trick in the Americans final preliminary round game against Slovenia, a thorough 5-1 victory at Shayba Arena. Currently the hottest player on the planet, the 26-year-old has already strung together four goals and seven points in three games on the Olympic stage. He entered Russian airspace in an absolute zone for the Toronto Maple Leafs, ringing up 11 goals and 27 points in the final 15 games (11 wins) before the Olympic break. In fact, no NHL player has more points since January 1 than the reluctant Madison, Wisconsin-born star. Kessel is the epitome of the never-high, never-low sports cliché, quiet and introverted in times both good and bad. Rooming during these Olympics with his Toronto linemate van Riemsdyk, Kessel has been consuming the Friday Night Lights TV series on his iPad during off-time from the rink. "We havent really had much dialogue in the room except when he wants to chirp me now and again," said van Riemsdyk with a laugh. "Its been fun though." American teammate Ryan Suter grew up in the same Wisconsin hometown as Kessel and said not much has changed. "Quiet," said Suter, whose father Bob coached Kessel as a kid. "The same as he is now. Doesnt talk much. Goal scorer. He was always scoring goals." But perhaps never like this.  During his first test on the Olympic stage four years ago, Kessel had juust a goal and an assist in six games. Laurent Koscielny Arsenal Jersey UK. But from that point he has noticeably evolved into a more complete player and person. "Just more mature," Suter said. "I think hes more comfortable with himself. I think in 2010 he was kind of a little hesitant to talk or to try things and now hes comfortable with where he is and hes making a lot of good plays." "Obviously its a great honour to play for your country and its always exciting," said Kessel. "Im happy to be here." Silver medalists in Vancouver, Team USAs chances for gold in Sochi only rise higher with Kessel locked into this kind of zone. They wrapped up Group A with the win over Slovenia after beating the Russians in a shootout just a day earlier. Kessel played a large part in that, scoring his second hat trick in February (he had one for the Leafs on Feb. 1). The second of his three markers was a watch, rewind and watch again type of goal, the kind only a sniper with his natural gifts could score. Joe Pavelski, the third member of a highly productive third line trio for the Americans, was driving just right of the Slovenian goal when he flipped a pass from almost behind the net to his scorching linemate, charging hard left. Employing the hand-eye coordination of a baseball player, Kessel batted the puck – mid-air – behind helpless keeper Luka Gracnar. "Just get him the puck," said van Riemsdyk. "Thats pretty much it, get him the puck and let him do his thing." "Hes always been a good player," added Suter. "Hes always been a goal scorer. Hes always been quick, explosive. Hes doing all the things that he should do. He has all the tools. Hes putting them together." Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NHL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '

Its always nice to get a two-goal lead, especially against that team. Its been a lot more fun being on the right side of the games (after a 10-23-4 start.) Its a good feel with our lineup. Guys know their roles and whats being asked of them and theyre contributing.Gerbe doubled the lead at 6:05, picking up the puck in the left circle and slamming it past Bishop stick-side following Brett Bellemores blast from the right point that tipped Elias Lindholm before ricocheting off the end boards.Paquette got the Lightning on the board at 14:05, the puck slowly sliding between Khudobins pads off the skate of defenceman Bellemore in a crowded crease.Faulk added a power-play goal for the Hurricanes on a blast from the high slot at 7:27 of the second. In this league any team can win on any given night, said Faulk, who was the Hurricanes sole representative in the All-Star Game on Sunday. I know thats kind of cliche, but what separates the best teams from the worst teams is who does it more consistently, who brings their game 60 minutes. When were able to go that we can get up there. Its nice to have a full, healthy lineup every night.Boyle got a short-handed goal for Tampa Bay with 5:54 left in the second, when he stole the puck from Victor Rask along the left boards and skated in untouched. But Tlusty scored on a rush from Faulk at 7:53 of the third.NOTES: Tampa Bay will host Detroit on Tuesday night, while Carolina will host St. Louis on Friday night ... main focus was always to be a No. 1 guy

OTTAWA -- With the Sochi Olympics just a few days away, Canada Post is launching commemorative stamps honouring freestyle skier Sarah Burke, curler Sandra Schmirler and figure skater Barbara Ann Scott. http://www.maillotdefrance.fr/ . The trio are being recognized as "pioneers of winter sports." A native of Barrie, Ont., Burke won four gold medals at the Winter X Games and was the first female skier to land a 1,080-degree spin (three full rotations) in competition. Halfpipe skiing, an event that Burke helped put on the map, is set to make its Olympic debut in Sochi. She died in January 2012 at the age of 29 after succumbing to injuries suffered while training in Utah. Schmirler skipped one of the most successful curling teams in Canadian history. The Biggar, Sask., native won three Canadian and three world championships between 1993 and 1997. In 1998, Schmirler and her team became Canadas first-ever Olympic gold medallists in curling. A member of the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame and the World Curling Federation Hall of Fame, Schmirler died of cancer in 2000 at the age of 36. Scott is the only Canadian woman to win Olympic gold for singles figure skating after her victory at the 1948 Winter Games. The Ottawa native also won world, North American and European championships. Known as "Canadas Sweetheart," Scott was named to the Order of Canada and Canadas Walk of Fame. She died in September 2012 at the age of 84. Maillot Hugo Lloris . Kane, who was leading Chicago in scoring when he was hurt in a game against St. Louis on March 19, resumed skating on his own five days ago. On Wednesday, he skated with his teammates for the first time in the hours before a game against Montreal.TORONTO – This was what Jonathan Bernier wanted all along. This is what he pined for as the backup in Los Angeles, stuck for years in the shadow of Jonathan Quick. And yet now that hes finally gripped hold of his first No. 1 job in the NHL, the 25-year-old knows that satisfaction is far from being attained. "Things can change," he said, mindfully. "You can be a No. 1 for 10 years and then next day, youre a backup. My goal is not to be a No.1 for a year or half a season, I want to be a good goalie for a long time, hopefully." Just 33 starts into that quest – by far the most of his NHL career – Bernier is off to a fine beginning. Starting for the 13th time in the past 17 games against the Lightning on Tuesday night, Bernier stopped 40 shots, including one of game-saving proportions on Martin St. Louis in the final moments. It was the kind of load-bearing performance that has become more norm than exception for Bernier, who is tied for sixth in the NHL in save percentage and fourth in even-strength save percentage among goaltenders with at least 20 starts. "When I got traded, I knew that was my chance to prove what I can do in this league," said Bernier, who is 5-1-0 in his last six starts. "My main focus was always to be a No. 1 guy and Ive still got a lot to learn, but I think Im moving towards that." He and James Reimer traded starts until mid-December before the crease eventually tilted in favour of the Laval, Quebec native. His performance month-to-month has rarely wavered – .933 save percentage in October, .923 in November, .932 in December and .915 so far in January. "I knnew Randy, the type of coach he was," said Bernier of head coach Randy Carlyle, "I knew I had to really battle to earn [the job] which is the good way. Maillot De Foot France Pas Cher. You dont want anything for free in life. [But] I didnt really focus on how many games I was playing, I think I was just focusing on getting better every day and every game and it just worked out that I started playing good and he kept me in." Maybe most notable in his year-long efforts has been his ability to withstand a nightly barrage of shots and chances, a far cry from the Kings, who were a constant amongst the NHLs best defensive teams. In fact, Bernier is facing 11 more shots per start this season with the Leafs (35) than a year ago in Los Angeles. He sits a sparkling 7-1-2 when challenged with 40 shots or more. "I think we can still improve as a team," he said honestly of the groups performance. "[Were] still giving up a lot of scoring chances, especially I thought last game wasnt our best one, but were coming out with wins. I think if we want to be successful in the playoffs – Ive been through that – youve really got to bear down defensively and be a good defensive team." Though the goalie competition has gradually evolved into a one-man job, Bernier understands that he is a long ways from proven as a No. 1 starter in this league. But he also carries a certain degree of pride and quiet confidence knowing that hes accomplished what he set out to do upon landing in Toronto. "Its not like I said yesterday I made it, Im a No. 1, I think youre just going day by day," he said. "Obviously, Im happy the way things turned out." Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NHL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '

OT Billy Turner CAROLINA PANTHERS AT NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Houston, TX (SportsNetwork. Aaron Ramsey Jersey .com) - Randy Bullock converted a franchise-record six field goals while Arian Foster threw a touchdown pass as the Houston Texans downed the Baltimore Ravens, 25-13, in Week 16 action. Case Keenum passed for 185 yards and was picked off once after completing 20- of-42 passes for the Texans (8-7), who guaranteed themselves at least a .500 season with their third win in the last four. Foster also racked up a game-high 96 yards rushing on 25 attempts while C.J. Fiedorowicz was the beneficiary of his scoring throw. .So did Crawford,

LOS ANGELES -- Joe Torre hopes baseballs expanded instant-replay system will be ready next season. Maliek Collins Jersey . The MLB executive vice-president spoke about replay on Sunday before the Los Angeles Dodgers hosted the Atlanta Braves in Game 3 of their NL division series. "Were not totally ready yet. Were getting closer and closer," Torre said. "Im pretty hopeful well have it set for next year." Managers would be allowed one challenge over the first six innings of a game and two from the seventh inning until conclusion. Balls and strikes would not be reviewable, and challenged calls would be settled at MLB headquarters in New York after replays are viewed. The issue of expanded replay came up during this series in the ninth inning of Game 2, which the Braves won 4-3. Dodgers pinch-runner Dee Gordon attempted to steal second base. Gordon thought he was successful, but Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons scooped up the ball on a throw from catcher Gerald Laird and made the tag in one motion. "I saw everything they showed me on TV and I know people were back in New York looking at stuff," Torre said. "They were not sure that when he caught the ball the glove didnt graze the uniform and then he reached back for him because he may not have known he tagged him (Gordon)." The retired manager of the Dodgers and Yankees was asked if hed be interested in replacing Bud Selig as baseball commissioner. "If they had asked me to do something for the game I certainly would listen, but I have no aspirations to be commissioner," said Torre, who is 73. "Ive got a significant job." William Perry Jersey . Sam Carrick and Jerry DAmigo, with an empty-netter, also scored as part of a three-goal third period that broke the game open for Toronto. Josh Leivo, Spencer Aboott and Jerrod Smithson collected two assists apiece in front of an announced crowd of 6,399 at Ricoh Coliseum. Dan Hampton Jersey . The team was in last place in the English Premier League, its roster filled with bloated contracts and egos.PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Madison Bumgarner grabbed four beers, tilted his head back and chugged like a champion. Then again, the San Francisco ace has plenty of practice. The Giants celebrating in a soaked clubhouse on the road? Must be October. Next stop: Washington.Bumgarner dominated the Pittsburgh Pirates in an 8-0 whitewash in the National League wild-card game on Wednesday night, tossing a four-hitter as the Giants advanced to best-of-five Division Series in Washington starting on Friday. If you dont want to pitch in these games, you probably need to find something else to do, Bumgarner said.No chance of the Giants doing that anytime soon. Theyve ended each even year this decade with a World Series title. The quest for a third to join the championships they captured in 2010 and 2012 began in familiar fashion, with a lights-out performance on the mound and enough offence to get by.We thrive in these situations, shortstop Brandon Crawford said. I dont know what it is. We just keep fighting no matter what the circumstance. The Giants won their eighth consecutive post-season game a€” dating back to the 2012 NL championship series when they rallied from a 3-1 deficit to stun St. Louis a€” and seventh straight with their season on the line a€” including the division series against Cincinnati that year. The memories of that run remain fresh in a clubhouse that seems to thrive once the games start to dwindle.Weve been through it before, a lot of this team has, Brandon Belt said. We used that experience tonight. We know when we get in these situations were going to have a good ballclub.San Francisco will need to rely on that experience when they face the red-hot Nationals. Washington won the season series with San Francisco 5-2, though it wont matter much when they square off in Game 1.Its a different time of year, Belt said. Its a playoff atmosphere. We know were a good team but so are they. We know weve got to go against them and not make any mistakes. The Giants didnt make any on Wednesday, not with Bumgarner doing his thing.Mixing his fastball with a slider and curve the Pirates rarely touched, Bumgarner was in complete control and looked very muuch like the ace who won 18 games during San Franciscos bumpy regular season. Robert Newhouse Jersey. We got outplayed tonight, Pittsburgh second baseman Neil Walker said. Bumgarner went out there, he did what he wanted to do. He put up the strike zone and he made it tough on us.So did Crawford, whose grand slam off Edinson Volquez in the fourth inning was the first in post-season history by a shortstop a€” and he wasnt aiming for the fences. With the bases loaded in the fourth and nobody out in a scoreless game, Crawford turned on Volquezs hanging breaking ball and sent it to right. Pittsburghs Travis Snider waited to play it off the wall. He never got the chance, instead slumping his shoulders as the ball landed a couple of rows deep to give the Giants a 4-0 lead that felt considerably larger.I was in shock a little bit, Crawford said.So were the Pirates, who never recovered. One night after Kansas City edged Oakland in a thrilling start to baseballs post-season, this one was over by the middle innings.Overpowering one of the NLs best lineups, Bumgarner walked one and threw 79 strikes in his latest stellar October performance. The big left-hander, who allowed only four singles, has thrown 15 scoreless innings in two World Series starts.Volquez was trying to cap his comeback season by sending Pittsburgh to the NLDS for the second straight year, but he couldnt match Bumgarner. The right-hander cruised until the fourth, when a pair of singles and a walk loaded the bases with none out. Hed retired Crawford 19 of the 22 times hed faced him during his career. Its the 24th that hell remember.I tried to bounce it down, back foot, and the ball just kept going, Volquez said. Bad spot. That was more than enough for Bumgarner. Pittsburgh, fourth in the majors in extra-base hits this season, rarely hit the ball hard.Bumgarner was helped by his defence, too. Third baseman Pablo Sandoval a€” all 245 pounds of him a€” flipped over the railing in front of the Pittsburgh dugout to track down a foul popup off the bat of Russell Martin.Sandoval landed on his feet, a perfect symbol of San Franciscos seemingly endless resiliency when October rolls around. Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NHL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '

Rasheed Sulaimon committed a hard foul on Eddy.

Durham, NC (SportsNetwork. Wholesale Jerseys .com) - Jahlil Okafor erupted for 25 points and 20 rebounds as No. 2 Duke stayed unbeaten with a 75-62 win over Elon on Monday. Okafor, considered by many as the nations top freshman, shot 10-for-14 and posted career highs in both categories. He recorded the first 20-20 game by a freshman in Duke history and became the first Blue Devil to accomplish the feat since Elton Brand in 1998. It felt great, said Okafor, who was celebrating his birthday. I felt like I was at home with my family. Amile Jefferson scored 13 points and Justise Winslow had 12 for Duke (9-0), which extended the nations longest home winning streak to 38 games. Luke Eddy paced Elon (5-5) with 16 points. After missing their first three shots, the Blue Devils made seven straight shots -- including four dunks -- to take a 15-2 lead. Okafor split a pair of free throws at the end of the first half, giving Duke its biggest lead at 36-21 heading into the locker rooms. The margin never dipped back into single digits in the second half, though Elon never felt out of the game. Dukes starters played until the final whistle, leading to a minor confrontation late in the contest. Tempers flared with 1 1/2 minutes remaining when Duke guard Rasheed Sulaimon committed a hard foul on Eddy. He received a technical in addition to a common foul during the scrum under the basket following the play. Okafor scored his 25th point on a gorgeous spin move just before that and subbed out just after to a rousing ovation from the fans at Cameron Indoor Stadium. My teammates were in my ear telling me to dominate, said Okafor. They wanted me to put up big numbers. That gave me a lot of confidence. Game Notes Duke started the season with nine straight wins by 10 or more points for the first time since 2002-03 ... Duke has won 114 straight non-conference home games ... The Blue Devils shot just 3-for-16 from behind the arc ... Elon has lost back-to-back games following a three-game win streak. Wholesale Jerseys China . Dzagoevs cross-shot was spilled out by goalkeeper Jun

CUIABA, Brazil -- Blundering Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev was bailed out by teammate Alexander Kerzhakov in a 1-1 draw with South Korea in the World Cup on Tuesday that exposed both teams deficiencies. Air Max Thea Femme Solde . Akinfeev had already looked suspect in dealing with long-range shots before spilling Lee Keun-hos speculative effort into his own net in the 68th minute, gifting South Korea the lead at the Arena Pantanal. Kerzhakov, though, came to Akinfeevs rescue by turning in a shot from close range six minutes later -- just three minutes after coming on as a substitute -- to earn Russia a point from a poor-quality Group H match. Akinfeev stayed on the ground inside his own net, head in his hands, after making his error, clearly embarrassed after dropping what was a routine save from a shot from about 30 yards. He was consoled by a couple of teammates, who patted him on the back. "It was a kids mistake," Afinkeev said. "The goalkeeper of the national team shouldnt make mistakes like this one." Russia coach Fabio Capello has remained loyal to Akinfeev this season despite some patchy form, and stood by him again. "He is a great goalkeeper," Capello said. "There can be mistakes, of course -- some can get a penalty wrong ... and its logical for a goalkeeper to make a mistake as well. "We were able to make up for that and we can accept a mistake by a great keeper like Akinfeev." The explosive six-minute spell that featured both goals was not in keeping with the rest of a fairly mundane game characterized by slow build-up play, poor passing and wayward finishing. A point leaves both teams behind Belgium, which beat Algeria 2-1 earlier Tuesday, but the group appears wide open based on the opening two fixtures. Having lost four of its last five games heading to Brazil, the South Koreans came into their eighth straight World Cup with concerns over their flimsy defence and a lack of goal threat. A 4-0 thrashing by Ghana in a warm-up in Miami last week highlighted those worrying deficiencies perfectly. There was no hiding their toothless attack here, either, with the experienced Park Chu-young starting as the lone striker but justifying fears that he has lost his way after three ineffective years with Arsenal in the English Premier League. He was substituted in the 56th and his replacement, Lee, scored South Koreas goal. Russia, led by former England coach Fabio Capello, was just as lifeless in attack -- at least until Kerzhakov and Alan Dzagoev came off the bench -- and too functional in midfield. A dire first half was marked by the large contingent of Brazilian fans in the crowd doing slow hand clapping but South Korea coach Hong Myung-bo was satisfied by what he saw. "In such a tournament, the first match is the most difficult," Hong, who captained the nation to the semifinals of the 2002 World Cup, said through a translator. "There is a lot of pressure on it so I thought the players played very well." Save for a shot by Son Heung-min that flew over the bar in the 39th when the forward was free at the edge of the area, there was barely a chance created in the first half. Capello stood with his hands on his hips in the technical area throughout the first 45 minutes, looking distinctly unimpressed. There was a major improvement after the break, although it required the mistake by Akinfeev to really get the game going. However, South Korea couldnt hold on and when Dzagoevs cross-shot was spilled out by goalkeeper Jung Sung-ryong and defender Hwang Seok-hos clearance went straight at Andrei Yeshchenko, Kerzhakov was on hand to bundle home from inside the six-yard box. "I thanked them for their reaction," said Capello, who turns 68 on Wednesday. "It was the greatest birthday present I could receive." Air Max 90 Essential Bleu . Uruguays soccer federation said it planned to appeal the ban, which prohibits striker Luis Suarez from all soccer activities for four months. The ban also covers Uruguays next nine international games, which rules him out of next years Copa America. Adidas Zx Flux Weave Pas Cher . On a 96-degree day, Los Angeles 2-3-4 hitters -- Mike Trout, Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton -- combined to go 7 for 13 with six runs batted in and two scored in the Angels 10-7 win over Texas on Sunday.SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- DeMarcus Cousins had 31 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 99-88 preseason victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night. Clippers coach Doc Rivers sat starters Blake Griffin, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan for the entire game. The Clippers (2-1) play Tuesday night in Phoenix, their third exhibition game in four days. Cousins had 25 points and nine rebounds as the Kings (2-1) took a 56-47 halftime lead. He added six points in the third quarter when the Kings outscored Los Angeles 26-18 and took a 17-point lead into the foourth. Nike Air Max 90 Essential Soldes.
