MILWAUKEE -- The fan wanted a hug. Cheap Jerseys From China . Derek Jeter just wanted to get out of the way. Jeter calmly eluded a fan that tried to meet him in the sixth inning of the New York Yankees 5-3 victory against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night. Masahiro Tanaka pitched into the seventh and Yangervis Solarte hit a three-run homer for the Yankees, who have won three straight and four of six. It was New Yorks first game in Milwaukee since 2005, and it took a surprising turn when a guy jumped out of the left-field stands and walked briskly toward Jeter at shortstop in the sixth inning. Jeter didnt appear to notice the fan at first. Jeter, who plans to retire after this season, took a few steps away as several security guards rushed in to tackle the person. Jeter said the guy, who was wearing a Ryan Braun jersey and white bandana, didnt appear threatening. "His face was calm," Jeter said. "He was saying he wanted a hug. I was thinking I wasnt going to hug him. That was pretty much it. It happened pretty quick. I didnt even see him until he got past the third-base line." Jeter warned the guy he had made a big mistake. "I told him, Youre going to get in trouble," Jeter said. "Then he repeated that he wanted a hug. I said, Look out." Thats when several security guards flattened the guy and then hauled him away. "If you saw his face, he wasnt coming out there with anger," Jeter said. "So, no, I wasnt scared." But Yankees manager Joe Girardi was worried about Jeter. "I was like, Derek, move," Girardi said. "Derek just kind of stood there. Obviously, he didnt feel threatened. Its not what you want because you never know what people are up to. Its an unfortunate part of the game." Tanaka (5-0) allowed two runs and seven hits in his first interleague game. The Japanese right-hander struck out seven and walked one. Tanaka also struck out in each of his first three major league at-bats. Yovani Gallardo (2-2) matched Tanaka pitch for pitch until New York scored four times in the fourth on four hits, highlighted by Solartes second home run of the season. Carlos Beltran walked and Brian McCann singled before Solarte hit Gallardos first pitch, a cutter, over the right-field wall. "Thats whats frustrating about this game," Gallardo said. "You have to stay away from the big inning." Solarte leads the Yankees with 18 RBIs. He signed a minor league deal in January and then played his way onto the major league club with a strong spring training. "Hes obviously had a great first five or six weeks," Girardi said. "Hes played well and he deserves to be out there." The Yankees tacked on an insurance run in the eighth inning. Beltran hit a leadoff double against Brandon Kintzler, and Ichiro Suzuki then came in to run. Suzuki stole third and scored on Mark Teixeiras roller down the first-base line, making it 5-2. The Brewers got on the board in the sixth. Carlos Gomez and Scooter Gennett started the inning with consecutive doubles, and Jonathan Lucroy followed with an RBI single. Tanaka then got Aramis Ramirez to ground into a double play and struck out Mark Reynolds. Gallardo was impressed with Tanaka. "He kept the ball down in the zone and he was moving the ball around," Gallardo said. "He was pretty good at keeping our guys off balance." Adam Warren took over for Tanaka after he put runners on the corners in the seventh. Warren struck out pinch-hitter Lyle Overbay and Logan Schafer was cut down while trying to steal second. David Robertson allowed Reynolds sixth homer in the ninth, but struck out the side for his sixth save. Milwaukee has lost three straight and seven of nine since getting off to a hot start. The Brewers are playing without Ryan Braun, who has been sidelined by a right oblique strain. Jeter received a loud round of applause from the near sellout crowd of 40,123 when the starting lineup was announced and again when he batted in the first. SAN DIEGO -- Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers still have Eli Mannings number. cheap jerseys . Not the one briefly issued to Manning at the 2004 NFL draft, of course. Just another victory against him. Rivers found rookie Keenan Allen for two of his three touchdown passes, and the Chargers beat Manning and the New York Giants 37-14 on Sunday. The Chargers (6-7) kept alive their long-shot playoff hopes and helped eliminate the Giants (5-8) from the playoff picture. "If you said we were going to be one game out of a playoff berth with three games to play, it wouldnt be ideal but I think we would sign up for that," said Rivers, who led the Chargers to just their second win in the last six games. Manning dropped to 0-3 against San Diego since 2004, when the Chargers took him with the No. 1 overall draft pick and then sent him a short time later to the Giants for Rivers and a handful of draft picks. Manning was booed all day by fans who still remember the sleight they felt when Archie Manning, in the days before that draft, asked the Chargers not to take his son. And now the Giants are out of the playoff hunt. "Thats not what the goal was," Manning said. "This organization and this team expects to make the playoffs and be in contention for championships and obviously to know that with three games to go, its disappointing. Todays loss was a tough one." The Chargers felt they played their most complete game of the year. They rushed for 144 yards, including 103 yards on 29 carries by Ryan Mathews. New York cornerback Jayron Hosley said the Chargers "came out fighting and came out ready to play. We came out kind of flat. We started to pick it up at times, but we took too many blows." Said Allen: "I think we got on top of these guys pretty early and put them out their misery. They didnt really want to play anymore." Manning was picked off twice, the first time when Donald Butler came up with a deflected pass midway through the first quarter. Three plays later, Allen got open for a 43-yard play that he completed by lunging for the pylon for the score. Allen had three catches to push his season total to 61, breaking LaDainian Tomlinsons team rookie record of 59 in 2001. Rivers was 21 of 28 for 249 yards before being replaced by Charlie Whitehurst with more than five minutes left. Manning was 20 of 32 for 259 yards, with one TD. Allen also had a 4-yard TD catch and Danny Woodhead grabbed a 6-yard scoring reception. Manning also lost to the Chargers in 2005, when Drew Brees was still their starting quarterback, and in 2009, when Rivers threw three touchdown passes, including a last-minute, game-winner to Vincent Jackson. Asked if the fans affected Manning, Giants coach Tom Coughlin said: "I dont think so at all. I think their team affected us." New York lost for just the second time in seven games following an 0-6 start. The Chargers are tied with the New York Jets, one game behind Baltimore and Miami in the race for the second AFC wild-card spot. The Chargers visit Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos on Thursday night. The Broncos beat the Chargers 28-20 on Nov. 10. Allen was hurt while making a 12-yard catch late in the first quarter and went into the locker room. He returned late in the second quarter and caught his second scoring pass to give San Diego a 17-0 lead. Allen said he had an X-ray on his shoulder, which was negative, and then got a pain-killing shot before going back into the game. "My shoulders fine," he said. "I just fell too hard, just trying to dive and get away from the contact but I ended up hurting myself." A 36-yard field goal by Nick Novak and Rivers TD pass to Woodhead -- which was set up by Marcus Gilchrists recovery of Andre Browns fumble -- helped the Chargers take a 24-0 halftime lead. The Chargers blew a 24-0 halftime lead to Peyton Manning and the Broncos last year, but werent about to do to same to Mannings little brother and the Giants. Rivers was sacked by Justin Tuck and fumbled on the first possession of the second half, with Cullen Jenkins recovering at the 18 to set up Peyton Hillis 1-yard scoring run. Rivers appeared to injure his neck when he dove for the loose ball but stayed in the game. Mathews scored on a 1-yard run to cap an 11-play, 80-yard drive that was all on the ground except for a pass from Rivers to Vincent Brown that drew a 36-yard pass interference call against linebacker Spencer Paysinger. Manning threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Myers and Novak added field goals of 27 and 43 yards, all in the fourth quarter. Numerous reports say the 2007 World Cup-winning lock, who has played 110 tests for South Africa, will end his two-year retirement to again represent the Pretoria-based Bulls in Super Rugby from next month. He will be 37 in May. Matfield may also be considered for the Springboks, with national coach Heyneke Meyer a former coach of Matfield at domestic level with the Bulls and a big fan of the second-rower. Neither the Bulls nor the South African Rugby Union are commenting on a possible return for Matfield but he has been photographed training with the Bulls playing squad at a preseason camp, strengthening speculation over a comeback which was first rumoured in 2012, when Meyer indicated that Matfields return would be welcome. Meyer has also recently shown his willingness to recall veteran players to the national team, although none as old as Matfield, who is a member of the Bulls coaching staff. While Matfields ability as one of the best lineout forwards to play was still undisputed when he retired at the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand, he is risking diminishing his legacy as a great if hes unable to match those towering standards when he returns to the highest levels of the physically demanding sport after a long absence. "If (Victor) can play as he has in the past, it will be good news for Southh African rugby, but at his age it just gets harder and harder to compete at the same level," former South Africa lock Mark Andrews, a 1995 World Cup winner, told Die Burger newspaper. cheap nfl jerseys. "And the 2015 Rugby World Cup is a long way away." Matfield could surpass Johan Ackermann as the oldest Springbok in the modern era if he plays for South Africa in the southern hemispheres Rugby Championship, which starts in August. Ackermann, the coach of the Johannesburg-based Lions, was also 37 when he played his last test in 2007. Ackermann backed Matfields return, even for the next World Cup in Britain, when Matfield would be 38. "Matfield is fit, athletic and his experience will add great value to the Springboks," Ackermann told the Afrikaans-language Die Burger. "I believe he is definitely still in Heyneke Meyers Springbok plans. He offers Heyneke security going into next years World Cup and is an ideal player to fall back on." Yet there was also a warning from Ackermann that Matfield shouldnt hold up younger players, something that led to criticism of the national team and former coach Peter de Villiers when former captain John Smit was picked at hooker at the end of his career ahead of Bismarck du Plessis, who was widely considered to be a better player at the time. Some argue that the Springboks should be developing a partnership between young locks Eben Etzebeth and Pieter-Steph du Toit for the World Cup rather than gambling on Matfield. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys ' ' '

This is not about being first.

GREEN BAY, Wis. Ryan Bertrand Jersey . - With four NFC North titles and a Super Bowl victory in the past decade, Ted Thompson has had quite a run as Packers general manager. Thompson sees no reason to stop now, even as retirement age nears. The team announced after practice Wednesday the signing of Thompson to a multiyear contract extension. "The more you think about it, the more you think how nuts are you that youd walk away from something like this," Thompson said. "To get a chance to continue to do that after you put all the chips on the table, theres very little choice there. I want to be here." Terms of the deal were not announced. Thompson didnt comment on the specifics, either. "No. Im not a very specific guy," he said when asked if could be more specific about his contract, drawing laughs from reporters. Extending coach Mike McCarthys contract appears to be the next decision. Both the general manager and coach last signed extensions in 2011, within about a month after the Packers won the Super Bowl. "Big priority. Its been the plan the whole time," Thompson said about an extension for McCarthy. "The way the organization is set up ... its the way its always been done here. The general manager kind of gets put away and then you do the head coach." Thompson, 61, took over in 2005; McCarthy was hired in January 2006. "We anticipate each others thoughts often, which might drive both of us crazy sometimes, but I think its working well and has worked well," Thompson said. Thompson missed the NFL meetings in March for a personal matter. He appeared energized last week in addressing the annual Packers shareholders meeting. He might make a few more short trips home to go see family in his home state of Texas, though Thompson had no plans to delegate authority. He professed a continued love for scouting. Thompson doesnt have a timeline for how much longer he wants to work. "His outstanding work has been the key factor in the success that weve enjoyed in recent years," team president Mark Murphy. Thompsons deal is the second high-profile extension announced by the club in the opening week of camp, following the deal signed by top receiver Jordy Nelson on Saturday. They are among the highlights of what has been a smooth start to camp so far — though both McCarthy and Thompson bristled slightly when asked about the lack of distractions. "Thats me knocking on wood because you said something like that, jinxing it," said Thompson after knocking on the podium. "You never talk about your good fortunes." Also: IN AND OUT: Starting safety Morgan Burnett sat out some of practice Wednesday with what McCarthy called a "tweaked" ankle, though the injury didnt appear serious. Burnett remained on the sideline while Micah Hyde and first-round draft pick Ha Ha Clinton-Dix got a few looks with the first team as the safety duo in red zone drills. Linebacker-defensive end Mike Neal practiced for the first time after watching the first few days with an abdominal injury. Inside linebacker Jamari Lattimore also returned after sitting out a few days because of illness. Guard T.J. Lang (shoulder) took part in position drills. IN THE HOUSE: McCarthy singled out fourth-year cornerback Davon Houses start to camp. He is part of what is looking like a deep position group in the secondary, especially with Casey Hayward at full speed from a hamstring injury that limited him last season. Sam Shields and Tramon Williams are the starting corners. RED ZONE: Nelson caught a couple of touchdowns during two-minute drill practice, including one from a scrambling Aaron Rodgers around the right edge that had the pass rushing Julius Peppers yell out in frustration. "The biggest thing when you get out there in two minutes is that youre a little ahead of the game because weve been going no-huddle since Day 1, so a lot the mechanics" carry over, McCarthy said. Nacer Chadli Jersey .J. Watt and the Houston Texans. Ben Roethlisberger passed for two touchdowns and wide receiver Antonio Brown added another on a gadget play during a decisive surge late in the first half, helping the Steelers rally for a 30-23 win over the mistake-prone Texans on Monday night. Jack Butland Jersey . The extension is worth $2.625 million per year, according to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie.CLEVELAND -- Lucky in the NBA lottery, the Cavaliers are hoping their good fortune continues as they look for a new coach. The team asked the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday for permission to speak with assistant coach Alvin Gentry about Clevelands coaching vacancy, a person familiar with the situation told the Associated Press. Gentry, who has coached four other franchises, has not yet set up a meeting with the Cavs, said the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because the team is not commenting on its search. The sides are working through some details, and are expected to meet in the next few days. Earlier this week, the Cavs defied long odds to win the draft lottery for the second year in a row and third time in four years. Cleveland is seeking its third coach in three years after Mike Brown was fired -- for the second time by owner Dan Gilbert -- last week following a 33-49 season. Gentry worked previously in Phoenix with Cavaliers general manager David Griffin, who said there is no timetable to hire a new coach. "We do not feel this is a race," he said. "This is not about being first. This is about getting it right. At the same time, if the right candidate did meet the criteria that we set out and is available and is as interested in us as we are in them, we would act on it at the time it presented itself." The Cleveland Plain Dealer was first to report the Cavs intentions to interview Gentry. The Cavs are not limiting themselves to coaches with pro experience and are expected to reach out to college coaches. Having the No. 1 overall pick has certainly made them a more attractive destination. Jordan Lukaku Belgium Jersey. However, Gilberts penchant for firing GMs and coaches would have to make any candidate at least hesitant about coming to Cleveland. Brown was told to make the Cavs better defensively, and did so as the team went from last in the league in defensive field-goal percentage to 12th. Still, that wasnt enough as Cleveland missed the playoffs for the fourth year in a row. Gentry has solid qualifications and is believed to be a candidate for other openings. He has a 335-370 record in 12 seasons with Miami, Detroit, the Clippers and Phoenix. He led the Pistons and Suns to the post-season. Griffin said he hopes to find a coach more attuned to his offensive roots. With the team expected to land one of the best players in what is considered a deep draft along with All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving and guard Dion Waiters, the Cavs could have the core for a high-scoring team. "Ive had a primarily offensive based focus with the people I was raised by," Griffin said. "And I think its fair to say the Cavaliers have had a defensive focus. What excited me most about coming here is that I believe you find the truth in the middle. No franchise thats incredibly well run is all one thing. We need to find a way to speak to the best of all parts of the offensive background I know, the defensive background thats dyed in the wool of this franchise. "Ownership believes in defence, I believe in offence, and theres a truth in the middle. Were going to find that." ------ AP Sports Writer Jon Krawczynski in Minneapolis contributed to this report. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys ' ' '

I keep my fingers crossed that the coaches voted him in

JERSEY CITY, N. Joakim Nordstrom Jersey Black Friday .J. - Peyton Manning counts $17.5 million against the Denver Broncos salary cap this season. For less than double that, the Seahawks pay for their entire starting defence. With some expert drafting and a few selective forays into free agency, Seattle built a dominant unit thats also inexpensive, with the starting 11 costing under $34 million. Its a young defence, too, and thats a major reason its so affordable. Of the 18 players who have started at least one game this season, six were drafted by the Seahawks in 2011 or later, which means theyre still on their very reasonable rookie contracts. Where Seattle has spent money is on the defensive line, because depth there is a major priority. Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett were signed as free agents during the off-season for an $8.5 million tab; neither is expected to start in Sundays Super Bowl, but both are key parts of the rotation. "The nice part about working here is we have a real style about how we want to play," defensive co-ordinator Dan Quinn said. "They know how to bring the players in." After coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider were hired in early 2010, one of their first big moves was to trade for Chris Clemons. They wanted him for the "LEO" defensive end position in their hybrid 4-3 defensive scheme, the weakside rusher who sometimes plays with his hand off the ground. Their style has allowed the Seahawks to find great value with players who might not fit into many other teams systems. Length and speed are attributes Quinn covets at all positions, confident the coaching staff can develop guys with raw skills into productive starters. Never was this truer than the 2011 draft. The Seahawks had seven picks in the final three rounds and used all but one on defensive players. "Overall, I think we were able to really improve the athleticism and speed of our team and then we were able to do some things up front from a strength and toughness standpoint," Schneider said that day. He would prove to be right. Seattle got its two current starting cornerbacks in the fifth (Richard Sherman) and sixth (Byron Maxwell) rounds. The Seahawks also added two linebackers who have started this season: K.J. Wright in the fourth and Malcolm Smith in the seventh. For all the late-round success, Seattle also hasnt whiffed when taking defensive players at the start of the draft. The Seahawks two defensive first-round picks in the last five years are both starters: linebacker Bruce Irvin (2012) and safety Earl Thomas (2010). But whats been crucial, Quinn said, is a franchise philosophy to give players an equal chance no matter how much theyre paid. "Lets not worry about where they were drafted or how they got here," he said. "How far can we take them?" Team Canada Hockey Jersey Black Friday . Hardesty hasnt played since getting hurt on Oct. 30 in San Francisco. Browns coach Pat Shurmur says Hardesty will start if he can play. On Sunday, backup Chris Ogbonnaya ran for a career-high 115 yards in Clevelands 14-10 win over Jacksonville. Carolina Hurricanes Jersey Black Friday . Utility player Joe Mather was designated for assignment. With the emergence of Jordan Schafer as the Braves centre-fielder and leadoff hitter, manager Fredi Gonzalez said McLouth would play in left while Martin Prado recovered from a calf infection.TORONTO - For the second time in less than a month, Kyle Lowry heard MVP chants rain down at him as he stepped to the line nearing the conclusion of yet another remarkable performance. "Yeah, [I heard them]," he said. "They made me miss the free throw." A year ago, Lowrys post-game antics may not have been so well received but what was snide and snarky is now endearing quick wit. The sound he heard as he missed that free throw was less about his candidacy for an award nobody actually expects him to win - though he has been the Raptors MVP - than it was a sentiment of appreciation. Often misunderstood, Lowry has finally found something in Toronto that had eluded him for seven seasons prior. Lowry has found a team that fits him like a glove, a locker room filled with players who hang on his every word and a city that is ready to embrace him as their own. Lowry has found a home. "Im just playing," said the Raptors point guard, after eclipsing 30 points for the second straight game - the first time hes accomplished that feat as a pro - carrying his team to 98-83 wire-to-wire win over the Magic on Wednesday. "My team, they expect me to do a certain thing every night and when you go out there and play for these guys that give you everything they got in this locker room, you dont want to disappoint them." Lowry had scored 31 in Mondays thrilling victory over the Nets. Two days later, it was a near triple-double, a season-best 33 points to go along with 11 assists and seven rebounds. All of this without Torontos leading scorer. DeMar DeRozan continues to sit out, nursing a sprained left ankle that is steadily improving, according to the Raptors guard. On Wednesday, he watched from the locker room because, as he insisted, he couldnt bare to be a well-dressed spectator on the Raptors bench. What he saw was a team that has come together in his absence and a player, in Lowry, who has taken his game to a whole new level. By the end of the first quarter, Lowry had 17 points, perfect on all five of his three-point attempts. The Raptors, as a team, connected on their first nine treys, making 11 of 14 in the opening half. When his team made their way to the locker room at intermission, Lowry had scored or assisted on 12 of the Raptors 17 field goals in his 18 first-half minutes. The lead was 15. "Hes stepped it up," coach Dwane Casey said of his point guard. "He set the tone in the first half with his threes, just his aggressive play means a lot." He seemed to brring out the best in everybody. Chicago Blackhawks Jersey Black Friday. . Amir Johnson had his best game in well over a month, scoring 22 points and adding 11 boards. Jonas Valanciunas, who was named to the Rising Stars game at All-Star Weekend earlier in the evening, recorded his 16th double-double of the season with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Lowrys fingerprints were all over the teams effort. "You cant say enough," Casey continued. "I just hope, I keep my fingers crossed that the coaches voted him in [to the All-Star game] because he deserves it. Hes one of the best point guards in the league right now." Lowry has made his case loud and clear - though both 30-point performances have come after the coaches ballots for All-Star reserves were collected on Sunday - and his fate will be revealed on Thursday. The 27-year-old leads the East in assists in January, averaging 8.3, hitting more threes (49) than any player in the league, shooting them at a 46 per cent clip and leading his team to their second consecutive winning month. On Monday, he became the first player this season to record at least 30 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals in a game, a feat that was only accomplished by LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant last year. You have to go deep into the franchises not-so-rich history to find a point guard that even comes close to the level that Lowry is playing at right now. Damon Stoudamire, perhaps? Its been a while. Casey has been pumping Lowrys tires around the league and hopes that will tip the scale in his favour when the All-Star subs are revealed. As it turns out, maybe they should have sent his backup on the campaign trail. "Kyle is an unbelievable player," said Greivis Vasquez, who started Wednesday in place of the injured DeRozan on Wednesday. "Hes doing great things, not just for the team but for the city and thats huge." "Ill tell you this, he should make it," he continued. "Its not because Im his teammate, the numbers dont lie. I mean, Im seeing it, watching it and Im enjoying it." As it happens, Lowrys not holding his breath. Although he would welcome the honour with open arms, hes acknowledged that, of the two, DeRozan will likely be the one to get the call. One way or another, Lowry has 14 teammates, a coach, and the bulk of a city that believes hes an All-Star. Regardless of the result Thursday evening - as the Raptors land in Denver to begin a five-game road swing - that is not likely to change. Cheap Jerseys nfl jerseys cheap authentic wholesale jerseys jerseys from china authentic Cheap Jerseys wholesale stitched jerseys ' ' '

"We expect him to go out there and prepare for us all week as if his life relies on it," 49ers safety Donte Whitner said. "Right now, if he goes out there and makes more mistakes, it probably will." San Francisco understands all the scrutiny and sense of panic from fans. It was crisis mode for the 49ers until they snapped a two-game losing streak with a 35-11 road rout of the Rams. That after being held to 10 total points in the first consecutive losses of coach Jim Harbaughs tenure. "The fact of the matter in the National Football League is you lose a couple of games in a row, youre in a rut, youre in big trouble," Whitner said. "They can say that about us a couple weeks ago when we lost a couple in a row, and it was true. Same thing goes for the Texans." Here are five things to watch for in Sundays prime-time matchup: NO IDENTITY CRISIS HERE: Just when everybody began questioning the NFC champion Niners defence — a unit missing linebacker Aldon Smith as he undergoes treatment for substance abuse, and injured All-Pro Patrick Willis — the group came back with a big performance. With NaVorro Bowman leading the way in Willis absence, San Francisco returned to that swarming, run-stopping defence that has defined the team in recent seasons. Bowman had five tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble against St. Louis. "The last couple years thats what this team has been built on, stopping the run and running the football," defensive end Justin Smith said. "It just seems like that St. Louis game, thats our calling card, thats our identity." GORE ON A ROLL: Harbaugh is all about getting the ball to Frank Gore. No criticism of his touches now. Not after the 49ers franchise rushing leader gained 153 yards on 20 carries with a touchdown at St. Louis. Gore typically builds off a big game. "I think its a positive. I think Frank knows who he is as a player and what hes capable of," Harbaugh said. "We know hes capable of that. He knows hes capable of that. And our offensive line knows hes capable of that. No question that everybodys inspired by what he does. Nobody does it like Frank Gore." MENACING MR. WATT: J.J. Watt has drawn comparisons to San Francisco counterpart Justin Smith for the way they each wreak havoc on opposing offences. Harbaughs assessment: "He can ruin a game for his opponent." This week, Watt is nursing a broken nose that needed six stitches. "Theres going to be blood," Watt said. "Im not out here doing cheerleading." Watt certainly appreciates the compliments and comparisons with fellow All-Pro Smith. "I have a lot of respect for Justin Smith, I love the way he plays the game, love the way he goes about his business," Watt said. PRIME-TIME FOLKS: These teams draw their share of prime-time opportunities. Thats how it goes for the two-time defending AFC South champion Texans and the two-time reigning NFC West champion Niners. San Francisco has lost its last two Sunday night games, both at Seattle. The 49ers are playing their third prime-time contest in four games, while Houston makes its second such appearance of 2013. "Its a big game for us," Schaub said. "We need to get those weeks out of our system and we need to get a win — whether its home, away, at a neutral site, against whoever." DAVIS HANDS: Vernon Davis remembers plenty from the last time the 49ers played Houston nearly four years ago. The tight end, then in his fourth NFL season, had his first three-touchdown game in the 24-21 loss. Davis is San Franciscos second-leading receiver this season behind Anquan Boldin, with 11 catches for 136 yards and three touchdowns. ____ AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org Fans burned Schaubs jersey after the Texans (2-2) failed on two overtime opportunities in a demoralizing 23-20 home defeat to unbeaten Seattle last week. Wholesale Jerseys .J. Ward has been added to the Pro Bowl roster, giving Cleveland six players at this years game. Cheap NFL Jerseys China .   Speedskater Sven Kramer says he will "likely" skip the 1,500 meters next Saturday to fully centre on the 10,000 instead for his second gold of the Games. Wholesale Jerseys .   The Dutchman, who already won the 5,000 meters during the opening weekend of the Olympics, said Monday that the middle-distance would likely be too much of a distraction during his preparation for the longer race on Feb. 18, which he is bent on winning after his blunder at the 2010 Vancouver Games.   Four years ago, gold was seemingly assured when his coach sent him into the wrong lane on a crossover and got him disqualified.   Kramer said that even if his coach said he could take 1,500 gold too, "it is the 10K I want to win. That is why I came here."    Cheap NFL Jerseys . The team confirmed on Monday that the 26-year-old had arthroscopic elbow surgery last week and is expected to be out until mid-to-late May. Cheap Jerseys From China . -- Decked out in Angels gear from head to toe, Albert Pujols looked like the same slugger whose swing in St.SAN ANTONIO -- The San Antonio Spurs are whole for the first time in months and they performed in the same efficient style that helped them battle through the rash of injuries. Tony Parker had 22 points and seven assists in his return from a six-game absence, leading San Antonios balanced attack in a 112-106 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night. Parker played with his usual relentlessness, finishing 10 for 15 from the field on a series of breakneck drives. He also had just one turnover in 32 minutes, and the Spurs had six players score in double figures. "I thought Parker looked great again coming off a nice little 10-day break they can afford to give him," Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki said. "And he just comes in and looks great." Despite a series of injuries, San Antonio (43-16) remains 1 1/2 games behind Oklahoma City (45-15) for the top seed in the Western Conference. Tim Duncan scored 17 points, Kawhi Leonard added 16 and Boris Diaw had 13 points and 10 rebounds for San Antonio. Manu Ginobili had 15 points and seven assists as the Spurs extended their winning streak to three games. Nowitzki scored 22 points, Vince Carter added 21 and Monta Ellis had 17 for the Mavericks, who have lost eight straight to the Spurs. Parker looked refreshed after not playing since Feb. 10 for what San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich officially listed as "rest," but unofficially was due to a series of lower body maladies. "I think it was a little bit of (a physical and mental rest)," Parker said. "Pop, I trust his judgment. I didnt want to admit it to myself. But maybe I was tired mentally. Its a lot of basketball the last three years with no break; the (French) national team and NBA. It definitely helped, I felt fresh." The French point guard made his first shot, and on the ensuing possession, drove into the heart of the paint to draw the defence and fired a pass to Leonard for an open 3-pointer that gave San Antonio a 5-2 lead. "I just try to penetrate and make stuff happen," Parker said. "Obviously, I want to score; but I want to do both. I want to create shots for my teammates. Myself and Manu (Ginobili), we can create a lot of offence, we have great shooters all around us. I cant remember the last time we had everybody." Parker punctuated his reeturn with a left-handed layup from the right side of the rim to avoid Dalemberts reach with 45 seconds remaining. Cheap Jerseys. "Hes been an MVP candidate, really each of the last three, four, five years," Dallas coach Rick Carlisle said. "Look, hes that good and he was obviously fresh tonight. He hit shots that were the shots that were there. Youve got to give him credit for that and we needed to be a little bit better on our coverages." The Spurs visibly frustrated Nowitzki, who continually yelled at officials. Popovich alternated Splitter, Diaw and Leonard defensively on Nowitzki, who shot 9 of 17. "It was just to give him a different look," Popovich said of the rotations. "Hes such a great player. Nobody stops him. At least giving him a different look makes me feel better like Im trying, like Im doing something." Nowitzki also committed two early fouls. "The first one was stupid," he said. "I saw the ball, kind of reach for it. By the time I reached for it, the ball was gone and I hit his arm. I missed my first two shots. I think I was a little anxious; I really wanted to play well. By the time I settled in in the second quarter, I was little too hyped up." Carter kept the Mavericks in the game almost single-handedly in the first half, as Dallas trailed just 48-47. Ginobili scored eight straight points, including a pair of 3-pointers, as the Spurs opened a 78-67 lead with a minute remaining. Ginobili, who was 2 for 5 on 3s, was energized by the teams return to health. "For Tim and Tony, its been a while, more than a month, probably without all three playing," Ginobili said. "It feels good. As I said the last two games, its very important for us to be healthy, to start feeling confident, to start playing with each other again over the last stretch of the season." NOTES: The Spurs have had 24 different lineups this season. ... San Antonio has won 12 of 14 regular-season games against Dallas. The Mavericks have not beaten the Spurs since a 106-99 victory on March 17, 2012, in Dallas. ... Popovich and Nowitzki engaged in somewhat contentious banter during the game. When Nowitzki was whistled for fouling Parker on a drive, he yelled at official Derek Richardson as he left for a substitution, "Just because (Popovichs) yelling doesnt mean theres a foul." Cheap Jerseys nfl jerseys cheap authentic wholesale jerseys jerseys from china authentic Cheap Jerseys wholesale stitched jerseys ' ' '

with a high rate of violent home invasions.

PRETORIA, South Africa - Oscar Pistorius murder trial enters a critical phase Monday as his defence team attempts to recover from a faltering start and reinforce the disabled athletes claim that he fatally shot girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp by mistake because he was overwhelmed by a long-held fear of violent crime. Wallace Gilberry Jersey Black Friday . Pistorius mindset when he stood on his stumps in a bathroom and pulled the trigger on his 9 mm pistol in the early hours of Feb. 14, 2013 remains the crux of the South African trial that has captured worldwide attention and is about to start its seventh week of globally televised proceedings. It was initially scheduled to run for three weeks. Judge Thokozile Masipa will analyze thousands of pages of testimony before she reaches a verdict, but ultimately must ponder the pivotal question: Did Pistorius fire his gun with the intention to kill or out of a misplaced belief that his life was in danger from a perceived intruder? South Africa does not have trial by jury, meaning Masipa will decide, with the help of two assessors, if Pistorius overall account is believable and whether the apparent inconsistencies in his testimony count against him or are unimportant in the bigger picture. If Pistorius defence, which will resume calling witnesses Monday after a two-week trial recess, can show that his story of a tragic error is a reasonable explanation, even the double-amputee runners shaky testimony would be rendered irrelevant and the judge should acquit him of murder, legal experts say. While testifying, Pistorius sometimes contradicted earlier testimony and other times said he did not remember details. "The test doesnt end there," former state prosecutor Marius du Toit said of Pistorius testimony. "Its not over. They (the defence) can still show there is another plausible scenario." Du Toit has over 20 years experience in South Africas criminal justice system and is following the trial closely. He said it must be shown that Pistorius had the "sole intention" to kill Steenkamp to be convicted of murder. Pistorius, 27, doesnt dispute that he shot 29-year-old Steenkamp through a toilet door. He claims the killing was accidental and he fired four times in quick succession without thinking and while terrified, believing that an intruder had climbed up a ladder and through a bathroom window of his Pretoria villa in the pre-dawn hours and was about to come out of the cubicle and attack him. Prosecutors charge that the story is an intricate lie designed to cover up a murder. They say the couple fought, Steenkamp fled to the toilet screaming and Pistorius followed her and shot her through the wood door while they were arguing. She was hit in the hip, arm and head. Charged with premeditated murder, the first amputee to run at the Olympics faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted. He was once widely admired for overcoming the amputation of his lower legs as a baby to earn the right to run against the worlds top able-bodied athletes. The prosecutions case appeared to be bolstered as holes in Pistorius story were exposed when the athlete was on the stand for a fierce five-day cross-examination by prosecutor Gerrie Nel. Nel also succeeded in undermining the evidence given by the defences first two expert witnesses, a pathologist and a former police forensic scientist. But defence lawyers have only presented three of up to 17 witnesses they say they may ask to testify. At the outset of the defences case, lawyer Barry Roux said Pistorius actions on Valentines Day last year centred on his "disability" and "vulnerability" and Pistorius team will likely seek to rebuild the overall argument that his actions were guided by fear and not anger in a country with a high rate of violent home invasions. Roux said he will also show that a crucial thread of the prosecutions case is not true; that neighbours heard a woman screaming before and during the shots fired by Pistorius at around 3.17 a.m. on the fatal night. The lawyer said neighbours who live closer to Pistorius house in an upscale gated community in the suburbs of South Africas capital never heard a woman scream. Instead, it was Pistorius high-pitched shrieks for help after realizing his terrible mistake, the defence argues. A.J. Hawk Bengals Jersey Cyber Monday . Malcolm Brogdon also scored 15 for Virginia (11-0), which is off to its best start since the 1992-93 season. BARCELONA, Spain -- David Zurutuza lasted only five minutes, but it was long enough to score the opening double in Real Sociedads 5-1 rout of Sporting Gijon in the Spanish league on Sunday. Brian Urlacher Bears Jersey Cyber Monday . The 25-year-old midfielder volleyed Antoine Griezmanns cross into the left corner for Sociedads second-minute opener, and a minute later he stunned Sporting with another shot from the right side of the area after Carlos Vela had played him clear. "Those goals were just surreal," said Sporting coach Manolo Preciado. "All the goals that they had missed earlier in the season went in today." But Zurutuzas dream start took an ugly turn in the fifth minute when he and Sporting defender Gregory Arnolin collided face-to-face while disputing a loose ball. Zurutuza was taken off on a stretcher, and the Basque club said after the game that he had a broken nose and will need surgery. Gregory tried to continue after cleaning the blood from his face but was substituted soon after. Miguel de las Cuevas grabbed one back for Sporting two minutes after halftime, only to see Sociedads Gorka Elustondo tap in a poorly defended corner kick in the 75th. Mikel Aranburu and Griezmann scored in stoppage time at Anoeta stadium to seal a win that lifted Sociedad four points clear of the drop. "Its a pity for Zurutuza to score the two goals in such good form and then hurt his nose," said Sociedad coach Philippe Montanier. "We will keep him in our thoughts." Earlier, Granada coach Abel Resino got off to a winning start as his team moved out of the relegation zone with a 2-1 win at Real Betis, while third-place Valencia was held to a 2-2 draw at Racing Santander. Striker Odion Ighalo put Granada ahead in the 13th minute with a low shot from the edge of the area, and Carlos Martins finished off a counterattack for the visitors second five minutes before halftime. The home side improved after the interval and substitute Jonathan Pereira made it 2-1 in the 81st but that was as close as Betis came. Resino, a former Atletico Madrid coach, took over promoted Granada earlier this week after Fabricio Gonzalez was fired following a three-game losing streak. "The feelings are good, but we saw a little of everything today," said Resino. "Weve been working together for just a week so we cant ask for big things." Valencia looked set to get its first win in four weeks when substitute Aritz Aduriz scored two second-half goals to cancel out Adrian Gonzalezs early opener for Racing. But defender Bernardo Espinosa headed home Racings equalizer in the 88th to split the points in a physical contest marked by another scary head-to-head collision. Racings Papakouly Diop and Valencias Mehmet Topal knocked heads with around 20 minutes to play, leaving Diop temporarily unconscious on the pitch before being substituted. Topal was also taken off on a stretcher. Racings Pedro Munitis and Valencias Ricardo Costa were both sent off late with second bookings for a spat near the end of the match. Also, Getafe dealt Levante its second home loss of the season with a 2-1 win. Sevilla is at Malaga later, while Atletico Madrid visits Osasuna on Monday. On Saturday, Real Madrid moved seven points clear at the top of table with a 3-1 win over last-place Zaragoza and Barcelonas 0-0 draw at Villarreal. Also, Fernando Llorente scored a hat trick to give Athletic Bilbao a 3-0 win at Rayo Vallecano, and Espanyol edged 10-man Mallorca 1-0. The team confirmed on Monday that the 26-year-old had arthroscopic elbow surgery last week and is expected to be out until mid-to-late May.After one of the greatest offensive halves in league history, the San Antonio Spurs will try to put a stranglehold on the NBA Finals when they visit AmericanAirlines Arena for Game 4 against the Miami Heat. You can watch the game live on TSN and TSN GO at 8:30pm et/5:30pm pt. or listen to the game live on TSN Radio 1050 Toronto and TSN Radio 1260 Edmonton. The Spurs shot a Finals record 75.8 percent from the floor in the first half in Tuesdays Game 3. They blitzed the Heat during that first 24 minutes, building a 25-point lead at one point and posting a 111-92 victory. San Antonio registered 41 first-quarter points and led 71-50 after the first half. The Heat stormed back a bit in the third, but the Spurs were too much. They reclaimed homecourt advantage and snapped Miamis 11-game home winning streak in the postseason dating back to Game 1 of last years Finals. "We think we can win on every court. We have the best record on the road, and we love playing on the road. Sometimes I feel like we play better on the road than at home," Spurs guard Tony Parker said after practice on Wednesday. "So I dont think we had doubts that we can win in Miami. Now we realized it was a crazy game and were not going to play like that every night, thats for sure. But hopefully we can keep playing well." Kawhi Leonard was the hero for the Spurs on Tuesday with a career-high 29 points. Leonard, who had scored just 18 points over the first two games of the Finals, shot 10-of-13 from the floor and went 6-of-7 from the free throw line for the Spurs. "I was focused on both ends the first two games. I just got in some foul trouble. Wasnt really able to get into a rhythm, and Heat did a good job by playing aggressive on defense," said Leonard. "I just made shots last minute." In addition to his offensive output, Leonard served as the primary defender against LeBron James, who supplied 22 points, seven assists, five rebounds and five steals, but committed seven of Miamis 20 turnovers in the setback. Danny Greeen added 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the floor, while Parker and Tim Duncan contributed 15 and 14 points, respectively, in the victory. Dick Butkus Bears Jersey Cyber Monday. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich made a change to the starting lineup prior to Game 3, inserting Boris Diaw for Tiago Splitter. The decision paid off as Diaw didnt post flashy numbers (nine points, three assists), but he helped facilitate the offense. For the Heat, the loss was bad and ruined a chance at a perfect home record during the postseason, but all is not lost. Miami is 13-0 following a loss in the playoffs dating back to 2012. "Youre always on edge in the postseason, but I dont want to be concerned at this point," James said after practice on Wednesday. "For us we have to make the adjustments. We owned what we had to do today in the film session and well come in with a better mindset tomorrow. But that doesnt mean it results in a win, too. But we have to play with a little bit more focus and a little bit more challenge." Dwyane Wade finished with 22 points, while Rashard Lewis went 4-of-5 from 3- point range en route to 14 points for the Heat. Wade, playing in his 150th career postseason game, surpassed Dirk Nowitzki (3,455) for 17th place on the NBAs all-time postseason scoring list. Chris Bosh had a slow night with only nine points thanks to just 12 touches. Mario Chalmers continued to struggle badly. He finished with just two points and has 10 for the whole series. "You want him to know we still have faith in him, trust in him and we need him," said Heat coach Erik Spoelstra on Wednesday. "And hes been able to play through tough times and been able to bounce back." Spoelstra indicated no lineup changes were forthcoming. The winner of Game 3 of a tied NBA Finals series has gone on to win the series 83 percent of the time (30-6). However, the Spurs won last years Game 3 with the set tied 1-1 and went on to lose in seven games to the Heat. Game 5 will be Sunday night back in San Antonio. Cheap Jerseys nfl jerseys cheap authenticwholesale jerseys jerseys from china authentic Cheap Jerseys wholesale stitched jerseys ' ' '
